He looked at me with his darkening eyes and said, "Come and close the door."

I nodded, closed the door, and followed him. I asked childishly, "You do not have to get married if you can give birth and feed the baby, don't you?"

He turned around looking at me, pursed his lips, and raised his eyebrows, "What exactly do you want to say?"

Anne hardly needs any care. All she did was drink milk, slept, and curiously explored the surroundings with her big round eyes.

Occasionally, her little hands would reach out to grab things that caught her eye. Hendrix was busy in the kitchen. He left his mobile phone in the baby room when he was carrying Anne's belongings. When the phone vibrated, Anne would listen attentively trying to replace out the source of the sound.

I did not answer the call, instead, I shouted, "Hendrix, your phone is ringing."

There was a clatter of water in the kitchen, and he answered, "you take it!"

Then there was no more sound in the kitchen.

I looked at the caller ID; it was Andrea.

I frowned and answered the call. Before I could say anything, I heard a cry from the other end of the line.

"Hendrix, can you come to see me? I don't understand why my mother wants me to stay in the hospital. Why isn't she taking me back to the Pearis Manor? Hendrix, is she leaving me?" Valerie does not want Andrea to live in Pearis Manor? Why?
