I shook my head, "Nope!"

Fortunately, there was no traffic jam and we arrived at the hotel in forty minutes. I got out of the car and went straight into the lobby.

Aaron followed me and walked in as well. When I checked in, the lady at the front desk would look at the handsome man with one hand in his pocket who was standing behind me. After checking in, the attendant lady saw me holding the child while trying to carry our bags. She asked, "Miss, will you be alright? Would you like me to take you upstairs?"

"That's not necessary. I'll take her there!" Aaron answered before I could respond.

The attendant was taken aback, "Mr. Reid!"

Aaron nodded and picked up the bags on the ground before I could. Then, he took the room card from the attendant and walked towards the elevator.

I frowned and didn't say anything else.

After entering the hotel room, he saw that I didn't want to talk to him, so he checked the safety and security in the room before ringing up a meal.

After a whole day of travelling, I was a little tired. When I saw that he wasn't leaving anytime soon, I couldn't help but say, "If you have nothing else to do, you can go back home. I want to rest for a while!" Seeing that I took the initiative to speak to him, his black eyes flashed with a glimmer of light. Soon, he responded, "I ordered you something to eat. You can sleep after eating. I promise I won't disturb you." I was speechless.

I didn't say anything else and went straight into the bathroom. After washing up, I took out Anne's milk bottle and diapers.

When she woke up later, I would feed her and change her diapers.

It didn't take long for the food to arrive. I preferred bland-tasting food and the dishes he ordered were just up my food preference alley. He put the dishes on the table.

My gaze fell on him and I said emotionlessly, "The food is here. You can leave now!"

He wanted to say something, but when he saw that Anne had woken up in bed, he couldn't help but say happily, "Anne has woken up. It'll be troublesome for you to eat and take care of her at the same time. So, I'll watch over her and when you're done eating, I'll leave."

I didn't say much. I was indeed famished. I quickly took a few bites of the food, then asked the hotel staff to take the tableware away.

Anne kept crying. Perhaps she wasn't familiar with the environment, so I immediately helped her change her diapers.

I seldom used the water in hotels. After thinking about it, I glanced at him and pointed out, "I need some hot mineral water."

He nodded. He probably knew what I was going to do, so he instantly left the hotel.

After he left, I breastfed Anne and she stopped crying.

When Aaron came back in, he let a few people move in a water fountain and a barrel of mineral water. He also brought a new basin.

"When you bathe Anne later, you can use this mineral water. Her skin is tender..." After speaking, he looked at me, face full of concern and attentiveness towards Anne.

I nodded and poured some water to wipe Anne's face. The little fellow slept well and was now full, so she was in high spirits.

I'd been working hard all day and felt a little sleepy. After Aaron carried Anne into his arms, I unconsciously fell asleep on the sofa.

When I woke up, the sky was already dark. Seeing that Anne was not by my side, I was so shocked that I immediately sat up on the sofa.

The blanket which was placed over my body slipped to the ground. I subconsciously looked around the room and I found that Anne was nowhere to be seen.

I was quite calm as I took out my phone and called Aaron.

Before I could reach him through the phone, the door opened.

Aaron pushed a stroller in, and there Anne was -fast asleep in the stroller.

Aaron was astonished when he caught sight of me sweating up a puddle of cold sweat. "I saw that you didn't bring anything to Jarold City, so I asked someone to get you some clothes and daily necessities. Jarold City is colder than Ucrebury, so you have to wash and change regularly."

I nodded and heaved a sigh of relief after taking a look at Anne. I sat back on the sofa and stared at him. After that, I said, "Thank you. It's getting late. You should go home now!"

He set his eyes on me and said in a daze, "Arianna, I know that you resent me. You can beat or scold me, but I'm still your older brother. You can't push me away. You and Anne need to be taken care of by someone."

I puckered my lips and answered, my eyes darkening as I told him off. "No, I can take care of her. Please go home!"
