Chapter 1715 The Interruption

The continuous stream of memories flowing into Rocky's mind was suddenly cut off somehow.'What happened?’ Rocky thought to himself as he reached out again one more time to touch theball of light, but still, nothing happened.

Up till now, Rocky discovered the biggest secret of the Shura Race's royal family: long ago, theirking killed the gods and became sworn enemies with them. “But how could this be?" Rocky thought.Currently, the Shura Race adored and praised the gods, which was contrary to the memory he justread. It seemed that there was still a missing piece of the story that led them to believe in the godsonce again.

If this secret came out, the faith of the entire Shura Race might crumble.

The king must've had his own reason to keep this secret from his people.

Countless questions bombarded Rocky's mind one after another. What happened to the kingafterward? And why was he found beheaded inside the Martial Spirit Graveyard? Why did the ShuraRace worship the gods again? His mind was in a kerfuffle.

Rocky took one last look at the ball of light before looking around the hall. He found a door at thefront, so he walked over and pushed it open

An insidious spiritual pressure greeted him the moment he opened the door. Braving the scary aura,he looked inside the room and found a floating orange jade the size of the Scarlet Heaven Jade.

He walked inside and carefully observed the floating gem for a while before deciding it was safe totouch it. The moment he grabbed the jade, it illuminated a blinding light that lit up every corner ofthe room. After opening his eyes, Rocky found himself in a dark space filled with numerous floatingtreasures. His eyes lit up in awe but upon closer look, the treasures were sealed and were of no useright now.

"Hello, new master, welcome to the Divine Treasure Land!" Rocky looked sideways and saw a lightsoul appear beside him.

"You are..." He immediately recognized that it was a martial spirit and had its own consciousness.

"I was ordered by my former master to protect the Divine Treasure Land," the martial spiritexplained, as if it already knew what Rocky was thinking.

"I see." After the martial spirit recognized Rocky's aura, it must've decided that Rocky was his newmaster, just like what the Wind Monster did. Easing his guard, Rocky then said, "These spiritualtreasures are magnificent.”

"Spiritual treasures? Are you kidding me? These are all divine treasures. They are the trophies thatmy former master obtained after he hunted the gods!" What the martial spirit said surprised Rocky."After he hunted the gods?" he blurted out in shock. Did the king hunt down the gods after heturned against them? It sounded nothing but crazy!

"Master, with your current strength, you are still unable to use any of the divine treasures here. Onemust at least own an Imperial Soul to wield these treasures.” Once again, it was as if the martialspirit already knew what was on his mind.

"Really? Then I guess I have to wait a little bit longer before I can use any of them.” Rocky wasn't abit surprised to hear that. After all, one could tell from their name alone that it took someonespecial to wield the divine treasures.

"Master, there are three Spiritual Energy Gathering Pills here. These pills have the ability to gatherthe spiritual energy of both heaven and earth. It will push you to finally reach the Emperor Realm.Although for me, it would be a waste since you're already so close in doing so..." the martial spiritsaid to him.

"Are there any side effects if I use the pills?" Rocky asked, wary of anything that might happen tohim.

"No, sir, it doesn't have any side effects. The only downside is you have to wait for three hundreddays before you can take another one,” the martial spirit answered.

"Then give one of the pills to me." Rocky breathed a sigh of relief when he heard this. Although hewas well aware that he was only a step from breaking through to the Emperor Realm, he stilldecided to use one of the Spiritual Energy Gathering Pills since what he needed most right nowwere strength and power.

Ever since the battle in front of the door that led to the alien world, he still hadn't recovered his fullstrength. Although his recovery was going smoothly, it was still at a snail's pace since he got little tono opportunities to quicken the process.

Now that a shortcut was at his arm's reach, he couldn't let the opportunity slip by. Even if he usedone, there were still two pills available for him in the future.

"Please wait a moment while I summon the pill." As soon as the martial spirit finished speaking, itimmediately shot out a ray of spiritual light that pierced through the entire Divine Treasure Land.

A moment later, a scarlet pill was presented before Rocky.

Without any second thoughts, he grabbed and gulped it in one fell swoop.

He instantly felt a surge of spiritual power running through his body.

Since he had already broken through to the Emperor Realm before, he was familiar with how it felt,but what he was experiencing right now was completely different. The sudden burst of energy feltviolent as if it was ready to tear his body from the inside. Something completely different washappening to him.

Sure enough, before Rocky could even adapt to the initial wave of power, another burst of spiritualpower rang inside him.

He already had a hard time surviving the first, but a second one was a bit too much for him to bear.He willed himself to survive. In just a few moments, he felt something happening inside him. Theremaining power of the Holy Lord began to collide with the remaining power of the Scarlet HeavenJade. At the same time, the spiritual power also began to clash with his Godly Genius power.

His face turned deathly pale and his body trembled violently. The different powers inside of himfought each other for control.

Although Rocky was in excruciating pain, the martial spirit standing before him did nothing to helpcure his agony.

"What on earth did you feed me?” Rocky managed to gather enough strength to ask him.

"The Spiritual Energy Gathering Pill!" answered the martial spirit.

"Didn't you say that this pill is used to break through to the Emperor Realm?" Rocky demanded in astern tone. He had a hunch that the martial spirit was hiding something from him.

"Yes, but I seem to have forgotten to tell you that the pill can trigger the powers inside your body tofuse together,” the martial spirit answered in an ingenuous manner.

Rocky was rendered speechless upon hearing that. He felt like he was fooled.

"The reason why you are suffering is that the pill is merging the different powers found in your bodywith your own power. If you survive, a new, much more powerful strength will emerge. But if it fails,there will surely be some grave consequences,” the martial spirit explained with understatement.

If Rocky had known this first, he wouldn't have taken the risk. The powers inside him would provetoo much for his body if they were all activated at the same time. He could do nothing but grit histeeth at the martial spirit. It would take all of his might just to survive this harrowing ordeal.
