"Is there a chance he may be mine?" he ask again, I couldn't formwords so I just nodded. Thankfully that made him stop and remove hishands to rest on my hips, I struggle with my breathing as I leant againstthe wall. with quick movements I'm spun around and slammed into thewall with his head in my neck.

"Good, if he is then your mine." he growls, I just stare at the wall whilehe nips my neck.

"Xander you need to stop, my son will." I didn't get a chance to sayanymore.

"What do you think your doing with my mummy?" my son shouts, I cansee his little body starts to shake once more and his eyes change tobright purple.

With all my strength I push Xander away, sending him flying into thewall and then I ran over to Xaiden, I drop in front of him.

"Honey calm down, I'm okay." I reach for him but he moved so fast thathe's now standing in front me in a protective stance.

"You do not get to touch my mummy without going through me first."he growls at Xander who is smiling at him in awe.

"I wasn't hurting your mummy little man, I was showing her my love." Iraise a brow at his words, well that's a load of shit, I thought to myself."That's not how we show our love and she can only love me." I hug himfrom behind and then feel him turn in my arms and wrap his armsaround my neck.

"sh my sweet boy, I got you." I stand up with him in my arms and walkinto the lounge room where I sat on the sofa.

"Do you love him mum?" he looks up at me with dark blue eyes.

"I did over five years ago.” I admit with a sad smile, he looks into myeyes as though he is trying to see through my soul.

"he left you like they all do.” it wasn't a question more of a statementon the facts.

"Yes." was my only answer to that.

"No I didn't leave your mummy.” We both turn to see Xander in thedoor way leaning on the frame with his arms crossed and legs crossedat the ankles.

"If you didn't leave, then she wouldn't be sad.” I look at my son wholooks so grown up at this very moment.

"She left me little man."Xander's words made Xaiden look at me forconfirmation, 1 give him a small nod to confirm it was true. He frownsand then grabs my face to assess my features.

"I can see it."l frown at him.

"See what?" Damn I had a bad feeling about this.

"He left you and when you woke your alone, you waited a week untilyou got sick and then left.” tears made there way down my cheeks, Iwas beyond stunned with how he knew all this.

"Is that true?" I hear Xander ask but I couldn't take my eyes off Xaiden." How?" I felt stupid but it was all I could ask.

"My wolf told me mummy.” He laughs and that's all it takes for me tolaugh with him.

"You have will always be my baby boy." I kiss his head.

"I'm going for a shower you watch a movie okay." he nods and facesthe television. I walk past Xander and into my room, I feel him followme but said nothing. I grab jeans and a singlet with underwear andthen walk into the bathroom. Again he follows me in without a word, Iturn the shower on and climb in. I hear him growl and groan but stillgets no response from him. I wash my hair and when it came towashing my body Xander stops me and does it himself withoutclimbing in with me.

"Why?" I tilt my head to stare at him.

"Why what?" I ask as he gently pushes me back under the water to rinseoff.

"Why didn't you tell me?" I shrug and turn my back on him so hecouldn't read my face.

"It wouldn't have changed a thing, your brother still has a claim on meand I don't know who my son's father is. I got very sick and couldn't domuch the last time I was pregnant.” I tasted my salty tears as they randown my face.

"it's best to forget about there ever being an us Xander...I'm sorry.” Ihear the door slam as he exits the room, I shake the sadness off andclimb out and dress.

A few seconds later I'm out in the lounge room with my son.

"Can we go for a walk please mummy?" I agree and tell him to put hisshoes on as I grab mine and then we make our way to the door. I showhim the garden which he loves and then take him to the stables, I seemy old black stallion in his paddock.

"You see the big black horse?" I point and he nods his head.

"That's my horses, his name is Stratton.” Xaiden laughs, I whistle andwatch as my horse runs over to us. he sticks his head over my shoulderand rubs my face with his.

"Can I pay him please!" I pick up my baby and enjoy his laughter as thehorse rubs his head.

"Wanna take a ride later?" I ask him and Xaiden nods quickly. Strattonstops and looks left near the woods. he suddenly starts going off and Isniff the air.

"Rogue's." I growl at the thought of them coming near my son."Mummy what are they?" I look to where he points an see roguedemons walking towards us. on the other side are ten rogue wolves. Iknew we where out numbered so I Chuck Xaiden on my horse.

"Hold on okay and don't let go or look back I'll follow behind you." Ididn't give him a chance to reply as I told Stratton to run home and hedoes with my screaming baby on his back.

I stand there and wait until both groups are in front of me all with evilsmiles on there faces. So I smile sweetly at them all.

"why you here boys?" I ask nicely, I keep a close eye on the all

"We want you?" with that they all lunge at me at once. my last thoughtwas I hope my son got back okay or these fuckers will die painfully.
