Once Rejected, Thrice Accepted -
Chapter 100
Where is she?" I shouted as we entered the hospital. It seemed like everyone was in a frenzy with nurses running from room to room and doctors dictating louder than normal as they scrambled their way down to the next patient's room. Something else must've happened but I didn't have time to worry about that. "Where is my sister?" I yelled louder as Cass did his best to help keep me standing.
"Relax, Gemma. There was a few squabbles between Alpha Chances warriors that he brought along and ours so they're a little behind. They would have rushed your sister right in." Cass pleaded doing his best to keep me calm. I guess he knew I was closer to the edge than I had let on.
"Gemma!" A female voice yelled out. I looked around in time to see Cherry from one of the back rooms waving her arms at us.
"Your sisters in here along with your dad."
I rushed back doing my best to avoid any pack members and causing us to fall. They were quicker than I was to move out of the way which I was thankful for. They kept apologizing, calling me Luna and it felt amazing but I couldn't really focus on giving them the same respect back when my mind was in frantic mode. Cass had kept my mind pretty busy on the journey here but now it was going ninety miles an hour. The smells, the white walls, and packed waiting room were sending repressed memories forward pushing me closer to a panic attack.
Cass made me sit in the chair beside my sister's bed and refused to leave the room unless I promised to stay seated.
He barely had time to leave the room before my Dad was all over me checking for any injuries or mental issues caused by a fall or concussion. Cass yelled in about my fatigue and slurred words on the way here.
Dad almost head bashed him as he stuck his head out the door quicker than I could even try to restrain him and start shouting for a doctor to come check out the Luna. I heard several people jump to attention and a doctor was inside the room within a few seconds. I rolled my eyes at the way he was acting but on the inside my heart I may feel horrible right now and passing out was going to be the best option but knowing that when I woke up the same people that were here with me now would still be with me. It wasn't out of obligation or cover-up. And that was the strangest, most wonderful feeling I have ever felt.
"Doc I'll be okay. We had to use more of our Alpha power than we ever had and it just wore me out." I was holding onto the chair sides to refrain myself from shoving him away from me. I can see the sweat glistening on his skin just from the nerves of working on the Luna. I apparently needed to spend more time with the people in this pack because I was not that type of Luna. My old Luna was the worst and she was horrible to a lot of the pack members. Her food had to be a certain way and she had strict policies on who she allowed where.
"Nothing seems to be wrong on the outside so I agree with the Luna's assessment Would you like a sleeping pill to help you?" He backed up and smiled down at me. "Your sister refused but I bet if you both agreed it would be better in the long run and everyone can stay with you."
I agreed and he had nurses send us up into a double bedded room with orders for a few more chairs and blankets. We all know at least two of my three mates would be sleeping in the room as long as I was in there. Along with friends and people we thought of his family.
In fact, all three of my mates were waiting in the room for us as soon as we got in there. They made sure to check on Britt but all of her wounds were healing nicely. They would heal a lot faster when she was asleep and she did agree to take the pill as long as I did. I did my best not to show my fear because I knew she needed me to be strong for her. I was just going to have to deal with those nightmares and non-handle it in front of her. We would sleep, I would fight off the monsters, and then when we finally got to go home I would crawl into my safe place and cry it out.
Once they were done checking on their little sister as they called her they were on me like white on rice. Duncan barely let the nurses in a word in when asking them questions about what happened and what I needed. I apologized to them and gave them time to rush off. Dad took a seat between both beds the same time that Draco, Alpha Chance, Ryder, and Olivia rushed in. Cass hushed them from the door so that we would let the sleeping pills work already.
"Brint lam so sorry." I reached my arm over from the bed they had put me in and she reached across her own to grab it. "I didn't know this is what Sabine was going to do. It sucked that it had to be like this and that no one knew anything about it. I feel confident in the ones that I have maturing even more and any new ones coming at me. I hate that you got hurt in the process and Betty too. Do you forgive me?"
"I am fine. It is all fine." She smiled sleepily. "Although can we ask her to make it a bit less convincing next time?" She laughed as her eyes closed.
My eyelids matched hers as Lucas slid in behind me. "You got it."
I smiled and all that was left was blackness. I could feel Moonlight and Cinder resting with me. Both of them getting stronger. We were so gonna kick some a*s in this war.
