After all was said and done, Zachary was the heir of Estrada Group. Although he no longer stayed in Olkfield, the Estrada family had always been worried about his marriage and thus had arranged numerous blind dates for him.

This time around, his mother seemed to have found a perfect match for him. The two mothers had happily decided on the blind date between Zachary and Yasmin.

On the day of the blind date, Yasmin “unfortunately” encountered a traffic jam on her way to the venue. Her mother forced her to set out early in order to get there on time. She did, but she decided to take a bus to get there. The buses in Ariosa were notorious for getting stuck in traffic jams. If she arrived late for her date, it wouldn’t be her fault. Moreover, the man might get turned off by her tardiness, which would definitely leave a bad impression. She had only promised her mother that she would go, not when she would go, so her mother couldn’t say anything.

Ultimately, Yasmin was more than thirty minutes late for the blind date. Yasmin calmly found the appointed table, as instructed by her mother.

At the sight of the empty table, an uncontrollable giggle escaped her lips. Maybe the man got tired of waiting for her, or maybe he did not come at all. She was about to take her leave when her eyes landed on the scene of a man and a woman arguing not far away.

The man was tall and handsome, and the woman was quite striking, too, with her loose, wavy hair and large, doe-like eyes standing out on her fair face. At that moment, the woman was tugging on the man’s sleeve, a beseeching expression on her beautiful face. “Zachary, why did you break up with me? What did I do wrong? Tell me what it is, and I’ll definitely change it, okay?” The steady stream of tears from her large, luminous eyes made her look heartbreakingly beautiful.

Zachary helplessly stared at the woman before him, not knowing what to do. They had met each other at one of the blind dates his parents had arranged, and the woman’s pure, gentle nature appealed to him. He planned to start a relationship with her and use her as an excuse to avoid future blind dates.

It took Zachary half a month to realize just how clingy and possessive the woman was. As his girlfriend, she logged into his social media accounts from time to time to snoop into his online presence, which annoyed him to no end. Finally, he broke up with her the week before.

He thought he had one less trouble without the woman, but he did not think she would gatecrash his date and catch him. Today, he was carrying out his mother’s orders—that was, to meet up with the daughter of the mayor of Olkfield. His mother had been most insistent on his attendance for this particular blind date. To him, it seemed like his mother was dead set on having the woman as her daughter-in-law because Juliet told him in no uncertain terms that this would be his last blind date. Then, she proceeded to tell him that she would strike him off the family register and never allow him to call him his mother ever again if he failed to make it on time.

Zachary might be a wayward,

dissolute character, but never let it be said that he had a poor relationship with his parents. He didn’t want to hurt his family because of such trifles. Therefore, he appeared at the restaurant on time for his appointment. He wasn’t expecting his date to stand him up, which gave him a plausible reason to reject his mother’s wish to set him up with her friend’s daughter.

Then, just as he was about to leave, his ex-girlfriend came out of nowhere and started begging him not to break up with her. He started blaming all of his unwise decisions, which led him into this predicament.

Any kind of treatment, ranging from explanations to indifference, was lost on the woman. Finally, Zachary deliver the killing blow.

“Actually, I like men,” Zachary revealed, cool as a cucumber, as he stared down his ex who was clutching at his sleeve.

The woman’s grasp fell as she stared up at him, stunned. Finally, she murmured, “I see. I knew you wouldn’t dump someone like me for no good reason.”

Zachary had introduced himself as an ordinary office employee of a well-known company who had a monthly salary of more than ten thousand dollars, his own house, and a car. His specifications looked good on paper, but the woman had always dreamed of marrying into a rich family. With her looks and family background, she thought that it would be easy for her to land an heir of some large company. As for Zachary, she dated him because he was extremely good-looking.

However, she did not expect him to be the one to break off the relationship with her within a month. She was the one who broke up with the men she had dated, and now, being dumped severely damaged her self-esteem. She hadn’t been able to get in touch with Zachary for a week since they broke up. Thinking that he might go on yet another blind date, she went to the restaurant they used to patronize to wait for him. Her plan was to get back together with him and then dump him herself. After all, he was not the only handsome man around her.

When she heard Zachary’s reason for breaking up with her, she was astonished and, at the same time, overjoyed. Her track record for dumping men still remained intact, after all.

If Zachary knew what his arrogant ex-girlfriend was thinking, who knew what he would say? Yasmin overheard their conversation and realized that the handsome man in this scenario was her blind date, who happened to be gay. This realization left her flabbergasted for a while, and then it struck her. ‘Huh. This might be for the best.

Zachary is not interested in women, and I’m not interested in him, either. It’s only my mother who’s set on him as a son-in-law.’ If she and Zachary actually became a couple, then they would both benefit from the relationship. She could use him to finally get out of endless blind dates, and Zachary would be free to pursue whomever he wanted without his family forcing him to date women.

The more she thought about it, the more Yasmin saw Zachary as the best option for her under the circumstances. As soon as the arrogant woman disappeared, she boldly stepped forward to meet Zachary.
