Chapter 1851 Keep Going Forward

"It appears that we're far behind. No wonder we didn't see anyone else along the way. I guess thespot where we teleported to is at the farthest edge of the Ghostly Demon Land. However, this willwork to our advantage since someone is clearing a way for us and helping us avoid a lot of trouble,"Rocky inferred calmly.

"But despite that advantage, won't we be in further danger if we bump into Prince Zain or PrinceEnoch? Don't you think so?” Valeria asked, her brows furrowed. These candidates were competingfor the position of successor to the Shura Race’s current king so, naturally, the three teams were setup against each other the moment they set foot on the Ghostly Demon Land.

"We've overcome all of those dangers along the way. You're well aware of how terrible thoseghostly demons can get. We should be less worried about those from our own race and moreworried about those monsters, don’t you agree?" Rocky shot a fearless smile. Compared to theterrifying ghostly demons from the Ghostly Demon Land, the masters of the Shura Race werenothing to be frightened of at all.

Following the clues the corpse left behind, Rocky and Valeria were now on the tail of the team thathad just passed through the area.

Along the way, they discovered more corpses of the Shura Race masters along with the ghostlydemons.

Another two days had passed in the blink of an eye

The duo entered a swamp teeming with immortal ghostly demons that, they soon realized, were likezombies that seemed impossible to eliminate. They now found themselves in a precarious situation.They needed to escape while they still could.

Fortunately, these zombie-like ghostly demons were only active at night. This meant it was relativelysafe during the day.

Although Rocky and Valeria had been walking for two days, it seemed that they had only gonethrough half of the swamp.

"Looks like it will take two or three more days to walk out of here. It's getting dark. Let's replace a placeto rest,” Rocky proposed to her as he observed the sky overhead.

They then began searching for a safe and secluded area. Suddenly, they accidentally came across abase camp.

Rocky instructed Valeria to stay where she was as he quickly hid his aura before cautiouslyapproaching the base camp. He soon discovered that this base belonged to Enoch’s team.

He managed to draw closer and sneak in easily under the cover of darkness. He then made his wayto the largest tent.

Outside the tent, Rocky hid in a very secluded corner where he eavesdropped on what washappening inside.

"Madam, where on earth is the Demon Sealing Palace? Why haven't we arrived yet despite our longjourney?" a low male voice, most likely Enoch's, asked.

"The Demon Sealing Palace is not easy to replace. It is quite a mysterious place. To be frank, even I amclueless about its exact location. But I can definitely sense it. We're getting very close.” Rocky hearda charming voice reassure an impatient Enoch.

"I've brought numerous powerful warriors with us this trip. We can't return empty-handed. I'mdetermined to be the next king of the Shura Race to have the chance to revive the demonic race. Ihope you will be able to fulfill what you've promised me," Enoch reminded, surprising Rocky whowas still stationed outside the tent.

"The demonic race?’ Rocky's eyes turned cold when he heard those words. He never expected Enochto be siding with and working for the demonic race which had long been eliminated in the Holy-EvilWorld. Also, the only remaining members of that race were confirmed to be mostly weak.

Being the prince of the Shura Race, how did he become brazen enough to proclaim that he wouldrevive the demonic race?

"You can rest assured that I will fulfill my promise to you. But remember that you must first releasePhilip's soul once you replace the Demon Sealing Palace. Otherwise, all of our plans will have beennothing but empty talk! And don't you ever bring up a trifle like that before me next time, boy. Ifyou annoy me one more time, I will massacre the entire Shura Race!" the woman threatenedviciously.

'So, this woman is a demoness!' Rocky decided in his mind.

"Please don't be upset, madam! I'm leaving now," Enoch said at once. He was too much of a cowardto provoke the mysterious woman any further. Once he managed to calm her down slightly, heprepared to leave the tent.

Rocky narrowed his eyes at the sight and didn't dare to stay a second longer. He quickly made hisway back to Valeria.

"So, what did you replace? Did you discover anything useful?" Ever since Rocky left, Valeria had beenanxious, worrying about him. A wave of relief washed over her as soon as she saw him return safely."Yes, I found something huge!" Rocky revealed with a serious look on his face.

"Judging from your tone and expression, it's bad news." Valeria made the guess as she observed hisface more closely.

"Look, Valeria. I have something to tell you. The truth is, I came to the Ghostly Demon Land this timeto carry out another task..." Since he knew now that Enoch was taking the side of the demonic race,he was afraid he wouldn't be able to stop them alone. He realized he needed her help—and thathelp would arrive once he started telling her everything.

"Task? What kind of task you are talking about?" Valeria asked, confusion swimming in her beautifuleyes that stared back at Rocky.

"The deities have assigned this task for me to carry out..." he replied.

"Did they actually talk to you?" Valeria grew even more surprised upon hearing this information."Yes," Rocky admitted.

"Then what did they ask you to do?" Valeria couldn't help but continue to probe further.

"This task is regarding the safety of the entire continent. Hidden within it are big secrets, so youmust promise me not to tell anyone,” Rocky clarified.

"Of course. You have my word!" Valeria could no longer wait and nodded her head eagerly.

Rocky immediately explained to her the existence of the Holy-Evil World, the task provided byMikayla, and the conversation he had just eavesdropped on earlier.

After hearing all of this, Valeria was dumbstruck. It seemed that what she had just heard neededmore time to properly sink in. After all, the entire thing just sounded unbelievable.

"You mean... the man named Philip, who's being sealed in the Demon Sealing Palace was a powerfuldemon who escaped from the Holy-Evil World? And the goddess who chose us has been secretlycommunicating with you? And that Prince Enoch has been secretly conniving with the demonicrace? Oh my!" she murmured as she continued to stare at Rocky in disbelief.

"I understand that you may replace it hard to accept what I've just told you, but we don't have muchtime left to go into the details. We have to replace the Demon Sealing Palace before they do," Rockytold her in a serious tone. He chose to tell Valeria the truth because not only he may need her helpin the future but she was also the only person he could trust at the moment.

"I see. Is there anything I can do for you then?" Valeria took a deep breath before she asked him."Yes. When we replace the Demon Sealing Palace, I will stay to stop Prince Enoch and the others. Youneed to replace Princess Layla and lead them back there as soon as possible. We need to use theirpower," Rocky said.

"Okay, but are you sure you can handle all of them alone?" What worried her the most was hissafety.

"I'll be fine. No worries. Let's get started now!" Rocky didn't say anything more. He carefullyaccompanied her around Enoch’s camp so as not to be noticed before moving forward with caution.Soon, the two of them found a safe space where they could rest for the night.

The next day, before the crack of dawn, they continued their advance ahead of Enoch's team.
