My Sweetheart -
Chapter396 I will never let the one I want go
Kathy felt warmth in her heart at the moment. She had been shattered and bruised before she met Joseph, but her world was no longer cold after knowing him. Standing on tiptoe, she met his deep black eyes and kissed his chin. She relaxed, and then leaned reliantly on his chest.
Regardless of the final result, she would try her best to replace out what happened this time.
However, there was not much time left for her.
It would be a week before the nurse who had negotiated with her returned home.
They returned to the dorm absent-mindedly, but Joseph didn't let go of her hand.
"Don't go to the hospital tomorrow." He said.
"But... I'm still in charge of the patient."
"Aaron has found a student to replace you, now all you have to do is wait for Benedict to return."
"Do you think I will sit back and do nothing?" Kathy said irritably.
"You will not, so stay with me." After the words came, Joseph led her into the car without any explanation. Kathy resisted," No, I still stay in school."
"But, I am worried about you."
Joseph fastened Kathy's seat belt, and prevented her from leaving.
In fact, she didn't want to leave him either.
She wanted Joseph to be with her at her most vulnerable moment.
Her mobile phone was charged in the car for a while, and Zofia's call came after the phone was turned on.
"Kathy, where have you been?"
"I was walking in school just now, and I won't go back tonight."
"Where are you? I'll come to you."
Kathy glanced at Joseph. "I'm with Joseph tonight."
"Then I can set my mind at rest. Please let me know if you are in trouble."
After hanging up, Kathy watched Joseph holding her hand, and her mood gradually lightened.
The Joseph Bay.
All her clothes and daily necessities were still in their previous locations, so it was very convenient for her to live.
Kathy found the decoration in the room completely unchanged and stopped Joseph, "Why don't you clear my stuff?" After all, they divorced.
Joseph lowered his eyes, looking at her keenly, "Aren't you back now?"
"Do you have a crystal ball..."Kathy murmured.
"I will never let the one I want go." Joseph clasped her head and kissed her. His kisses were the same as what he said, both overbearing and irresistible.
...
The Hilton Group.
A smile gradually curved Billy's thin lips as he listened to the assistant's report.
"Joseph gave up the land behind the Ocean University Hospital? It seems he is unwilling to give up on Kathy."
"Joseph is investigating this matter. I'm afraid he will replace out something..."
"Don't worry. I've always done things perfectly. If we want to defeat Joseph, we must start with his weakness. Don't let Benedict come back, understand?" Billy ordered. Before long, the secretary came to report that the person in charge of the investor arrived.
Billy thought he could meet the boss behind the scenes, but only saw a subordinate, he was a little unhappy.
"When will your boss come over? I'd like to express my thanks to him."Billy said politely.
"My boss is in Europe now and really can't spare the time to come over, please forgive us. Since funds are available, there'll be no problem."
Billy was still a little nervous after the agreement was signed.
In the next few days, Kathy stayed in Joseph Bay. Benedict was not here, and the internship at the hospital was replaced. Kathy had nothing to do but read the book. Kathy didn't go to school until Friday, when it was Joseph's class.
That day, Joseph went to school with her.
However, Kathy wanted to get off the car before arriving at school. She was notorious now and didn't want Joseph to be affected. After all, he had always been a professor whom everyone admired. However, Joseph saw through her mind and did not stop. "Kathy, you stay by my side, no one dares to talk about you."
Kathy raised her eyes and looked at Joseph nervously.
She had never been afraid of being criticized and questioned.
She just didn't want to get Joseph into trouble.
"You are a professor after all." She said in a low voice.
When the passing classmates saw Kathy, they looked at her sarcastically.
Many things happened one after another since Kathy came to Ocean University, and almost everyone knew about her.
Although Joseph was dissatisfied, he knew Kathy's feelings and was distressed greatly about her sufferings.
In the classroom, Kathy always sat aside. There were no classmates around her, they were all sitting at a distance from her, as if avoiding her.
Kathy looked down. Although she had a good attitude, she also felt a little lost at the moment.
After class, Joseph was surrounded by many students as always. Zofia knew Kathy was back, and immediately came to look for her.
On the way to the dining hall, Kathy was surrounded by all kinds of comments.
"Kathy, what's going on in the hospital?" Zofia was worried.
"Wait until Benedict comes back."
"Well, how could such an accident happen, are you framed?" Zofia believed Kathy.
It was almost a semester since she and Kathy become roommates, and she knew what kind of person Kathy was.
"I have no idea, I don't know anything now." Kathy murmured.
"But, I didn't do anything wrong." Kathy affirmed.
However, everything that happened now made her unable to explain.
"I hope Benedict will come back quickly. Doesn't he come back in three days? It's almost a week since they went out for the meeting." Zofia remembered.
This also reminded Kathy that, indeed, Benedict should have returned long ago.
This matter would not detain long.
Sure enough, the principal called Kathy to go to his office in the afternoon.
She probably knew what she was about to face, so she hadn't stepped in for a long time.
Until Aaron Fisher came to her and said sarcastically, "Are you scared?"
"Mr. Fisher, I am not afraid." Kathy scowled.
Now she knew that Aaron was aimed at her.
Maybe it was because of Joseph, or maybe it was because of other reasons she didn't know.
"Really? Then go in." Aaron sneered.
In the spacious office, the principal was sitting on the sofa, with Aaron beside him, proficiently making tea for him.
Obviously, they were on good terms.
Kathy's mood darkened.
"Have a seat." The principal's face was indifferent.
Kathy did not sit down, waiting for the principal to speak.
"According to the report submitted by the hospital, in the operation you participated in last week, because you took the surgical tools that have not yet completed the disinfection procedure into the operating room, the patient is now suffering from a serious infection. Although you are only a graduate student, this is the most basic common sense, don't you know that?" The principal said angrily. Kathy looked at him frankly, "Principal, regarding this incident, the nurse who handed over the surgical tools to me told me that the tools had been disinfected, and then I took them into the operating room with confidence."
"But the surveillance video I saw was not like that."
"I don't know why, but the situation at the time was indeed not what you saw." Kathy explained.☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐☐
