Time passed in a blink of an eye and there were now only three days left before the start of theSpiritual Emperor Contest. At this time, almost all of the qualified Spiritual Emperors had arrived atthe Boundless Manor, making the most of what little time they had left to nourish their strength andenergy.

During the period of time, Rocky were cultivating in seclusion to study how to use his new powersto its greatest extent.

He also met with Eunice a couple of times. She was in charge of observing the other participants toreplace out which of them were the Godly Geniuses under disguise.

Meanwhile, both Gloria and Valeria also kept themselves in isolation, partly because Rocky didn'twant them to go out, but mainly so that they could concentrate on honing their skills.

Since the competition was about to begin, Rocky gave the jade tokens from Eunice to Valeria andGloria to signify that they were also participants of the Spiritual Emperor Contest.

The jade tokens had a name and a number engraved in them, originally belonging to the membersof the Di Clan they replaced. Since the clan members were only low-leveled, no one would notice athing if someone else took their place.

After obtaining her token, Valeria didn't even ask anything else. In her mind, as long as she was ableto enter the contest, she would have a chance to compete against the Godly Geniuses.

"Hey, how did you get these from the Di Clan?" In contrast, Gloria immediately questioned Rocky assoon as she got her jade token. After all, no matter how ignorant she was, she knew that the Di Clanwas very powerful among the human forces, which was why she was surprised Rocky got a hold ofthem.

"Miss Eunice was the one who managed to get these. I don't know how she did it, but who cares?Besides, it's much easier to fly under the radar if we pretend to be the members of the Di Clan,right? No Godly Genius would even think that we'll partake in this competition on the clan's behalf."Rocky made sure to emphasize Eunice's name to reassure the two.

"That's right. It seems that this Eunice is more powerful than I thought. Do you have an affair withher?" Gloria asked out of the blue.

"It's the first time I have met her. If you don't want the jade token, then give it back to me and figureout a way in yourself..." Rocky was about to take the jade token back from Gloria.

"Then come and get it!" Gloria teased as she put the token inside her garment.

Rocky rolled his eyes and said to her, "In order not to arouse any suspicion from Valeria, you needto play your part well by shifting between your identities as the apprentice pharmacist and Gloria.”"Okay!" Gloria replied impatiently. However, the jade token was a glimmer of hope for her to regainher freedom.

Without saying another word, Rocky left the room.

As soon as he exited the door, he coincidentally saw Eunice walking upstairs and asked, "Why areyou here?"

She gave Rocky a wink, turned around, and went downstairs.

He followed closely behind her.

Downstairs, he was greeted by a figure wearing a bamboo hat standing by the door. The figureraised his head and look straight at him. Rocky immediately recognized who he was. It was noneother than the current acting chief of the Di Clan, Colton.

But he knew that Colton didn't want to expose his identity, so he walked straight through the doorwithout saying a word.

Not long after, Rocky made his way to the bamboo forest in the north of the Boundless Manor andColton soon arrived as well.

"Basil!" Colton's eyes were filled with joy as he shouted Rocky's name.

"Master Colton!" Rocky greeted politely.

"There is no need to be so polite. All this time my heart's been filled with guilt and remorse for notbeing able to save you back then. But seeing that you are fine, I can finally rest easy.”

Colton let out a sigh of relief.

"Please don't say that. If it weren't for you, I wouldn't have been able to send my companion back towhere we came from. I am indebted to the Di Clan," Rocky said, expressing his gratitude.

"No, we are in your debt. You have brought back the Army-blessing Scroll for the Di Clan and madeour wish come true. We should repay your kindness.” Colton immediately waved his hand andadded, "Let bygones be bygones. Anyway, it's better if you'll come back right away. Eunice alreadyinformed me about the Godly Geniuses of the Shura Race. It seems that they are plotting somethingstrange since they sent their Godly Geniuses to sneak into the Spiritual Emperor Contest. What'smore, I never predicted that they'd turn you into a Godly Genius. It seems that the human race isn'tdestined to be destroyed..."

"I never expected it myself!" Rocky responded.

"Since there really are gods in this world, why would they choose a human being like you?” Coltonstill had many doubts.

"I don't know either. Even though she knew who I was, she kept insisting on making me into a GodlyGenius in exchange for something..." Rocky shook his head.

"Really?" Colton looked at Rocky with a frown. He knew Rocky wouldn't give in that easily, so thecondition might have been something he couldn't refuse.

"Her offer is that I can return to the world I came from.” After a pause, Rocky finally uttered what itwas.

Colton couldn't help but take a deep breath. He knew that Rocky couldn't possibly refuse such anoffer. But there must be another reason for the goddess to choose him.

"Do you have any idea?" Rocky knew that Colton had his own ways of figuring things out."Everyone knows what the Shura Race aims for. For them to make their Godly Geniuses join theSpiritual Emperor Contest must have some purpose. But aside from that, what I'm most worriedabout is you. I'm afraid that the day will come where you'll have to choose between the Shura Raceand the human race.” Colton spoke frankly with another heavy sigh.

"I understand what you mean. But when I came back this time, the first thing I did was to head forthe Di Clan to prove myself. The last thing I want is for the human race to fall by the hands of theShura Race," Rocky said with a frown.

"I do not doubt you, but sometimes people have to make choices out of their own free will. Nomatter what you choose, no one has the right to interfere,” Colton said.

"Thank you for your understanding. But in order to guarantee that such a thing won't happen, I planto kill several Godly Geniuses in the Spiritual Emperor Contest and destroy the contest itself.” Rockyspoke out his plan.
