Chapter 150

When Stella opened the door, she was met with a chaotic scene. The entire studio had been ransacked.

Stunned, she asked Xenia, “Xenia, what’s going on? Was the studio robbed last night?”

“I don’t know. I just got here, too,” Xenia said, looking puzzled.

Stella asked, “Where’s Alice? Has she come to work yet?”

“Not yet”

“It’s already past 9:00 am.” Stella felt a sense of foreboding. She instructed Xenia, “Go to the storeroom and check if the new batch of clothes is still there.”

Xenia hurried to the storeroom. Meanwhile, Stella rushed upstairs to replace her office in disarray, with her laptop smashed.

Her face turned pale as she bent down to look for the design drafts. The drawer’s lock was broken, and all

the drafts were gone.

Stella was shaken. At that moment, Xenia ran upstairs. She said anxiously. “Ms. Yates, the new batch of

clothes is gone.”

Stella felt like she had been struck by lightning. ‘Call the police, now!”

Xenia quickly called the police. In the meantime, Stella went downstairs to check the surveillance video,

The footage showed that at 2:30 am, Alice had brought people into the studio, taken the clothes, and

smashed Stella’s laptop.

Xenia said, “The clothes are gone, the laptop is smashed, and the drafts are missing. She was targeting

our new designs.”

Stella’s face was ashen. This realization made her feel like her blood was being drained out of her body.

Why would Alice do this and leave her in such a desperate situation?

At this moment, Xenia’s phone rang. She answered, and after a few words, she turned to Stella. “Ms. Yates, Mr. Perkins is looking for you. He said he couldn’t reach you on your phone.

‘I’ll take it. Stella took the phone. “Mr. Perkins.”

“It’s 9:30 am there, right? Have you set out for Nas Group yet?” Yoel was calling from Mavonia,

Hearing his voice, Stella closed her eyes and said slowly, “Mr. Perkins, my company was robbed last night. An employee stole our new designs and the drafts.”

Yoel frowned. “What happened?”

“I don’t know. We’ll have to wait for the police. Mr. Perkins, can we postpone today’s launch event?”

Yoel was silent for a moment. “We’ve already notified all the major investors and reporters. Canceling

now would be very difficult.”

“I understand. Stella’s heart ached. If the clothes weren’t stolen, she would have already headed there.

But crying wouldn’t solve anything. She had to handle the problem.

Yoel said, “I’ll try to delay it for a few days, okay? How about three days?”

“That will work.” Stella knew this was the final deadline and was immensely grateful. “Thank you”

“No problem.”

The police arrived quickly. After reviewing the surveillance video and confirming Alice as the culprit, they told Stella they would contact her once they located Alice.

Stella wasn’t reassured. She followed them to the police station, determined to wait for results there.

The police tracked Alice’s phone and informed Stella, This morning at 8:00 am, her phone was located in Tuzania, and then it went off the grid.

Stella was shocked. “So, it’s going to be hard to replace her?”

The police nodded. “Yes, she likely switched her phone number after leaving the country, so we lost the signal.”

Stella sat in the chair, dumbfounded. Who could have bought Alice off?

The plan was so well–orchestrated. She stole the drafts and then disappeared overseas immediately.
