Rebirth of the Prime Dragon Master -
Chapter 1257 The Mysterious Woman
The giant ice bird hesitated for a second when it heard the sweet voice, hovering in the airuncertainly. When it finally started moving, it turned away from Rocky as if it forgot that he existed, did a quick one-eighty-degree turn, and then flew deeper into the ice forest. Its deafening screechcould still be heard, even as it disappeared from sight.
Rocky breathed a sigh of relief, and felt the restraints on his body loosen up. Still, he didn't let his.guard down. He determined that the colossal ice bird was the source of the screams outside, whichmade a shiver crawl through his spine. Its aura was even stronger than that of the strongest ancientdemonic beast!
Therefore, at that moment, Rocky was also amazed and curious. He could not help but wonderwhere that enormous ice bird came from and why it lived in this strange place.
Soon, however, Rocky heard the sweet voice that had stopped the ice bird from attacking him. Ashis head swiveled towards the direction of the voice, he saw a beautiful, mysterious womanstanding in an ice pavilion beside the ice forest. She looked weak and fragile like a thin reed thatcould easily be blown away by the wind.
Seeing this, Rocky couldn't help but come closer, as he was afraid that the woman needed help. Hearrived at the ice pavilion and found that, on a closer look, the mysterious woman looked like anangel that had just fallen to the mortal world, with an extraordinary aura all over her body. Herbeautiful face was clear and pale, bare of any makeup. It was like her skin had been condensed fromthe purest water. Her every movement spoke of a graceful charm, irresistible and ready to captureanyone's attention.
However, what shocked Rocky most was not the woman's beauty. As he studied her face, he couldswear that she looked so familiar, as if he had seen her somewhere else.
Soon, Rocky remembered the twelve statues he had seen in the Heavenly God Temple. The womanin front of him looked exactly like one of the twelve statues, so he began to suspect that she wasthe real body of one of them.
The Heavenly God Temple had already existed since the beginning of the spiritual race. If thewoman were the real body of one of those statues, then that meant she had been alive for a longtime already. But her face didn't look that old. It was obvious that any explanation behind this hadalready surpassed the law of heaven and earth!
Of course, Rocky had a lot of reservations. First of all, why was this woman here? Besides, it seemedthat she had been here for a long time. Moreover, what was this woman's identity, and what kind ofrelationship did she have with the other eleven statues? As Rocky laid eyes on the mysteriouswoman, a door full of secrets seemed to have appeared in front of him.
Before Rocky could figure out what was going on, the woman suddenly looked up at him, her eyesroving all over his body. Suddenly, she started trembling like a leaf, and rushed up to him with tearsstreaming down her face. "You're here! You're finally here. I've been waiting for you for a long time. Ithought you had forgotten our appointment,” she cried out.
Rocky was stunned by her words and intimate actions. It was as if she knew him, but he didn'trecognize her at all. He couldn't figure out what was going on. Objectively, the woman's actionsseemed genuine. It seemed like she truly knew Rocky, and it was as if she had seen her belovedwhom she hadn't seen for a long time.
'What the hell is going on?’ Rocky was doubly confused, and everything that was happening wasutterly beyond his expectation and imagination.
"Uhm... Excuse me. I'm sorry, but do we know each other?" Rocky tentatively asked as he pushed themysterious woman away.
"Don’t you recognize me?" The woman stopped crying and looked at Rocky strangely.
He remained silent, unsure what he should say to the woman that would not upset her more. Rockyhad never seen this woman in his life. But earlier, when they shared that embrace, it felt right. It feltlike something familiar, something safe.
"Belial, don't you recognize me? Why? You can't forget me!" The mysterious woman fervently shookher head as if she could make him remember by doing so. Suddenly, a compelling aura burst outfrom her body, like a violent wind and a massive wave, which slammed against Rocky like a concretewall.
Rocky felt his breath stop, and his face changed dramatically. It felt like he was drowning, as theocean of her power overwhelmed him. It was like a strong wind, blowing him to the edge of a cliffwhen he was only one step away from death.
'What a terrifying woman!" Rocky thought to himself. Obviously, this woman was more powerfulthan the average person. Even Malcom, who had reached the peak of a ninth-grade of the spiritualrace power, did not give him such a terrifying sense of fear.
Although Rocky was not sure who the woman was, he was confident that she was beyond theexistence of the spiritual race.
A moment later, the aura released by the woman suddenly disappeared. She stared at Rocky as ifshe had seen through something and said, "You are not him, but you have his strength and aura onyour body, and you look exactly like him..."
"Who do you mean by saying 'you'?" Rocky asked.
"He is the embodiment king of evil!" the woman answered eagerly. She sounded flush withinfatuation, and her eyes turned glassy as she talked about the man. She seemed lost in theirmemories.
"Wait..." Rocky suddenly connected the dots in his mind. "Is he Divine King Belial?" As soon as thisthought occurred to Rocky, he immediately got in touch with Divine King Belial. He was astonishedthat the woman in front of him seemed to be connected to the evil king, and it appeared that shehad been waiting for him all this time as if she didn't know that the king had long disappeared fromthe world.
However, Rocky abruptly realized a more shocking problem. This woman just said that he lookedexactly like Divine King Belial, and she was one of the twelve human statues. If his speculations wereaccurate, then the one among the twelve human statues he had seen in the Heavenly God Templewho looked exactly like him would be Divine King Belial.
So Divine King Belial was also one of the twelve statues.
"Why do you possess the power of Belial? Did he send you here for me? But why didn't he comehere himself?” The mysterious woman peppered him with so many questions like a dissatisfiedhousewife that Rocky didn't know which to answer first.
"I do have the power of Divine King Belial, but he didn't send me to replace you,” Rocky explained."Where is he? He told me that he would come here to keep me company after everything wassettled? Did he go back on his word?" The woman's face darkened, and Rocky knew he had to pullhimself together, or the situation could become worse. He didn't want to fight this woman!
"If you want to know where he is, I need you to answer some of my questions first," Rockysuggested with a frown.
The woman seemed eager to know the whereabouts of Divine King Belial, so she answered withouthesitation, "What do you want to know?"
"How did all the beings buried in the Myriad Spirit Tomb die? And who are the twelve statues in theHeavenly God Temple? Besides you and Divine King Belial, who are the ten other figures?" Rockyasked straightforwardly.
