Night of Destiny ( Anastasia Tillman ) -
Chapter 2709
Chapter 2709
It’s him! Ezekiel. He came!
Harmony could not help but ask, “Are you sure I need to change seats?” “Yes, that’s right. Please don’t
worry, Miss Mayo,” said the staff member. She nodded and got up to follow the staff member.
Catalina turned and spotted Harmony, too. She curiously watched where the lady was going, only to
see the staff member lead her to the first row and seat her next to Ezekiel.
He looked up at Harmony with a smile. Clad in a dark gray suit, he seemed to have taken a break from
a grand party, looking even more handsome and stylish than all the actors present.
Seeing her name placed next to his seat, she sat down and whispered, “Why did you switch my seat?”
“What’s wrong? Don’t you like to sit next to me?” he asked curiously.
Harmony shook her head with a smile. “It’s not that I don’t like it, but that my status in the industry
doesn’t merit a seat in the first row yet.” “With me here, you can sit wherever you want,” replied Ezekiel,
sizing her up with his eyes. She looked elegant and lovely with her smooth, radiant skin and tip-tilted
nose. Her pink lips were alluring with a hint of innocence, but they attracted him the most because he
already knew how tender they were.
Sitting in her seat, Catalina clenched her fists in frustration. How is that possible? How did Harmony
qualify for a seat in the first row-next to Ezekiel, at that? Damn it!
Fuming, she bit her lip, determined to make a fuss about this to get everyone in showbiz to mock
Harmony. After all, hierarchy was taken very seriously in this industry, where juniors were not supposed
to steal the limelight from their seniors.
And sure enough, besides Catalina, others also began to notice this. Those of higher status than
Harmony were seated in the second and third rows, making it more conspicuous that she, a relatively
new actress, was seated in the first row.
How could this not arouse envy among others?
“Who is that girl? Is she remarkable or something?” asked an actress while staring at Harmony.
“She’s just a rising starlet. There’s nothing remarkable about her.” “Then, why is she sitting there? That
seat isn’t for her.” “That’s right! How shameless of her to squeeze herself into the first row. I wonder
who gave her the nerve.” Hearing the voices condemning Harmony from all sides, Catalina felt even
more pleased. Harmony has now become a public enemy in the whole industry, hasn’t she? No matter
how powerful Ezekiel is, he can’t always protect her, right?
That’s unless she marries him and becomes his wife. But given her status, is she good enough for such
an elite and prestigious family?
Harmony’s phone beeped with a message. She looked at it, and it was from Leon Musk, the director of
her film. ‘Harmony, why are you sitting in the first row? Now, everyone’s got a bone to pick with you.
Hurry and ask the staff to get your seat changed!” She glanced back in response, noticing the giggling
actors and actresses whose gazes showed mockery and disdain toward her. It was as if she had
encroached upon their rights by sitting here. Deep down inside, she also understood the need to be
modest and keep a low profile to try to gain favor. As a minor actress, she did not have the license to
be bold. Even if Ezekiel granted her this privilege, she did not deserve it.
“Mr. Weiss, m-may I switch back to my previous seat?” she asked softly, leaning close to him.
“Why?” he inquired, leaning over to her.
“It’s because I’m… just a newcomer. I can’t sit here. It’s too conspicuous,” she explained.
After listening to this, the man turned to look at the actors and actresses behind him. Many of them had
not seen his face before, but the moment he turned around, the actresses seated in the rows behind
him gasped in astonishment.
This guy’s handsome face is captivating!
