Chapter 1403 The Great Hero Came Back

"There has to be another way. I won't let you go!" Fiona declared firmly.

"I'm sorry. I can't let Basil's efforts go to waste in vain. I need to keep the Holy Dragon Empire safefirst.” Upon finishing her words, Marcia spread open her dragon wings and soared into the air. Sheflew towards the Demonic Thunder Tiger despite Moira's protest.

The next moment, a blinding spiritual light burst from within Marcia and she released the almightypower of the Dragon Sarira. The Demonic Thunder Tiger immediately let out a deafening roar uponsensing the dragon's alluringly potent power. It immediately turned around and approached Marcia.Marcia slowly but surely coaxed the Demonic Thunder Tiger away from the Holy Dragon Empireunder the public's watchful eyes.

However, the Demonic Thunder Tiger appeared to be not patient. It thought of Marcia more as preythan a master. Immediately, violent thunderbolts struck down from the sky before ceaselesslyattacking her.

Marcia continued to dodge them with all her speed and strength.

Out of nowhere, the Demonic Thunder Tiger roared as countless lightning bolts shot out from itsbody. The bolts intertwined into a net that instantly trapped Marcia like a bug caught in a spider'sweb.

With nowhere to hide, the best she could do was to resist.

However, the Demonic Thunder Tiger's trap proved to be too strong even for the Dragon Sarira toovercome.

Her entire body went numb and fell to the ground from the lightning coiled tightly around her.

As the Demonic Thunder Tiger drew nearer to Marcia, it released another powerful thunderbolt. Itlooked as though it was prepared to slaughter her with it.

Everyone present was shocked and frozen with fear. However, none of them were powerful enoughto stop it.

Just as Marcia was about to be struck by the ferocious beast's thunderbolt, a blinding light fell fromthe sky like a meteor and lit its entirety in a golden shimmer. Some form of magic began to dispersethe dense thunder clouds until they completely disappeared.

The golden light rushed toward Marcia at an astonishing speed. Although it managed to reach herin time and lift her, it appeared as though the thunderbolt would strike them both before they couldescape.

What happened next shocked everyone present. As the golden light ascended slightly, thethunderbolt that headed for Marcia was deflected and struck the Demonic Thunder Tiger instead.Boom!

As the best was caught off guard, its attack backfired. An enormous crater spanning hundreds ofmeters appeared where it stood.

It expressed its irritation with a vicious roar. Then it morphed into a thunder shadow before rushingtowards the golden light to attack once more.

However, the golden light didn't try to escape and remained floating in its place. Suddenly, an armreached out from within it and gently flicked a finger towards the swiftly approaching beast.

Bang!

A deafening sound reverberated in the sky. The enormous Demonic Thunder Tiger was sent flyinginto the air before it fell hard to the ground, huge dust clouds floating around it from the impact.Everyone present remained flabbergasted. They were all still in disbelief since they thought no otherpower in existence could overcome the attacks of such a powerful calamity beast.

"This feels so... familiar,” Sabina thought to herself. Then, her eyes widened with excitement as shemuttered to herself, "Could it be..."

The Demonic Thunder Tiger, which had now been attacked twice, was provoked even further. As itgot off the ground, its deafening roar once again echoed throughout as waves of thunder radiancebegan to cascade across its body. Everything within a radius of a hundred meters collapsed from theforce.

The beast's entire body was immediately cloaked by an ominous-looking thunder cloud before itfloated in the air and rushed towards the golden light at a tremendous speed

Then, countless densely intertwined electric currents burst forth from the thunder cloud. Like adismal storm, thunder rolled amongst the clouds accompanied by the electrifying crackle oflightning across the sky. Anything the thunder cloud passed over was instantly torn apart by thelightning bolts that relentlessly drilled into the ground.

In the blink of an eye, the Demonic Thunder Tiger collided with the golden light like a meteorcrashing towards earth with astonishing speed.

Boom!

Countless electric currents burst from within the beast and spread across the ground surrounding it.Everything within a few kilometers found itself within a terrifyingly magnificent sea of lightning.There was no denying that the Demonic Thunder Tiger intended to destroy the golden light.

Soon, the golden light found itself surrounded by the mighty thunder force. But then, it turned ablind eye to the force and flashed brilliantly before returning to face the Demonic Thunder Tiger."Divine punishment!" a low voice proclaimed.

Immediately, more than ten orbs of golden light appeared out of nowhere and surrounded theDemonic Thunder Tiger. Simultaneously, the group of orbs all burst at the same time to unleash ablinding light.

Almost instantly, the golden light penetrated through the beast's thunder cover and managed tostrike its flesh. White smoke began to rise as the light broke down the beast's hard skin and bones.As the Demonic Thunder Tiger struggled to free itself of the trap, it let out an ear-splitting howl asthe golden light pierced through its body like heated steel slicing into its skin.

Gradually, the beast began to lose resistance and could only manage to wail, as if surrendering tothe golden light.

Until then, the light orbs vanished.

The next ensuing moment, the golden light reappeared by the ravaged ground below along withMarcia. Moira, Bryant, Sabina, and the rest rushed towards them once they safely landed.

Marcia slowly began to wake up and regain consciousness. As soon as she opened her eyes, shewas met with a very familiar gaze that made hers widen in return.

Meanwhile, everyone gathered witnessed the golden light slowly begin to dissipate and unveil afigure.

"Ba... Basil!" Sabina was the first to exclaim, disbelief painted all over her pretty face.

The rest were stunned as they continued to stare at the figure that appeared before them.

"This cunning bastard!" Shirley shouted, small sobs escaping her throat. Then her sadness gave wayto an excited smile.

Sabina's eyes were tinged with red and began to well up with tears.

Lucilla cried with joy.

Bryant's face, old and resolute, also bore an expression full of extreme excitement.

All the humans and the members of the Dragon Master Clan were full of relief upon knowing thattheir great hero was still alive. He had saved the Holy Dragon Empire once more.

"Basil... you're still alive,” Marcia said in a trembling voice. Slowly, she raised her hand and touchedthe face of the man she had dearly missed for countless nights.

"Thank you for your hard efforts. Now, leave the remaining business to me! I'll restore peace to theWild Spirit Land. I'll always be by your side and protect you, while you guys are creating a newfuture,” Rocky stated peacefully, after looking at Marcia and then the crowd that had gatheredaround them.

His words brought hope to not just her but to everyone else as well.

Then, he placed Marcia down and nodded towards everyone else. After that, he flew towards theDemonic Thunder Tiger and brought it to his Magic Spiritual Space.

"Haha! I thought I was too late. I didn't expect to arrive just in time. I knew you wouldn't die soeasily.” Meanwhile, another light shadow unexpectedly fell from above before positioning itself infront of everyone.

"Glutton! You've arrived just in time. Will you help me?" Rocky asked the light shadow, a slight smiledancing across his lips.

"As long as you let me kill to my heart's content!" Glutton responded haughtily before returning toits original towering form.

Then, Rocky landed on Glutton's back and gazed at the crowd. With a thundering roar, Glutton flewtowards the sky as they both disappeared into the light of the rising sun under everyone's watchfuleyes.
