Once Rejected My Alpha Stepbrother Wants Me Back Chapter 27

Chapter 27

Ashton’s POV.

I tuck my lower lip between my teeth as I trail down the hallway and the stairs. Damn, I felt the tightness of my muscles and I certainly know the reason it’s like that…

It’s because I’m hard; too hard that moving as I am now is difficult. I can’t even think straight, not after what just happened back in there.

, I didn’t know when I let loose and parch my hungry lips over Josie’s beating pulse. I swear, I almost marked her because then my wolf took over.

‘Mate tasted good. I want more. My wolf whined, beating its tail on the floor.

See? That’s how he made me lose control.

But I must admit, Josie tasted super good. Just like that night back in the old pack house. I only had a taste of her pulse as it beat against my lips, not her actual pussy, and goddess help me, I can only imagine how heady it’ll be sinking myself inside her, ramming to the hilt while she scrape my back with her nails…

‘Me too, just like that night. My wolf chimed in again, distorting my thoughts.

“Yeah, just like that night…wait why the heck am I even talking to you?‘ I suddenly snapped, rolling my eyes as he flipped his tongue at me.

‘Because I’m your other half, get it!‘ He rasped.

I quickly block him off so I can think straight but the boner between my legs makes it impossible.

Even as I passed by the female servants, I could feel their knowing gazes over my pants.

, Ashton, pull your shits together! I snap at myself but trust me, when a Male werewolf is hard, it’s hardly easy to cool off without or masturbating.

Hell, the only thing I could think of now was to try and lure Josie into my bed. We are mates, not like we’ll be breaking a rule if that happens.

I climbed down the grand steps in the center of the pack house, golden lights filled every nook and cranny. My palm perches on the rail as I hold it as Anchor while moving down.

I maneuver my way into the craft room underground. The room is specially made for my ranking wolves as the place where we have short meetings that have to do pack attacks. I had mind–linked Ben while I carried Josie upstairs to meet me here.

Hell, I thought he was going to take long before coming here because he told me he was at the local pack house, where members of the whole pack meet to drink and be merry.

That had made me relax and enjoy my time with my mate before his interruption came.

Barging into the craft room, ! glowered at Ben.

He bowed his head slightly

before looking up.

“Good evening, alpha.” He sent his greetings my way but I barely nodded, still seething for what he did.

The walls of the room were filled with computers and security cameras but all of them are shut down now.

Inching closer, I turn the swivel chair and bury my ass into it. Clasping my palms together, I rubbed them and leaned my chin on it.

“You know Logan, right?” I probe, holding his frosty gaze. Ben is the type of person who doesn’t say much with his mouth but rather actions. I’d say, his fists and legs tell more for him.

The smell of whiskey wafted in the air when he opened his mouth to speak.

“Yes, alpha.” He nodded. “He’s the rogue alpha that wrecks havoc in the city. He’s also a loan shark.”

Remembering what he just did makes my blood boil. Taking on that would have been better I have things to do. I’d rather Ben handle his shits.

“Correct!” I beamed. “I want out of the surface of the earth.”

Ben looked a bit confused as to why I’d want the rogue alpha gone. I bet he knew I never had. business to do with him.

“Why alpha?” He questioned, looking between me and his feet.

“He touched what’s mine.” I stand up, squaring my muscled shoulders.

Abruptly, Ben gazed at me. He gave me a knowing nod and whispered. “Consider it done, alpha.”

He turned to leave but I halted him with another question..

“And how about the pups tournament?”

“Preparations are still ongoing alpha. Pups from around the city are invited too. It’s going to be a great one.” He beamed at the words and I gave my nod.

I love just how he handled things with precision.

As I was about to relax into the swivel chair, I saw something fall from upstairs and thudded rashly on the ground.

My brows arched and I stood up to look over the window when I heard a yelp of pain.

Before I could even flip the window open, I saw someone running through the lawn.

” !” I cursed as a thought crossed my mind.

On a whim. I veered abruptly on my heels and dashed up the stairs that led out of the underground craft room.

I took down the hallway and up the stairs. Within seconds, I breezed into my room and found it

empty.

My eyes went to the window side and saw it open, the blinds there fluttering as the air it.

“She ran away,” I said as bitterness at her action crushed my heart.

Diego’s POV

It’s been three days since I took off from the city and came back to Double Moon pack after being away for five years.

The welcome I received was warm. The pack members had smiles on their faces, seeing me.

Unlike other packs in the city and other regions, ours is in the countryside without much technology infiltrating it.

Here, we still operate by old traditions. We don’t have modern doctors, but rather people we call healers, who received the power to heal directly from the moon goddess.

Everything we do is a direct instruction from the moon goddess. That’s why we are the first children of the moon goddess and are ruled by Enchanters, the only descendants of the goddess.

The pack pups still gather around the packed square to play under the moon, under the direct. watch of the elders.

Now that we had no ruler, some festivals had been stopped, only to begin when another alpha female start ruling.

Well, the hope for a ruler was still far–fetched because we didn’t know where the alpha female was hiding.

However, that was not the main reason I returned to the pack. I had an ulterior motive and that was to replace out why Lilly didn’t have much of our pack’s scent. Why she was in the city because something about her didn’t feel right..

I believe Lilly was out to play a dark game but all I wanted was to catch her right in the act.

“Diego, the children are set for the run.” The gamma of our pack paced towards me and announced.

That was right, I almost forgot today was the moon run and as the beta, I need to declare it open.

Turning to Gia, I nodded.

As he made to leave, I fell in tow with him.

In my full glory. I stood on the balcony of our large pack house and overlooked the with their parents.

I felt overwhelmed seeing everyone again but underneath, I missed seeing Aria. These kids. reminded me of her though.

Clearing my throat, I raised my hand. “Under the blessings of the moon, I beta of the Double Moon pack declare the moon run open!”

Everyone cheered and instantly pups crouched low as their wolves began to emerge.

In other packs though, only the elderly ones went for the moon run but here, only the little children of the goddess went for the moon run.

Wolves of different colors fell into my vision as they pounded on their fours and ran into the woods. In time, howls filled the air.

At that, I nodded and left in search of what I came here for….
