Our Journey Back To Love -
Chapter 77
Chapter 77
Stella was the first to arrive at Ventis’a Eatery at 7:00 pm. Then, Yelena arrived soon after her, and they
met at the entrance. Yelena grabbed Stella’s hand right after she got out of her car. “Did you and Brian get
a divorce today?” She was worried about Stella after the latter told her about it on WhatsApp.
“We’ve applied for it. But it’ll only be effective a month later,” Stella said with a smile..
Yelena looked at her and asked, “Are you upset, Stellie?
“No, I’m not. Like I’ve said, I’ve always wanted this. Now, I’m finally free.” She didn’t look upset with a
smile,
Yelena continued staring at Stella for a while. Then, she said with a light tone as if she wanted to comfort her friend. “That’s great. Congratulations on regaining your freedom, Stellie!”
Stella answered with a hum and lowered her gaze. No one could see the sadness in her eyes. She told herself to stop thinking about it and how things were perfect at that moment.
Suddenly, a Rolls–Royce Ghost stopped in front of them. Yelena looked over at it and saw a man inside. The man was sitting upright with the gentle Jessica next to him. Then, she said to Stella with a cold face.
It’s Brian and Jessica.”
The latter’s heart fell. She saw Mike alighting the car and walking to the backseat to open the door, Briant got out of the car, looking noble and aloof in his black striped shirt. His face looked incredibly solemn.
Stella suddenly tensed up. The shirt he was wearing was the one he told her to look for. She wondered why he would still wear the anniversary gift she gave her after they had gotten their divorce.
As Stella was still in a daze, Jessica got out of the car as well in her long white dress. She grabbed Brian’s arm and said to Stella with a smile, “What are you doing here, Stella?”
“We’re here to eat, of course! Yelena answered her question. “She just got a divorce from a bastard. So,
we came here to celebrate!
Brian didn’t react at all when he heard that, and he looked extremely cold.
When Mike saw Stella, he politely greeted her, “Mrs. Foley.”
Jessica looked upset, but she still gently said to Brian, “Brian, Mr. Lewis is already inside. Let’s head in.”
They were there to talk business that day. It was no wonder why Brian would dress so formerly at that moment. He didn’t look as weak as he did that morning.
Stella looked at his leg and wondered if he had removed the braces. She looked at how he walked as he went past her. His posture was fine, and he looked normal. So, she figured he was almost fully recovered.
When they were gone, Yelena asked, “What’s wrong? Are you regretting your decision?”
Stella retracted her gaze. “No, I’m not.”
“Drop the act. I’ve known you for so long, and I can tell that you’re unhappy right away. If you really can’t
bear to leave him, Stella, you should get him back. We should love all we want and not be a coward.”
Stella shook her head. “Forget it.” If she really tried to get him back, her father wouldn’t be able to get out. All she wanted now was for her father to come out so that they could reunite again.
The two of them entered room 207. After a while, Xenia and Anne arrived as well. “We’re not late, are we?”
the two assistants asked.
Stella looked at the time. “No, it’s only 7:50 pm now. Since our reservation is at eight, we’re still early.”
“Is Mr. Perkins here yet?” The two assistants blushed. When they last saw Yoel at the studio last time, they both fell in love with his dashing looks.
Stella shook her head. “Not yet.”
After that, they started ordering some dishes. Then, she sent Yoel a message on her phone: “I’ve let my employees order first.”
