Andrea's face turned pale, and she hoped to get sympathy from Hendrix.

Hendrix's face didn't look too good. He said coldly, "There is not enough space in the car. Wait for Austin!"

Then he went around her, started the engine, and left!

I looked at Andrea from the rearview mirror, who was standing on the same spot. I looked at Hendrix, frowning, "Don't you feel sorry for her?"

He pursed his lips and looked at me, "Do you want me to feel sorry for her?"

"Just drive!" It is the same for me whether he felt sorry for her or not.

Anne was well-behaved along the way, probably because she liked to sit in the car. She was very excited, and from time to time, she would even stretch out her little hands to grab things.

Our car stopped outside the Paris Manor, at the gate of the villa. Valerie and Pedro were standing at the door and seemed to have waited for a long time.

Valerie came to me upon seeing us. She smiled,

"There you are. Dinner is ready. We're just waiting for you."

Both Valerie and Pedro looked at each other when Hendrix brought Anne out of the car. They looked surprised, and asked me, "The child survived?"

I pressed my lips together, and I turned hostile, "Valerie, are you going to try again?"

Valerie's eyes suddenly turned red. She shook her head hard and said, "No, don't think too much about it, child. I'm happy. I am glad the baby is all right." Hendrix was holding Anne. He did not say much, only said, "Let's go!"

The dining area was located on the first floor. Both lan and Sawyer had arrived, so were Josiah and Chloe whom Arianna had not seen in a long time. Arianna was very surprised to see her here.

lan once said Chloe was the reason Monique got into an accident. I felt irritated looking at the woman who has become more elegant.

"Arianna, come sit here!" lan hurriedly waved to me when she saw me.

I walked over to lan and sat next to her. Hendrix pushed the baby stroller next to my seat.

Pearis Manor was probably the largest villa in

Ucrebury. The dining area occupied more than hundreds of square meters, which was larger than the ordinary dining area.

The round table was very large. If one hadn't spoken loudly, the other side would not be able to hearthem clearly.

Valerie seemed to be extra attentive and gentle to me. She ordered the servants to serve the dishes, while she and Pedro sat beside Hendrix and me. Overlooking Anne in the stroller who was still very excited, Valerie responded with a smiling face, "She is so cute, she should be about four months old now." Pedro glanced at my icy-cold face and asked in a melancholic tone, "Arianna, this child is a little smaller than a normal child. Is she keeping up with the nutrition?"

I pursed my lips and looked unhappy, "She suffered a lot when she was born, so she looks smaller than a normal child."

Valerie pulled Pedro to her side, painfully blaming herself, "It's my fault, it's all my fault."

I felt puzzled looking at both of them. I turned to Hendrix. He petted my hand, giving me support. He then looked at both of them and said, "Please sit down." Valerie and Pedro sat down, probably sensed my resentment.

I couldn't help feeling confused. First, this person's attitude towards me was completely different from the beginning until the present.

Second, Pedro would have known Valerie's past from the video by now. Why was he still able to treat her so calmly?

Is there a man who did not care about his wife's past? Why can Pedro face it so calmly?

There were still things that I hadn't see and not figured out.

There were guests who have not arrived, but Valerie invited everyone to start eating, "Please dig in."

A loud noise from outside caught everyone's attention before Valerie could finish her sentence. It was Andrea who shouted, "Mother, what did I do wrong? Why are you avoiding me?"
