Chapter 1287 The Heavenly Demon Clan's Invitation

Rocky and Lena entered the royal family's forbidden area as soon as they received permission fromthe royal family's several elders. Soon, they walked into the mysterious hall where the Holy DragonEmpire's Witches had been buried.

They studied the sarcophagi that were placed in a row, and Lena pointed to one of them. "Hmn... Ithink this is the one," she said, nodding at Rocky.

Although shehas been dead for a long time, she looked as if she was just asleep, and not a single part of her hadrotted. This woman was the Witch of the Holy Dragon Empire who had hidden the Dragon MasterClan's holy treasure and left some clues about the Myriad Spirit Tomb.

At that point, Lena reached her hand into the sarcophagus, took out the last colored pearl from thebelt around the waist of the Witch, and handed it to Rocky.

Rocky took it at once, and brought out the circular gold box where he had kept eight colored pearls.Then, he put the new one he had just obtained into the last groove. When it was in place, the ninecolored pearls placed in a circle started shining vividly.

The next moment, the nine colored pearls floated up in the air and spun continuously. A light chainconnected each pearl, and then they suddenly shrank and collided with each other in the blink of aneye.

The dazzling light that illuminated the whole hall blinded Rocky and Lena, so they couldn't helpreaching out to cover their eyes. They could only open their eyes when the light had dissipated, butthe nine colored pearls had disappeared with it. In its place, an entrance similar to that of a MagicSpiritual Space had opened in front of them.

"Wait for me here,” Rocky instructed Lena before he entered the portal by himself.

A moment later, he came out with an incomplete mask in his hand. The upper left half of the mask,the part of the left eye, was missing. It was the holy treasure of the Dragon Master Clan—the HolyMask. However, there was something strange about it. The Holy Mask looked like an ordinary maskat the moment, and there was no sign of an aura that would show its special power. It didn't lookpowerful at all, which was rather strange. According to the legends, the Holy Mask had a very strongpower. It could grant a human being unimaginable power, making him or her almost invincible as ifthey possessed supernatural power.

"Why is this mask missing a part?" Lena immediately asked when she glanced at the incompleteHoly Mask.

"I don't know, but we'd better get out of here before we talk about it. Let's go,” urged Rocky,shaking his head at Lena. Although he didn't know why the Holy Mask was divided into two parts,there must be a reason. He didn't tell Lena, but he was certain that the mask’s missing part was theeye-shaped fragment he found in the Myriad Spirit Tomb back then.

Seeing that Rocky wasn't worried about the Holy Mask’s missing piece, Lena realized that he washiding something from her. However, she had to leave the forbidden area with Rocky beforeinterrogating him about it.

"Lena, you can go back to the Palace City first. I have something else to do!" After saying that toLena, Rocky summoned Ken and flew away without waiting for her response.

'What on earth is Basil hiding from me?’ Lena could not help but wonder, worrying as she watchedRocky's figure disappear from her sight.

After flying out of Dragon Valley, Rocky found a remote and desolated mountain, where he chose toland. As soon as his feet touched the ground, he opened his Magic Spiritual Space and commandedthe three beasts to stand guard outside. He went to the laboratory and took out the fragment hehad stored inside, which he then put together with the incomplete Holy Mask. However, nothinghappened.

"This Holy Mask should be a spiritual treasure with strong power, but it has no power in it at all. Is itbecause it is no longer complete? I wonder if I could repair this Holy Mask. What could I use to fixit? If the Holy Lord were here, he might have a way to fix it. But I don't know when I can meet himagain..." Just as he returned to Crimson City, Sabina, Lucilla, and Erica, who had gone to the Thunder MasterClans remains to look for clues about the legendary guardian beast of the Thunder Master Clan,also came back.

"Have you found any clues?" Rocky asked them.

"Although we haven't found any clues, we have found something else, which might be able to helpus," Sabina replied at once.

"Basil, we suspect that the Thunder Master Clan is not completely extinct. In an underground cave ofthe clan's remains, Lucilla and I found a few bodies that should be the members of the clan. Judgingfrom the degree their bodies decayed, it can't be more than twenty years. But it is said that theThunder Master Clan has been completely extinct long ago. Now, it seems that some descendantsof the clan are still alive, and they have been living below the remains until they moved away later,”Sabina added.

On the second day, Sabina and the other two women left Crimson City as soon as they finished theirpreparations. They began their journey to replace the Thunder Master Clan's descendants and thelegendary guardian beast.
