Rebirth of the Prime Dragon Master -
Chapter 1594 As Expected (Part One)
Right after they left the tent, Rocky assembled five thousand soldiers which mainly consisted ofmembers of the Swimming Army and a dozen spirit warriors. He planned to use them to form asurprise attack troop.
Ten thousand troops, created mostly from the Shield Army and the Changing Army, remained toguard the Wild Hill Pass. Tucker would have to use the mysterious military arrays that the ShieldArmy and the Changing Army had mastered if he wanted to guard the pass for a full day.
Since the spiritual race's army could attack at any time, Rocky quickly led the surprise attack troopsaway from the Wild Hill Pass. They walked fast and soon came to a spot that was one mile awayfrom the Tiger Whisker Pass. That was where they would make their ambush. When the main forceof the spiritual race's army exited the city and departed to attack the Wild Hill Pass, Rocky and hismen would take action.
In past battles, the spiritual race had lost several thousand soldiers, but there were still about forty-five thousand left. When their main force attacked the Wild Hill Pass, at least twenty thousandsoldiers were going to be left behind. Rocky only had five thousand soldiers with him and they hadto win back the Tiger Whisker Pass. There was no doubt that it would be a challenge.
However, Rocky had prepared for all of that. With the help of a dozen Human-shaped Giant Beasts, the five thousand soldiers would be able to intimidate the spiritual race's army and face them headon.
Early in the morning of the second day, Phelps personally gathered nearly thirty thousand soldiersand took them to the Wild Hill Pass, intending to kill all of Tucker's troops. Just under twentythousand soldiers were left in the Tiger Whisker Pass, which was less than Rocky had anticipated.Rocky waited for two hours to confirm that the army led by Phelps had arrived at the Wild Hill Pass. Then, he immediately summoned the Human-shaped Giant Beasts from the Magic Spiritual Spaceand placed them on the left side of the city wall of the Tiger Whisker Pass. Because he had taken thetime to modify the spiritual beasts, they followed all his orders without hesitation.
The leaders of the remaining soldiers that were guarding the Tiger Whisker Pass were the twocommanders of the spiritual race and Phelps’ subordinates.
After learning that a group of spiritual beasts had attacked the city, the two commanders were leftconfused. They hurried to the city wall and were further dumbfounded to replace that the spiritualbeasts outside of it were the Human-shaped Giant Beasts they had brought here.
"Where did these spiritual beasts come from?" the commander wearing the yellow robe asked, notable to take his eyes off of the huge beasts.
"I thought they had been killed,” the commander wearing the blue robe replied, also lookingconfused.
"Commander, how should we deal with them?" a deputy commander asked, looking to his leadersfor further instructions.
"Summon all the beast tamers out of the city and see if they can subdue the spiritual beasts!" thecommander wearing the blue robe ordered after sharing a glance with the other one.
They assigned a team of three thousand soldiers to protect a group of beast tamers from thespiritual race. Then, the group marched out of the city. The moment that they approached theHuman-shaped Giant Beasts, the beast tamers tried to tame them once more.
But as soon as the Human-shaped Giant Beasts saw the spiritual race's army, they became enragedThey charged and trampled on the people as aggressively as they could.
Filled with fear, the spiritual race's army gathered the beast tamers and rushed them back into thecity.
After they saw that several beast tamers were unable to stop the Human-shaped Giant Beasts fromapproaching the city wall, the two commanders of the spiritual race turned so pale that they werealmost translucent. "Shall we report what's happening to the grand commander right away?" thecommander wearing the yellow robe asked.
"The grand commander is not here. He's leading an army to attack the Wild Hill Pass. We can't askhim to turn around now. Besides, this is nothing but a herd of spiritual beasts. If we want, we canjust order our spirit warriors to kill them!" It was clear that the commander wearing the blue robedidn't take the Human-shaped Giant Beasts seriously.
"But these spiritual beasts are powerful. Besides, we don't know if our enemies are behind this. Theycould be controlling them..." In comparison, the commander wearing the yellow robe was extremelycautious.
"How could anyone be able to control them? Ha-ha! Our enemy isn't Beverly,” the commanderwearing the blue robe commented, sneering.
"You are right.” The commander wearing the yellow robe thought that what his companion had saidmade sense.
"There's no need to create fear. Send the spirit warriors to deal with the spiritual beasts.”
In no time, the two commanders had made the decision to send in a team made up of dozens ofspirit warriors to slaughter the Human-shaped Giant Beasts.
There wasn't a single worry in their minds that the beasts were under the control of Rocky.
In fact, Rocky didn't only intend for the Human-shaped Giant Beasts to break through the city wall.He wanted them to draw out the team of spirit warriors from the spiritual race's army. That teamwas their core power. Once the team was weakened, the rest of their soldiers would panic and theirmorale would plummet.
Therefore, the moment that the spirit warriors of the spiritual race left the city, Rocky led a dozenspirit warriors towards them.
As the enemy spirit warriors started to battle with the Human-shaped Giant Beasts, Rocky and histeam of spirit warriors began to attack them.
Fortunately, despite the large number of spirit warriors from the spiritual race, most of them were atthe Spirit Realm and only a few of them were at the primary stage of the Spiritual Infant. Rockycould defeat them all in minutes.
Plus, he was able to manipulate a dozen Human-shaped Giant Beasts to help them at the sametime.
After surrounding the spirit warriors, Rocky, his men, and the Human-shaped Giant Beasts turnedthe spirit warriors from the spiritual race into easy prey.
In less than four hours, most of the spirit warriors from the spiritual race had been killed or injured. The two commanders of the spiritual race had no way of guessing that Rocky had planned toadvance with a group of spirit warriors from the human race and work together with the Human-shaped Giant Beasts. In the end, the spirit warriors they had sent out fell into their enemy's trap. When they saw that the situation was turning ugly, the two commanders from the spiritual raceordered for the rest of their spirit warriors to retreat. Out of dozens of spirit warriors, only a dozenhad managed to escape and reenter the city.
The fact that the spiritual race's army had lost a lot of men caused the soldiers’ morale to dwindleand quickly.
Meanwhile, without any resistance, the Human-shaped Giant Beasts instantly encroached on the leftside of the Tiger Whisker Pass's city wall and launched a powerful attack.
Although the spiritual race's troops who were guarding the pass tried their best to resist the attack, without the help of the spirit warriors, they were unable to stop it.
In less than half a day, the beasts had managed to put a large hole in the left side of the city wall. Now that they had an opening, Rocky led a group of five thousand soldiers, which mainly consistedof the Swimming Army and spirit warriors, to attack from the outside of the opening. They allowedthe Human-shaped Giant Beasts to provide them with some protection. But soon, they wereblocked by the strong force of the spiritual race's army ahead of them.
