Once Rejected, Thrice Accepted -
Chapter 109
"No f*****g way!" Shane yelled from their spots on the edge of the field with their backs to the forest. Way too trusting for me. "Shut up asshat." Lindy yelled giving Olivia more time to focus on the big burly man walking toward us.
"What is happening? Should we let them talk and we head over to deal with these four nut cases?" Tiberius asked as he paced beside Lindy. He was keeping awful close to her almost like his possessiveness had went nuclear. It didn't hit me until he sniffed her neck for the third time in a matter of minutes. "She has to get off the field. She can't shift with a pup growing inside her. Moonlight stated a bit upset that she was out there with us.
I knew what I had to do. I know Lindy would love to rip these girls a part after the crap we dealt with from them especially in high school but we just couldn't risk that.
"Get your pathetic asses over here so we can be down already. I have better things to do than deal with your ugly asses." Trinity yelled with a smirk. I had to imagine breaking her nose to keep from shifting and tearing her apart.
"Somebody shut that b***h up before I have to." Duncan yelled looking at me for our next move. I f*****g love that guy-
"Tiberius, take Lindy back home and keep her safe." I shook my head when she started to protest. "I know what is going on with you and we have to keep you all safe." I looked at her stomach and back up sat her.
"Fine but I better get all the details later."
"Deal."
Tiberius didn't give her anymore time. He picked her up and ran back toward the gate. He did link to tell me thank you.
His wolf was riding him pretty hard about being out there with her. I totally got it.
I turned back toward the four as Shane snarled jerking his arm out of Sashas. He was getting more and more pissed as Olivia talked to her second-chance mate. A few warriors were close by in case he tried anything but so far it was like a switch had been hit and he was super sweet instead of super scary.
"Meet us in the middle or f**k off. I have s**t to do and you have to bury your dead." I felt the shock from a few of the warriors with us from me speaking like that but they would get used to as I took on more responsibility as the luna. I didn't p**ky foot around if I didn't have to.
"They were useless rogues. No need to waste our time collecting them. They can rot." Shane stated looking smug.
We just needed distraction so you would end up meeting with us.
All of this yelling back and forth was getting on my last nerve. "Olivia, can we table the mate thing or should you two head back inside? I don't know how much longer I can be civil with these wolves."
Olivia gave her mate one last look and he nodded. "Let's kick some a*s. Oliver here has an opinion about wasting a wolf's life for nothing."
I shook my head. "They just wanted a way to belong. They died fighting to be wanted and respected. Even if it was against us it wasn't a waste. They had a dream and they went for it. In most ways Rogues end up better than the spoiled rotten members of a pack." Olivers head jerked to look at me. "You actually believe that don't you?" He sounded like he was shocked.
"I do, Alpha. We have much to discuss later." His mouth dropped open when I acknowledged his true power.
"Olivia, you are mine and no one else's. You will learn to be better and I won't have to put you in your place anymore.
Just come home." Shane yelled stomping his foot like a toddler.
Before anyone could yell anything back Eric finally decided to speak. "We will meet you in the middle." Short and to the point. Something had changed this guy.
Everyone took formation with Olivia and line the middle again. It wasn't worth the fight when I knew I would move to the front to have the actual conversation. Plus it was actually helping keep me in the moment when all my mind wanted to do was show me reruns of the beatings I had taken from each of them physically and mentally.
Eric started the conversation when we had reached our destination. "We have orders to take you, Olivia, and Lindy back to the pack." He stood there with his arms crossed against his chest.
"Dead or alive so don't do anything stupid or I will finally be able to end your pathetic life." Trinity laughed letting her wolves claws come out for show.
"Our Alpha says since you are luna of this pack you can step down along with your mates and he will take over this pack. He will take it as your first step toward making amends." Eric finished ignoring Trinity's added details.
Silence. That was all the response he got. I was in disbelief that Eric and my old alpha where delusional to think that would ever happen. He was just trying to scare us because he was scared we could kick his a*s. That felt pretty damn good but there had to be another reason why he sent them, specifically them, to have this chat with us.
"I call bullshit." Olivia laughed. "Your Alpha sent you both here hoping we would either be so pissed and jealous of your new chosen mates we would fight you without back up and you could kill us sending my new alphas into a rage."
I saw where he was going with this. "Or that we would see you and still feel the mate bond sending us into crying messes wanting you and accepting anything you say." My body shook in disgust.
"No f*****g chance of either." Olivia stated with me agreeing.
