Chapter 111

Stella liked Alfred a lot and was more than happy to make a suit for him. They went to the display room,

and Stella took his measurements.

Brian arrived, entering through the front door with Mike, Mike asked Xenia, “Where’s Ms. Yates?”

“Ms. Yates is in the display room with a customer, Xenia replied. Seeing how handsome Brian was, she couldn’t help but ask Mike, “What’s the relationship between your boss and Ms. Yates? It seems like he

comes here to see her quite often.”

Stella’s marriage was a secret, and the employees didn’t know she was married.

“No comment.” Mike maintained a poker face, refusing to disclose anything.

Brian went to the display room. As soon as he entered, he saw Stella taking measurements for Alfred.

They were bathed in soft light, and she looked beautifu

“Grandpa, let me choose some high–quality fabric for you. How about a gold–embroidered maroon set? It would look imposing and you can wear it during your birthday celebration. What do you think?” Stella suggested to Alfred.

Alfred nodded. “Price is not an issue, Stella. Pick the most expensive one.”

“No need, Grandpa. This is a gift from me. She smiled warmly.

Alfred had noticed Brian and remarked, “Why should you give me a gift? You don’t have any money. Just use my card. It’s Brian’s money anyway. No need to be stingy with him.”

“You don’t have to, Grandpa. This is a gift…” Stella insisted.

“Use the card,” Brian suddenly interjected.

Stella was shocked and turned to see him standing at the door, elegantly dressed in a trench coat.

“You give the gift, and I’ll handle the bill,” he said, taking out a black card and handing it to Mike for payment.

Stella followed him out of the display room, holding the card. “Really?”

“Yes.” Brian glanced at her and said, “It’s not expensive anyway.”

Stella felt a bit conflicted hearing this. He made a fuss over the price of a handbag, but when it came to making a suit for Alfred, he said it wasn’t expensive. It seemed he was only stingy with her.

The more she thought about it, the more annoyed she felt. She decided to charge 15 thousand dollars for the 10 thousand dollar suit.

However, in the end, she only charged 10 thousand dollars. After all, this was a gift for Alfred. She didn’t want to overcharge and cheat him.

After completing the payment, Stella handed the receipt back to Brian. “Pleasure doing business with you,

Chap

Mr. Foley.”

Why was she acting so cold again? Brian glanced at her, sensing that she seemed unhappy.

Back at Yolvencrest Estate, Stella and Brian welcomed Alfred in. After dinner, Brian took Alfred for a walk.

Stella went upstairs to take a shower. Afterward, she went to the guest bedroom to work on her designs.

Brian suddenly knocked on her door.

Stella put down her pen and opened the door. “What do you want?”

‘Grandpa wants you to come downstairs,” Brian informed dryly.

“What for?” Stella asked.

Brian gave her a look. “What happened this afternoon?

“It’s Jessica. She came to the studio to return a dress and got scolded by Grandpa. She claimed her child belongs to you. Grandpa didn’t believe her and said he would do a paternity test after the baby is born.” Stella observed Brian, curious about his reaction.

Brian had never mentioned the child before. Was this child an accident or a result of love? Stella still couldn’t figure it out.
