Our Journey Back To Love -
Chapter 80
but Brian
Chapter 80
After saying that, he dumped Charles, who was heavily injured, at Mike’s feet. “I’ll leave him to you.”
“Understood,” the latter answered.
Then, Brian helped Stella up, and she was in a daze for a moment. She weakly laid in his embrace as she turned her head back to look behind her. Mike brought two bodyguards, and they started beating up Charles.
Meanwhile, Jessica stood under a light, and her gaze was cold. Suddenly, Stella remembered something with the little amount of sanity she had left at that moment. The waiter earlier told her that the wine was given by Jessica. She wondered if Jessica was luring her into a trap.
“Stop looking. It’s gruesome, and you wouldn’t want to have nightmares tonight.” Brian turned Stella’s head back and prevented her from watching the scene further. She retracted her gaze and glanced at him in a daze–It felt like it was her first time meeting him.
She didn’t expect him to have such an arrogant side. It finally made sense to her why Simon
i would say that Brian was the only one who could protect her. With how perverse he acted, very few people in Sendoville would dare to mess with him.
“Brian.” When Jessica saw that he was leaving with Stella in his arms, she caught up to him. Seeing the state Stella was in, she didn’t want them to be alone together.
Brian turned his head and coldly looked at Jessica from the hallway. Then, he instructed her agent, “Send
her back.”
“Understood.” Jessica’s agent, Anna Oswell, didn’t dare to disobey him.
Brian left Ventia’s Eatery with Stella stijl in his arms and got into his car. After firing up his car, he drove past Yoel’s Bentley. Yoel kept his gaze on the road and didn’t notice Stella was sitting next to Brian.
Meanwhile, Brian pretended that he didn’t see Yoel. Instead, he sensed that Stella’s body temperature felt off, and he asked her. “Were you drugged?”
“Yeah.” She nodded and leaned against the window as her face blushed bright red.
“How do you feel now? Hot? Weak?” he asked about her condition.
Stella thought about it. “Weak.” That was all she felt.
“The drug hasn’t taken effect yet. I’ll ask Joseph to bring us some medicine.” Then, he called Joseph and told the latter to meet them at Yolvencrest Estate. Stella felt extremely uncomfortable and couldn’t say a word. So, she just continued leaning against the window and endured it.
Jessica looked extremely gloomy while she was dragged into the car by Anna. “It was going so well. I can’t believe she actually saw Brian. That useless Charles!” She threw the bag in her hand on the car seat.
As Anna drove, she shot Jessica a glance and said, “Since they’ve already gotten a divorce, why are your
still messing with her?”
Jessica coldly said, “You didn’t see how Brian reacted. When she appeared, all of his attention went to her. I can’t be at ease unless she’s tainted by someone else.”
“You should focus on how to handle Charles for now. Mr. Foley isn’t dumb. Once he replaces out about this, he’ll definitely come for you.”
Jessica gritted her teeth, and she started having a cold sweat. “I didn’t do anything. I only told Charles that Stella and Brian got a divorce.”
Anna sighed. “I’m begging you to stop messing with her. We want fame and benefits from being with Mr. Foley. He invested so much in the Xenos family because he wanted you to give birth smoothly. Don’t you understand? The only thing he wants is the child in you now.”
Jessica continued gritting her teeth as she said, “I’ve loved him for years. I’m not going to give up and not do my best.
Other than that, her mother also kept telling her to hold onto Brian. She finally found the opportunity to do so after waiting for so many years, so there was no way she would give up that easily.
