Chapter 1548 Arriving At The Destination

The border battlefield was only a general name for the area formed due to the continuous warsamong the three races, and it was divided into several small parts.

Among the three races, the Shura Race occupied the largest area of the border battlefield, while therest was divided between the spiritual race and the human race. However, the spiritual race still hada slight upper hand, which meant that the human race was the most disadvantaged one on thebattlefield.

Since the Shura Race actually manipulated the situation, they were able to sow dissension betweenthe spiritual race and the human race. Hence, all year round, the two races were at each other'sthroats, fighting to the death. Meanwhile, the Shura Race was just watching on the sideline, reigningsupreme over the entire border battlefield.

In other words, the human race was in a very bad situation, and if they wanted to survive on theborder battlefield, they would need to strengthen both their offense and defense.

Presently, the Di Clan was the one who led the human army to stand their ground against theinvasion of the spiritual race on the border battlefield. Although the Di Clan had actually calledupon all the human clans in the Ethereal Region to join the war, only a few of them had respondedand deployed their men.

The Sky-suppressing School had sent eight of their strongest disciples, including Rocky, to thefrontline, which was rare but not hard to understand.

The school was relatively far away from the border battlefield, so it took the disciples three days andthree nights to arrive at their destination.

"The eight of you will be divided into four groups and work in pairs. After you arrive at your posts,the Pass-guarding Commanders will arrange your positions, as well as your accommodation.Although you are disciples of the Sky-suppressing School and are relatively free to do what youwant, you still have to abide by the laws and regulations of the entire army on the battlefield," Uriel,the elder who was in charge of the team, briefly explained.

"Elder Uriel, how are the pairs decided?” Eunice asked as soon as she heard the instructions.

"I want to be in the same group as Basil!" Eunice and Carla shouted at the same time.

Hearing that, Moore and the other disciples looked at Rocky with strange expressions on their faces,wondering why the two beautiful ladies would compete to such an extent just to be his partner.

At the same time, Eunice and Carla stared at each other. It was pretty obvious from the look in theireyes that they were filled with hostility.

Even Rocky couldn't help but shake his head and let out a bitter smile.

"If you can't decide for yourselves, I think Eunice and Basil would be a better pair since they're bothfrom the Di Clan. It means that they could cooperate well. Carla, you can team up with Mooreinstead. I believe that you are also going to make major achievements if you work together." Urielthought for a moment and came up with a decision to avoid further squabble.

Since Uriel already decided, Carla couldn't object anymore. But of course, it was pretty obvious fromher delicate face that she was disappointed with the outcome.

"Soon enough, we will reach the Tiger Whisker Pass. Basil and Eunice, you can go and work in thatarea," Uriel remarked.

"Okay, sir." Rocky and Eunice nodded at the same time.

About two hours later, the spiritual beasts carrying the team had finally descended in the TigerWhisker Pass.

Since the commander there received the news in advance about the disciples that would join them,he sent the deputy commander to receive them.

"Greetings! I'm Bertram Fei, the deputy commander of the Tiger Whisker Pass. Thank you forcoming all the way here. Please follow me so that you could rest first," Bertram Fei said respectfully.They were instantly given special treatment since they were from the Sky-suppressing School, andeveryone knew that their strength and skills are undoubtedly powerful. Because the school sentsuch capable disciples to provide assistance, it was only natural for Bertram Fei to try his hardest tobe on their good side.

"Thank you, but there's no need for that. These two are Basil and Eunice. They will be the onesworking under your care. Please look after them and instruct them of their duties. I and the otherdisciples will head straight to the other passes," Uriel responded amiably.

"I see." Bertram Fei nodded. At the same time, he glanced at Rocky and Eunice, nodding withsatisfaction.

Immediately after, Uriel and the other six disciples got back on the flying spiritual beast and headedtowards the other passes.

"All right. Please follow me," Bertram Fei said as soon as Uriel and the others had left.

At the same time, Rocky and Eunice quickly followed behind.

Along the way, Rocky noticed that the Tiger Whisker Pass was located between cliffs. The first threemiles of the pass were built on complex canyons, while the last three miles were established amonghills. With its structure, he thought that it would be quite easy to defend in the area, but it would bedifficult to launch an attack.

After speaking to them and giving some initial instructions, he eventually left.

Seeing that the two beds were arranged side by side without any partition, Eunice couldn't help butfrown a bit.

"Basil, I'll go out for a while." Eunice suddenly thought of something and went out right away.However, when she came back, Rocky was the one who had disappeared.
