Our Journey Back To Love -
Chapter 87
Chapter 87
Stella would rather rescue Simon and stay away from all this drama to live a peaceful life from now on.
As she walked to the stairs, she suddenly remembered something. She grabbed the bill, made some modifications, and handed it to Xenia.
Xenia took the bill to Bernard. “Hi, Mr. Roach, the suit you ordered amounts to 7,600 dollars.”
She deliberately charged him an extra 600 dollars as a nuisance fee. He had to pay for being annoying.
Bemard looked up at Stella.
She was walking upstairs. Her slender figure left much to the imagination.
Bernard chuckled, replaceing her interesting.
Even at this point, Stella still had the mood to do business. Her resilience was greater than he had imagined.
Bernard swiped his card and said to Xenia. “Let me know when the suit is ready. I need to come and try
them on.”
“Alright. Goodbye, Mr. Roach. Xenia smiled as she sent him off.
Bernard grunted and walked away with long strides.
In the evening. Stella returned to the Yate residence.
She retrieved the gifts that Brian had thrown away earlier. She couldn’t afford them herself, so she might
as well take them.
Lyla and Chris‘ family were waiting at the door. When they noticed Brian hadn’t come with her, disappointment flashed across their faces.
“Stella, didn’t Brian come with you? Her cousin, Blair Yates, went from wearing a look of joy to one of
disappointment.
“He had something to take care of and couldn’t make it,” Stella said as she handed the gifts to a maid.
They were all extremely precious health supplements.
Chris‘ wife, Claudia Miller, glanced at them and smiled contentedly
“Why didn’t you say so earlier? I was thinking of asking Brian to arrange for me to work as a department head in Foley Group.” Blair sighed.
Stella replied calmly. “There’s no point in asking him. He won’t do you such a favor. He judges people. based solely on capability. You’ve only been interning for a year. He won’t give you the position of department head.”
Her words were straightforward–it wasn’t going to happen.
“I think it’s because you don’t want to help me.” Blair looked displeased.
“Okay, enough of that. Let’s eat,” Claudia said, smiling as she took Stella’s hand and led her to the d
room.
The family sat down at the dining table.

Stella ate slowly. She wanted to wait until everyone finished eating before announcing her divorce from
Brian.
However, Claudia spoke first. “Stella, there was something I wanted to discuss with Brian, but since he’s
not here, we’ll have to talk to you.”
“Go ahead, Aunt Claudia.”
“It’s about your dad’s company. It was heavily in debt before, right? Recently, a creditor asked us to repay 300 thousand dollars in advance. We don’t have it, so we thought we’d ask Brian.”
Stella’s actions halted for a moment. “Yates Group can’t even come up with 300 thousand dollars?”
“Yes,” Claudia said worriedly. “Its profitability has been declining, and with so much debt, I don’t know how long it can last. If it can’t hold out, we’ll have to liquidate it.”
Liquidation meant bankruptcy. If that happened, Simon’s lifelong efforts would be in vain.
Stella looked at Chris.
“Stella, the company is your dad’s life’s work. You’re doing well now, so you should help the company.”
Chris said.
Stella fell silent for a moment before responding. “I’ll think of a solution
She didn’t bring up her divorce from Brian for the time being. With creditors pressing for repayment, she
needed to address this issue first.
If only she had accepted Bernard’s 500–thousand–dollar check earlier. She regretted being so stubborn.
Now, she had to figure out a way to raise money.
The money was owed by Simon’s company. Even if Yates Group declared bankruptcy, this debt had to be
repaid..
After leaving the Yate residence, Stella pondered for a moment before taking a cab to Yolvencrest Estate.
She wanted to go back and pack her things to see if there was anything she could sell to raise some money to repay the debt.
Unfortunately, Brian was at home.
