My Pretty Sweetheart (Arianna) -
Chapter 555
At the airport exit, she glanced at me again and made a suggestion, "How about we give you a ride? You're not familiar with this place. Won't you get lost?" I smiled at this sweet, adorable girl and replied, "Miss Granger, don't worry. I won't get lost."
She puffed up her cute little face and said, "Alright then, but do save my phone number. If you get lost in Mesville, you can always reach out to me."
As soon as I saved her contact number, her phone rang. She immediately answered it and started scanning her surroundings for the person she was looking for. When she spotted a black Ferrari not too far away, she waved and said into her phone, "Honey, I'm here."
With that, she glanced at me and said, "Arianna, I'm going to go now. See you around!"
As bid me goodbye, she ran towards the black car. Once she entered the car, the car window rolled down, revealing her delicate face.
She yelled all the way from the car, "Goodbye, Arianna!"
When I looked towards her direction, I saw her face. But the man beside her also caught my attention, and I felt as if I had been struck by lightning.
Mr. Granger.
Irvin!
How could this be possible? I saw him take his last breath in a pool of his own blood. How could this be possible?
The man gave me a cold stare as he stayed seated in his car. Then, he tore his gaze away coldly and started the car.
It was as if he was looking at a stranger. The car pulled away and I stood there for a good minute, having lost all my senses.
It was only when my cell phone kept ringing continuously that I realized where I was and what had just happened. I answered the phone, still neck-deep in shock.
A grim and anger-laden voice sounded from the other end of the phone, "Where are you?"
I was dumbfounded. It was Hendrix.
"I'm at the airport." Looking up, it looked like it would rain, so I walked around until I found a shaded place to stand at.
He questioned me, sounding so mad that he could tear someone apart. "Where are you going? It's the middle of the night in Ucrebury now. Arianna, do you have to make me worry like this? You only told me that you had something to do. Then, your phone was off for a few hours. Don't you know that others will worry about you?"
"I'm at the Mesville airport," I stated, seeing that it was already drizzling.
The anger on the other end of the phone suddenly dissipated. There was some uncertainty in his voice when he asked again, "Where are you?"
I was looking for a taxi and said to the phone, "At the airport in Mesville, I'm going to take a taxi to Roberts Group."
"Why?" He sounded a little sad, like there was something he couldn't say.
"I miss you, so I'm came here to look for you!" I never knew how to be affectionate or coy like other girls, so I just went straight to the point.
"Stay there and wait for me!" He answered. His voice was deep and sultry.
I was startled and looked around. When I saw a taxi coming not far away, I asked, "Aren't you at Roberts Group?"
He smiled pleasantly and responded, "Mmhmm!"
I was about to say something, but my body was abruptly pulled into someone's arms by force. It was sudden but passionate. I was then held tightly in his arms.
With my head nestled between the person's arms, I was astounded when I smelled Hendrix's familiar scent.
After being hugged by him for a long time, I looked up at the man who was travel- stained. There were wrinkles on his black shirt, likely left by the long hug we had just shared. There was some stubble on his usually smooth and clean-shaved chin.
His dark and bright eyes were bloodshot while his voice was hoarse and sexy when he asked, "Tired?"
I shook my head and placed my frozen hand into his clothes and right under his armpits.
He raised his hands and held my face. His hands were very warm as he held my face closer to his before firmly kissing me.
It was a kiss that almost swallowed me whole. He didn't care about passersby at all. He couldn't wait to ravish me.
If we weren't at the airport at this time, he might have gone to town with me right there and then.
After getting in the car, Hendrix instructed the driver to head straight to the hotel and pressed on the visor of the back seat. Hendrix pressed me against the seat with no intention of restraining himself. I raised my hand to grab his and asked, "Why are you guys at the airport?"
