One Amazing Trip To Garzon -
Chapter 6: The Battle
This was it. They were really going to go through with this plan. They all knew it would be difficult and could end terribly but it was something that had to be done.
“So when are we going to go through with this?” asked Jason, whose palms were starting to get sweaty.
“The building that we are going to is about two miles away from my house so it is going to be a pretty long walk so I think it will be best if we wait around until it is dark so that way it will be harder for anyone to notice that you guys aren’t from around here. If we go now then someone is probably going to notice and we do not want to have anyone interfering with our plan if it is going to be able to work as perfect as we need it to.”
“Isn’t there a small problem if we go at night though?” asked Tyler. “You said that the Lightning guns are powered by sun, so we would have to go in the daytime for them to work, right?”
“He told you earlier that the gun can use energy from the sun or through a well-lit room and if it is dark outside then I am pretty sure that the people in the building that we are after are going to make sure they have their lights turned on,” answered Jason. “You really need to start paying more attention.”
“That is correct, the place where we are going always has the lights turned on.” said Carlyle.
It would be another hour or so before it began to get dark so what they did before they left for the fight was get ready and make sure that everything was planned out correctly.
“So how do you use the gun?” asked Jason who was looking down at it trying to figure out how to use it.
“It is really quite simple, it’s basically just like a normal gun except for a few small differences. All that you are going to have to do is aim at your target, look through the laser pointer and pull the trigger. There is a little trick to it though. Since the gun is going to be powered by light it will take a second for it to charge. When you pull the trigger you will be able to feel the light entering through the gun and when there is enough light you will hear a small popping noise that the gun will make and that is when you know to release the trigger,” said Carlyle.
The time back in Illinois where the kids lived at was 10:00 p.m. and their parents realized that both of them were gone and started to worry. They knew that they had last seen their kids in the woods fishing so that is where they went first. The Greenwhite’s had been looking for their children for a few hours when they saw something.
“Hey I see a candy wrapper and an empty pop can,” said Tim when he realized where his kids had been. He was thinking back earlier when he was fishing with them just a few hours ago.
“Oh my gosh, do you think someone took them?” asked Jessica scared of the thought of losing their children.
“You haven’t seen them all day have you, because I remember I went to show that house earlier? Did they come inside at any point and mention anything to you honey?” asked Tim.
“No, I heard one of them walk inside and they most likely grabbed the pop and candy bars but left just as soon as they had come in. Whoever came inside was only in for a second and then headed back out the door without saying anything. I just figured it was one of the boys going back to fish or something,” said Jessica.
It was pitch black and they were out there with flashlights trying to replace any evidence of where their kids were at but they were having no luck at all. They continued looking until it was the next morning determined to replace some evidence but they didn’t have any luck.
That following day they searched back through the woods still looking for anything when they found the tunnel. Both of them ran through the snake and spider infested tunnel all the way through and got out on the other side where they found the plane that had crashed. Just as the boys assumed previously, Mr. and Mrs. Greenwhite had no idea that this wasn’t any ordinary airplane and that it was actually a spaceship.
“Hey look over there,” said Tim. “Maybe the boys saw or heard this plane crash while there were in the woods and there was someone who needed help or something.”
“They probably would have came back to the house and talked to me though, if they were trying to help someone they wouldn’t have gotten far without a car to drive or anything,” Jessica reminded him.
Neither one of them could see the portal that the kids saw earlier so the plane crash with no evidence of anyone ever being in it startled and confused both of them. They both went back inside to try and get some information on this mysterious plane crash, but of course it would be of no use as no one on Earth knew about it. It was a daily struggle and very hard to live with as the Greenwhites continued to look for their children day in and day out. Every day was horrifically sad looking in at the kids’ room and not seeing them there or at the table to eat at. Mr. Greenwhite couldn’t believe that he lost his kids on his birthday and wondered why something horrible like this had to happen to him and his wife.
Meanwhile back on the planet Garzon, the three were continuing to get prepared. While Jason and Tyler had no idea what was going on back home, in their minds they could imagine their parents looking for them in the woods even though it was night and they could imagine how sad it was for them not being able to replace them. They were hoping that if they did somehow make it home after all of this that their parents would be waiting for them and be very happy to see them back.
As they got their stuff ready they all three looked outside and noticed that it was starting to get dark.
“Alright, it looks like it is about time to get started with our mission so let’s get serious,” said Carlyle.
“One small problem to worry about, how will we hide the Lightning guns though?” asked Jason.
“I forgot to tell you, press the button on the side of it then it will shrink enough so where you will be able to fit it into your pocket, most of the things on this planet can become smaller to make it more convenient for traveling,” said Carlyle.
Jason and Tyler pressed the small button on their guns and sure enough the gun closed to the size of something close to a cell phone and they stuck it in their pockets out of sight.
“This place is crazy and full of surprises, it’s like a dream or something,” Jason whispered to Tyler.
The three of them stepped outside into the night sky. It was quite cooler than it had been earlier in the day as they realized that it was probably around fifty degrees or so, but the clothes they had, had kept them much warmer than any clothes you could get on Earth. As they looked up at the sky Jason and Tyler could tell that things looked differently here at night then they did back home. There appeared to be what looked like a moon except the one here was a uniquely different color and it was much larger. The stars made up different shapes and didn’t look like any constellations that they would see back on Earth. It was going to be a long walk to the CZSA as it was around two miles. Carlyle had estimated that it would take them approximately forty five minutes or so to get there. It would only stay dark here for about three hours, so they had to somewhat hurry up and not waste too much time.
The three continued walking for a couple minutes and occasionally would see somebody walking down the street next to them. Jason even saw somebody look at him strangely for a few seconds but the person continued walking without saying anything. They had now walked for almost a good mile or so when they ran into someone.
“Hello,” said a voice as he was staring into the eyes of Carlyle.
Carlyle looked at the person frightened by who could be talking to him. He was trying to figure out who it was and then he recognized him. The person just so happened to be his cousin Mirelki.
The two of them started talking in the Garzonian language so Jason and Tyler had no clue what it was they were talking about. After they were done communicating with each other, Mirelki looked at Jason and Tyler strangely, waved goodbye to them and headed off in the other direction.
“So who was that?” asked Jason.
“That was my cousin whose name is Mirelki,” said Carlyle.
“What did he say to you?” asked Tyler who was interested to replace out what the man said. “By the way, you guys really have some weird names here don’t you?”
“Well as you probably figured out we use the word hello to introduce ourselves just like you do so you guys probably understood that. He was asking what in the world I was doing with two people who weren’t from around here because he immediately noticed that you guys weren’t from this planet. I told him that it was too hard to explain and I would talk to him about it later. I was wondering why he was out this late and he told me he actually got a job up the CZSA and had just gotten off and was walking home because he can’t afford a jetpack yet.”
“It is a good thing that we didn’t go earlier then. We wouldn’t want to shoot your cousin,” said Jason.
“He works in a different location so it wouldn’t have been a problem though. There was something weird that he said to me. He told me that he could have sworn he saw my daughter being carried by someone at the CZSA, but he had to just have been imagining things or something. You’re not even supposed to take your own daughter there so the person he saw with a child probably wasn’t carrying one or could have been his own child. I have no idea why my daughter would be there anyway.”
Jason and Tyler found that to be a little interesting that even if his daughter wasn’t there, that the thought of his daughter still being alive seemed to bring a slight smile to Carlyle’s face and gave him hope that maybe one day he could replace his family.
They continued walking until they were now just a block or so away. Jason and Tyler were so nervous and filled with anticipation. Jason felt as if he was going to throw up. He had never been so nervous in his life, in fact his whole body was starting to shake.
“I can’t believe we’re almost here,” said Carlyle. “It brings back some memories, some good and then of course some bad ones too. Remember what I said, stealth will be the key to this mission being successful.”
They now approached the building, it looked larger than a prison and kind of reminded Jason and Tyler of one.
Jason and Tyler followed behind Carlyle as he was the only one who knew where to go. They were now in the parking lot and instead of cars filling up the space, there were small jetpacks that didn’t really leave them any space in case they would have to hide from somebody.
“Alright, everyone get low to the ground,” said Carlyle. “The place we need to go is just right over there.”
They walked slowly and were crouching lowly as they were walking along a brick wall. They began to see some light shining out of the building where they would have to end up going. They couldn’t really see what was inside the building since they were up against the wall, but they could see light shining out of it, and it made them all extremely nervous.
Jason felt as if he were James Bond, or felt like he was in one of the video games that he used to play where you had to be extremely careful not to let anyone see you. The only problem was this wasn’t a video game or a movie so if someone happened to see him it could cost him his life.
They were all huddled against the wall single file ready for action. They knew that this was going to have to be done with them making as little nose as possible. Carlyle was in front followed by Jason and Tyler. Straight around the corner was the part of the building that contained the spaceship that looked like a plane. There were two floors with several people occupying those spots. The spaceship was basically in a large open area in the middle of the room. The first floor where the spaceship was located at was just a large, open space. It was a little smaller than a football field and if it were one the spaceship would be on the fifty yard line with nothing around it. On the second floor were plenty of offices that were occupied by the workers. The offices were glass and as Jason took a peak around the corner and into the room he saw everything.
He went back behind Carlyle quickly to make sure no one had seen him. “So how are we going to be able to hit anyone, besides a few people walking around the spaceship, most of the people are behind glass in what looks to be tiny offices?” asked Jason.
“Don’t worry about the glass because the Lightning gun will be able to go through the glass without making a noise. The only disadvantage is that the laser pointer gets distracted when it hits glass so it will make it tougher to hit them so just be careful,” Carlyle whispered. “Jason, why don’t you go behind that small building right over there, as he pointed to what looked like a garage where they stored supplies, so that you can get a good aim and we can hit them from different angles.”
“What should I do then?” asked Tyler.
“You get over there behind your brother and be his lookout and make sure that everything goes correctly and if he gets in trouble then you have permission to fire, but just if he needs your help,” said Carlyle. “Too many shots at once could get their attention easily.”
“Tyler has always been a better shot than me, whispered Jason. He should shoot and I will be the lookout.”
“Alright then, go on you two, and be careful.”
So the two of them snuck around the long way to the large garage and now were at the edge of it where they would be able to peek their heads out and see everything. They noticed that while it was light inside the building it was still pretty dark outside and it would give them a little advantage. Carlyle had handed them something that looked like a walkie-talkie except it was quite small and only lit up whenever someone pushed the button on it. Right now they were waiting for the button which was red at the moment to turn green indicating Carlyle was giving them the heads-up to get started. Both of them were staring at the little walkie-talkie like device for a few seconds and finally they saw it turn green. It was either now or never.
Carlyle was the first to make a move as he pointed at a target that was standing alone in the corner of a room so no one else would see him get shot. He aimed up and fired at him. Jason and Tyler who were peaking around the corner of the garage saw the man get shot and couldn’t believe it. Tyler’s heart was pounding very fast as he aimed looking for a shot. He found the perfect target, another person that was alone. Tyler aimed up the laser, pointed straight for the man’s chest and pulled down on the trigger with his hand shaking a little, waited until he heard the popping nose Carlyle was talking about and then he let go of the trigger. He looked at the person he had just hit and noticed that he was standing still, lifeless and not able to move. If another person did happen to see him it would look as if he was standing still. Tyler couldn’t believe that he had just done that. Carlyle began to take down all the people up in the office like he said he would since that would be pretty hard. He went from office to office pointing and firing hitting everyone effortlessly. It was really amazing as Jason and Tyler watched him work. There seemed to be more than seven people which Carlyle had first projected but he continued hitting the workers with ease.
“Hey get that guy quickly!” said Jason as he pointed to a guy who was starting to walk up to one of the people who had already been shot on the top floor. “Hurry up before he notices something is wrong. I guess Carlyle must have not noticed him.”
The guy was just beginning to open the other guy’s door when Tyler spotted him with his laser.
Tyler aimed and fired hoping for the best because since he was shooting through the glass it was hard to aim. He pulled the trigger and was successful as they saw him get hit by the light and stunned just as he began to notice the other person.
Tyler and Carlyle had now successfully knocked out everyone on the top floor which consisted of eight people. The one problem was there was a group of people standing right in front of the spaceship. There were six of them and as soon as one got shot the others would notice. Jason and Tyler decided to sneak back over to where Carlyle was behind the wall after they noticed him not making a move for about a minute.
“We have to think of something quick,” said Carlyle. “In about fourteen to fifteen minutes that first guy is going to be conscious again.”
Jason was tired of waiting and he felt like he hadn’t done anything to help yet. So without thinking or talking about a plan he took off around the corner. He felt it was his time now and he was ready to step up to the plate. He stared at the group of six men and was prepared to go crazy.
He stopped about 100 feet from them and successfully hit two of the six that were standing up. Carlyle and Tyler were looking around the corner of the building wondering just what Jason was doing.
“What in the world is he trying to do, get himself killed?” asked Carlyle who was very concerned.
“I have no idea, we better try and help him out or this could get ugly,” answered Tyler.
Jason was now running towards the four and shooting at them. They all were prepared now that they saw him running after them and it was hard for him to get a good shot on them.
Carlyle successfully took out two more people as they were trying to run away, probably to grab their own Lightning gun. One more started to run away and then everyone had lost sight of where he had gone. There was still one more though that stood there as Jason ran towards him. Jason was shooting as he got closer but this guy wasn’t as tall as the others and was also quite skinnier so it was hard for him to connect. He continued firing as he ran after him but this guy reminded Jason of the guy from the Matrix as he just narrowly got away from all of his shots. Jason ran full speed at him and now he was right up to this guy, he knew that he made a mistake.
Jason was almost face to face with him and as soon as he had his shot charged up and ready to shoot, the guy was standing in front of him took a step up and nailed his gun out of his hands sending it flying away from him. Jason panicked and didn’t know what to do, he wanted to get the gun but it wasn’t going to be easy.
As for Carlyle and Tyler they didn’t have a good shot on the guy next to Jason, because if they would have fired at him there would be a good chance that it would have hit Jason instead.
“Whirl, whirl, whirl, whirl, whirl.” That was the sound of some alarm going off and before Carlyle and Tyler knew what was going on the large door that sealed off the room with the spaceship in it immediately closed. Jason looked around and immediately knew that he was now alone with this guy and with the Lightning gun twenty feet from the both of them.
“Hurry up,” said Carlyle, I know another way into the building but we have to go quickly or else it might be too late for your brother Jason.”
While they tried to get through a different way, Jason was stuck all alone with this guy. The worker pushed Jason pretty hard and Jason pushed him right back but it didn’t really move him much. They pushed each other around for a minute just not letting go of one another making sure that the other couldn’t reach the gun. Jason was holding onto the worker preventing him from being able to reach it but the guy got one of this hands free and punched Jason in the face which was surely to leave a black eye. The worker then pushed him down as Jason was stunned from the punch he started off towards the gun. Jason was lying down on the cold concrete not being able to do anything but watch as the worker headed towards the Lightning gun. All that he could hope for now was a miracle.
Meanwhile outside Carlyle and Tyler ran as fast as they could up a ladder on the side of the building that led to the second floor. They raced up the ladder and headed onto the floor. The worker that escaped earlier was now in front of the both of them and fired a shot towards them. The shot fired just above Tyler’s head and barely missed him. He probably wasn’t used to firing at a target as short as Tyler. Carlyle then quickly fired back at the worker and was able to stun him. They then went around the stunned body and sprinted all the way down the hall that led to the room with the spaceship inside. They noticed Jason on the ground and they quickly shot the worker that was fighting with Jason and he was stunned without seeing where the shot had come from. Carlyle and Tyler were on the second floor about ten feet off the ground but they jumped down to the first floor where Jason was anyway. It hurt Tyler landing from that high up but he didn’t really care at this point.
They both went to Jason to see if he was alright.
“Jason! Jason! Are you okay? Please say something to us,” said Tyler afraid of what had happened.
Carlyle knew exactly what had happened to him and was very worried about him.
Carlyle looked at him closely and could tell that he had been shot by the Lightning gun more than once, he then ran to where the gun that had shot Jason was lying and recognized that Jason had been shot eight times.
“Tyler, I hate to say this, but your brother has been shot multiple times and it doesn’t look good, in fact he was shot eight times.”
“How do you know? Maybe he was only shot once or something,” said Tyler. “He has to be fine, I don’t want to go without him. Please don’t say what I think you are about to.”
“On the side of the Lightning gun it shows the number of how many times you have shot it and the number on this gun that he was shot with reads eight,” said Carlyle. “You pick your brother up and carry him while I get this spaceship up and running so we can get out of here. We have to hurry up because in a couple minutes some people are going to be conscious again.”
Tyler didn’t think that he was strong enough to pick his brother up but right now he was as mad as he had ever been and he picked him up and carried him towards the spaceship with a tear running down his face. He got to the spaceship that looked just like a plane. In fact it looked similar to the one that had crashed in their backyard and he sat Jason down across a row of seats.
“We are almost ready to get out of here and head to your home,” said Carlyle.
As soon as they were about to head off they heard a loud voice that appeared to be laughing. Tyler looked up and recognized that it had to have been Captain Zirg.
Captain Zirg said something to Carlyle in Garzonian and Carlyle said something to him back but Tyler wasn’t able to understand what was being said between the two and right now at this moment he didn’t really care. The only thing he cared about was his brother.
“Alright let’s get out of here,” said Carlyle.
Captain Zirg angry and upset shot at the spaceship multiple times and tried aiming it at Carlyle but missed him and hit the side of the ship with every shot.
There was no other way out of the building besides the front hanger door that was blocked off so Carlyle revved up the plane’s engine and quickly took off busting through the large hanger door like it was made of plastic.
They were now up in the air and were on their way home. Tyler looked out one of the windows and could see the broken door that they busted through. He could also see some people walking around the building, although from how high up they were they appeared to look like ants even though they were seven feet tall. He reckoned that some of them were starting to regain their consciousness which is what he was hoping his brother would get back. He imagined them looking around the building and trying to figure out what had just happened wondering why their spaceship was gone and why the large front door had been smashed to pieces. He could also see several people on jetpacks just outside his window, never had he been in a plane before so it was weird being so high up. It was also weird to look out the window and see all the people that were on jetpacks He imagined that they were trying to replace out just what had happened and why a spaceship was passing by them. As they flew higher the people on jetpacks appeared smaller and smaller.
“I didn’t want to mention it to you when we were back there, but I have some really bad news to tell you,” said Carlyle.
