In the meantime, Valeria had entered the lair. As she looked around, she noticed how the lightahead of her was dim and blurring the scenery. A very strange aura was seeping from the depths ofthe lair.

She knew that it came from the Nether Dragon King.

Taking out a jade bead, she infused it with her spiritual power. It lit up and illuminated hersurroundings. When she examined them, she saw a very spacious cave in front of her that split intothree different paths.

"Did that guy make in it too?" In the past, Valeria didn't cared whether Rocky was alive or dead. Butever since Rocky had saved her, her attitude towards him had changed a little.

She waited for about thirty minutes and she still didn't see Rocky. She assumed that he had alreadyentered, so she didn't want to wait any longer. After deciding a path to follow, she started movingforward.

She found herself walking along a winding, narrow tunnel.

After an hour, Valeria reached the end of the tunnel. As she lifted the jade bead to light her path,she saw that there was a cliff ahead of her. She took two careful steps forward and looked down,only to replace that the cliff was bottomless. There was an area a hundred meters across the cliff whereshe could stand.

If she wanted to go deeper into the lair, she had to fly over the abyss. Otherwise, she would have toretrace her steps and choose another fork in the road. That was a waste of time.

She had enough strength to easily fly over a gap that was only one hundred meters wide.

She took some deep breaths and rose into the air, jumping directly towards the opposite side of thecliff.

However, the suction force of the abyss was getting stronger. Before the vines got to her, Valeria'sbody had fallen over ten meters and she could no longer reach them.

Valeria glanced up and was surprised to see Rocky's face.

He had entered the lair right after she had. But in order to prevent someone from ambushing them,he had chosen to stay hidden and follow Valeria secretly.

Now that he was holding onto Valeria, the powerful suction force of the abyss was pulling both ofthem down. The thick, long vines were starting to snap.

Rocky narrowed his eyes and thought hard. He didn't have a lot of options. Unless there was a forcestrong enough to resist the suction force, the two of them wouldn't be able to escape.

After some quick thinking, he decided to infuse his spiritual power into the arm that he was holdingValeria with. Then, he used all his power to lift her and throw her at the opposite cliff. But hisstrength was not enough for her to make it all the way. So he took out a Potent Force Rune andinfused his spiritual power into it. Then, he dropped it.

A moment later, the power released by the Potent Force Rune exploded and formed a huge spiritualwave.

The impact of the spiritual wave was enough to cut off the suction force from Valeria and get her tosafety on the other side.
