Rebirth of the Prime Dragon Master -
Chapter 1341 Jill's Doubts
Since Phoenix Cloud Mountain had been occupied, the Phoenix Master Clan's surviving members, led by Jill, and the Magic Phoenix Empire's army marshaled by Felicia, had no choice but to return tothe empire. They would make new plans after they settled down.
On their way back, Jill had a talk with Rocky. She had held a grudge ever since he took the DivineSpiritual Source and killed thousands of spiritual race members. She also didn't understand why heseemed to have become another person. She intended to take this opportunity to ask him what wasgoing on. After all, when Rocky appeared this time, he showed that he was not as cold and ruthlessas he used to be. What left her truly puzzled was that he didn't give the impression that he wasagainst the spiritual race. Otherwise, he would not have saved the Phoenix Master Clan.
Jill thought that speaking with Rocky might dispel her doubts. She was also very grateful to Rockybecause he not only saved her, but he had also prevented the Phoenix Master Clan from beingexterminated.
"Thank you for everything you did to help us." Jill's tone conveyed that her gratitude was genuine. She couldn't help but lean close to Rocky as if she was testing him.
When Rocky saw this, he shifted sideways, and Jill missed.
Jill's face darkened, and she couldn't help but grumble, "What's the matter? Don't you like me?""You are the matriarch of the Phoenix Master Clan. Do I dare to say that I don't?" Rocky replied witha wicked grin.
"You rascal..." Jill glared at Rocky.
"What brings you here? Did you come here just to curse me?" The playful smile on Rocky's facevanished. Now, his cold, stern gaze bore into Jill as he waited for her to reply.
"Why did you become like this? Is it because of the influence of the Divine Spiritual Source or thepower in your body?" Jill was baffled by the abrupt change in his demeanor. In fact, he hadconfused her so much that she couldn't help but exclaim.
"I don't think you should care about this,” Rocky replied coldly.
"Why shouldn't I? You control my clan's Demonic Soul Cauldron. What if you use it to deal with us? Iwould like to know the reasons!" Jill deliberately used the Demonic Soul Cauldron as an excuse topush him to reply her question. From his behavior earlier, she understood that Rocky did not wantto make the spiritual race his enemy. And so, he must have another reason for behaving peculiarly. But she couldn't figure it out.
"The Demonic Soul Cauldron doesn't belong to the Phoenix Master Clan. It never does. It's best ifyou stop thinking about it. As to whether I will deal with the Phoenix Master Clan or not, it doesn'tmatter because the clan is too insignificant.” Arrogance dripped from every word he spoke. Jill'seyes widened with astonishment. She was so bewildered that she didn't know how to respond.Obviously, she had underestimated Rocky. Now that he had the Divine Spiritual Source, he didn'ttake any spiritual race clan seriously, and the Phoenix Master Clan was no exception.
"But I'm worried about you. I just want to know why you have become like this. Why are you so coldand ruthless?" Tenderness reflected in Jill's voice as she spoke.
"I have my reasons. Leave me alone. You need to think about the future of the Phoenix MasterClan." Rocky coldly dismissed her concern for him.
"If Alston rules most of the spiritual race clans, the Phoenix Master Clan will have no future, right?"Jill sighed. Although the Phoenix Master Clan had survived the battle, they had failed.
"Not necessarily. If you stop being proud and insolent, the Phoenix Master Clan may have a greatfuture,” Rocky advised.
"What do you mean?" Puzzled, Jill raised her gaze to meet Rocky's.
"The spiritual race declined because it was selfish. You are repeating the mistakes of that mightyrace. Besides, you have forgotten that tens of thousands of ancestors had sacrificed their lives forthe spiritual race's prosperity. You didn't learn your lesson. Instead, you became more and moreaggressive. You not only manipulated humans but also schemed against them and framed them.Even if Patriarch Townsend hadn't started the fight that resulted in the race's current situation, otherspiritual race clans would have done the same sooner or later. No matter how you look at it, thespiritual race is doomed," Rocky explained
Jill was shocked, but she couldn't refute him as he was right. The spiritual race had brought ruinupon themselves. The advanced clans of the spiritual race only thought about their survival anddidn't do anything to help other clans, which had led to the current situation.
"Alston is a tyrannical ruler. The spiritual race won't go too far under his leadership. Moreover, theclan number of the spiritual race is decreasing day by day. Soon there will be none left. The spiritualrace is destined to fail," Rocky said in a matter-of-fact tone.
"Then why do you believe that the Phoenix Master Clan may have a great future?" Jill questioned. AsRocky had pointed out earlier, the Phoenix Master Clan was following in the footsteps of thespiritual race. She couldn't figure out why he would say that the clan had potential. Instead, itseemed to her that his direction was contradictory.
"I know of several reasons, but that is not the point. What matters is whether or not you can seizethis opportunity.” Rocky refused to go into detail because he had said enough.
Jill hesitated. Rocky's explanation tempted her, but she didn't know whether she should believe himor not since he was neither a friend nor an enemy.
"If you trust Basil, the first thing you need to do is separate the Magic Phoenix Empire from thePhoenix Master Clan.” A delicate voice broke the silence in the space.
Rocky and Jill turned in unison and found Marcia walking toward them.
"Separate the Magic Phoenix Empire from us? I can't. Without our support, the Magic PhoenixEmpire will be targeted.” Horror reflected in Jill's expression at the suggestion. She never expectedMarcia to put forth such a recommendation.
"In your current situation, you can't even protect yourself. How will you safeguard the MagicPhoenix Empire? Sooner or later, the Magic Phoenix Empire will be isolated. If you split from them, the Magic Phoenix Empire will have no choice but to ally with the united empires. This will allow usto gather our human strength and fight the spiritual race. In this way, we would no longer have toobey the spiritual race. We can survive independently. This is Basil's plan,” Marcia explained.
Jill was taken aback.
She didn't expect Rocky to be ambitious enough to unite the human countries in the Wild SpiritLand and spur them to gain their freedom from the spiritual race.
But Jill was a sensible person. She knew that Alston was getting more and more powerful in theWild Spirit Land. Moreover, with the support of the other human countries, he was invincible!
