Just then, the door opened. Stella looked over. Brian walked inside, a few raindrops falling on his

shoulders.

“It’s raining, so I asked them to head home first.”

Stella was stunned. “What about you?”

“It’s raining, so I’ll stay here,” Brian said matter–of–factly.

Stella thought it wasn’t a good idea to drive him away. She whispered, “Do you have a change of clothes?”

“They’re in my car.” Brian always had extra clothes in his car. “I’ll go get them.

“Wait!” Stella called out to stop him. “I seem to have an umbrella here. Let me replace it for you.”

Upon hearing her words, Brian frowned, thinking that she wanted to drive him out. Stella found an umbrella at the entrance of the home and brought it to him. “Here’s your umbrella.”

Brian looked at her coldly. “Are you so eager to drive me away?”

“Of course not!” His words stunned Stella. She explained, “I’m giving you an umbrella so that you can get your clothes without getting wet.”

So, that was what was going on. Brian relaxed his frown and held the transparent umbrella to bring his

clothes in.

As Stella stood at the door, she noticed that the rain had become heavier. It was going to be rainy tonight.

It was probably good that he’d be here with her. If she were alone in this place in such weather, she

wouldn’t be able to sleep.

When Stella took him to the second floor, she encountered a dilemma. When she bought the furniture, the

owner of the store only gave her a set of bedding. Therefore, she didn’t have any new bedding sets to use

for the beds in the other rooms

She scratched her head and looked at him. “It seems that there’s only one set of bedding here. The beds

in the other rooms don’t have them.”

“Then, I’ll sleep with you as you wish.”

As I wish? I’m not inviting you to sleep together in my room.”

“It’s winter. Do you really want me to sleep on the sofa without a blanket?”

Stella was speechless. That wasn’t a good idea. When she met his expectant gaze, she relented. She said,

“All right. You can sleep with me tonight.”

Her answer satisfied Brian. He helped her lay out the bedding and asked casually, “Do you have any

clothes?”

“Yeah.” Stella opened the closet. It was filled with clothes.

Brian was stunned. He frowned. “When did you prepare all this?”

Could she have been preparing this in secret? Had she been so eager to return to Tarovian Terrace? She had even prepared her clothes in advance

Stella walked inside and explained. “These are my old clothes.”

These were all clothes she didn’t wear. She said, “You always have people bring so many clothes to Volvencrest Estate every season.

“There isn’t enough room in the closet, so I have no choice but to pick out some old clothes every season.

and leave them here.”

She was using the closet in Tarovian Terrace as a warehouse. Brian looked at them and said, “Why didn’t you tell me that the closet there is small?

7 didn’t dare to do so. Stella always looked up to him back then. She would be overjoyed to see him return home. She didn’t want to annoy him by bringing this up.

“I’m surprised that you’re still reluctant to bring up demands about the closet when you had the guts to call me an incompetent pervert” Brian quipped.

Stella’s face turned warm. She explained softly, “I was drunk! That was just the booze talking”

“The booze? Or are you implying that you were just pretending to be docile before?” Brian moved closer

to her.
