Chapter 1621 Start The Fight

After his battle with Isabel, Rocky realized that there might be a lot of spiritual race troops who wereproficient in the mysterious military arrays. If that was the case and they fought against the spiritualrace again, a simple military array wouldn't be enough to defeat them. Therefore, upon consultingTucker, he gathered a group of six thousand troops to undergo systematic training in military arrays,so that they'd be able to freely operate the basic military arrays. From there, he would graduallyimprove them.

A few days later, after the training, Rocky went back to his own tent to finally get some rest. Nowthat he had been promoted to deputy commander, he had his own tent. Just as he was about tosettle down, a delicate figure suddenly emerged on his campgrounds. He initially thought it wasShirley, but upon a closer look, he realized it was actually Isabel disguised as a human soldier.

"Why are you here?" Rocky looked at Isabel in surprise.

"Commander in Chief Mu asked me to give this to you," Isabel said as she handed the secret letterto Rocky without hesitation.

Rocky took it eagerly and read it immediately. After he read it, a faint smile of relief played on hislips.

"If there's nothing else, I'll leave now." Isabel knew that she couldn't stay long. If she was discovered,it'd truly be troublesome. Once she was finished speaking, she turned around abruptly to take herleave.

"Wait!" Rocky suddenly stopped her.

"Are you going to detain me?" Isabel stopped to glare at Rocky.

"No, you misunderstand. I just wanted to thank you." Rocky smiled at her gratefully.

"Don’t bother. I'm just doing this for Commander in Chief Mu!" Isabel sneered.

"Still, I owe you one. I mean it," Rocky said seriously.

"And how do you plan to repay me?” Isabel rolled her eyes. Obviously, she didn't take him seriously."You haven't merged with a martial spirit yet, have you?" Rocky asked suddenly.

"Are you kidding me? You know it's not that simple to even replace a martial spirit." Isabel rolled hereyes at Rocky once more, filled with exasperation.

"Alright then. I'll give you a martial spirit for free," Rocky said graciously. After all, there were manymartial spirits roaming around in his Magic Spiritual Space.

"Huh? Save it! Quit messing with me," Isabel spat. Secretly, Rocky's offer stunned her for a moment.He must've been joking.

But even as she was speaking, Rocky suddenly reached out and took her hand, taking her directlyinto his Magic Spiritual Space.

"Come out, all of you!" Once they had entered the Magic Spiritual Space, Rocky summoned hismartial spirits. It didn't take long before a mass of martial spirits gathered around them, startlingIsabel beyond belief.

"What? There are so many of them! How did you manage to collect so many?" Isabel was absolutelystunned. Although she had seen some martial spirits before, it definitely took her by surprise to seeso many of them at once.

"Pick any one, as long as you can fuse with it," Rocky said.

Isabel stared at him in disbelief for a moment. Finally, after hesitating, she came to her senses. "Am Idreaming? These martial spirits are all fake, aren't they?"

"You'll know when you fuse with one of them.” Rocky shrugged and winked at her.

Isabel hesitated a moment more, but eventually, she found herself eyeing the mass of martial spiritsbefore her. For a highly talented spirit warrior such as herself, it came easy to her to replace a suitablemartial spirit.

Before long, she stood in front of a valiant and heroic female martial spirit clad in armor. It wasobvious that her former master was a female general who dominated the battlefield.

"Whenever you're ready, you can begin merging with it." As Rocky spoke, he asked the other martialspirits to disperse and let Isabel fuse with the female martial spirit in front of her.

Although it was the first time Isabel had merged with a martial spirit, she didn't look afraid at all. Infact, she looked a little excited and soon began the process of merging with the martial spirit.

As she did so, Rocky stood to the side to let Isabel concentrate.

Six hours later, Isabel successfully merged with the female martial spirit she had chosen.

"Did I seriously just fuse with a martial spirit?" Isabel was still in shock, yet she already felt thechanges in her body and aura. There seemed to be a sudden source of strength surging deep withinher body, making her feel as though she had reached a higher level.

"Of course you did. Congratulations!" Rocky nodded approvingly.

"Thank you! Thank you so much!" For a moment, Isabel was at a loss for words. She knew that shewas only ordered to send a message, but the reward was beyond anything she could've hoped for."You're welcome. I said I would pay you back. Let's go." Rocky then left the Magic Spiritual Spacewith Isabel and they returned to his tent. "Hurry up and go back.

You don't want to get into trouble here," Rocky warned.

Isabel opened her mouth and seemed to want to say something, but her mouth immediatelyclamped shut. Nodding wordlessly, she then turned around and left.

With Isabel gone, Rocky took out the secret letter from Alyssa and read it again carefully. "I reallywant to see you as soon as possible, but my hands are tied," it read. Obviously, Alyssa was hinting ather current situation.

"Is Alyssa saying she didn't want to be the commander in chief of the spiritual race, but that she wasforced to do so?" Rocky murmured under his breath.

Although he didn't know much about Alyssa's current situation, they were bound to meet sooner orlater. After all, Alyssa now knew that he was in their world. At present, his priority now was to replaceMarcia and the others.

Now that Rocky had successfully become a deputy commander, his next goal was to become acommander and continue to make a name for himself so that Marcia and the others would replace outabout him.

Two days later, Shirley, who hadn't seen Rocky for a couple of days, suddenly appeared in front ofhim. She looked extremely serious.

"Shirley, what's wrong?" Rocky asked immediately once he saw Shirley's expression.

"Do you remember the mysterious person in the portrait you asked me to investigate?" Shirleyasked straightforwardly.

"Of course. Have you found any clues?" Rocky's eyebrows shot up.

Shirley nodded seriously.

"And?" Rocky felt anxious.

"If I tell you, can you promise me you won't get involved in this matter?” Shirley asked seriously."Why?" Rocky was taken aback, narrowing his eyes in suspicion.

"Because with your current status, you won't be able to interfere in this matter,” Shirley said frankly."Just tell me already,” Rocky said impatiently. He immediately understood what Shirley was saying.The person who sold the information about the human army to the spiritual race was no ordinaryperson, but someone who held a high position.

"He is a member of the Sky-suppressing Mansion. More specifically, he's a confidant of Canaan Li,the son of the head of the Sky-suppressing Mansion," Shirley answered.

"You mean the man who sold the information to the spiritual race is the son of the chief of the Sky-suppressing Mansion?!" Rocky nearly shouted. He didn't expect this. If what Shirley was saying wastrue, it would be a huge blow to the entire Ethereal Region or the Sky-suppressing Mansion. Howcould a traitor come from the Sky-suppressing Mansion, one of the three major sects?
