Chapter 197 What A Coincidence! (Part Two)

"Who's there?" Just before Rocky reached the gate, he was stopped by several vigilant guardsdressed in blue uniforms.

Rocky immediately took out the token that Marin gave him and handed it to one of the guards. Heexplained, "It was Commander Marin of the northeast military camp who sent me here.” Of course,it was a lie. Commander Marin never dispatched him. He just used it as an excuse.

While a guard was carefully examining the token, the other guards all fixed their eyes on Rocky incase he darted into the camp suddenly. Although Rocky had heard of the strictness of the CrimsonDragon Group's guarding, it was impressive to see up close. After a brief examination, the guardconfirmed the token was authentic and he nodded at his partners. They relaxed and waved Rockythrough

Since he was allowed to go inside, he asked the guard about the location of the Isis Pavilion. For afew moments, the guard gazed at him in an odd way, but told him in the end. However, since theguard had just pointed out the general direction, Rocky had to figure out where exactly it was.

He was walking in the camp now. He saw many horses and chariots hurriedly running back andforth. Groups of patrolmen were on duty, making sure no corner was left unguarded. At the far end,he could faintly make out that there was a large number of soldiers practicing and training on thebattlefield. All the soldiers were in high spirits, and their hearty bellows soared high into the sky. Itwas clear that the northeast military camp was nowhere near the base camp.

Besides, Rocky also noticed that there was a lot of spirit manipulators in Crimson Dragon Group,and near all of them were at the eighth grade or ninth grade of Mortal Stage. Some of the spiritmanipulators were about the same level as him, and some other even much higher than him. Healso came across two or three spirit manipulators who wore the same uniform as Flank. Accordingto Rocky's estimation, it was highly possible that they had reached the eighth grade of the EarthlyStage or the early stage of the Heavenly Stage. Each of them walked in full air and was followed byseveral hundred soldiers in procession.

Rocky followed the direction pointed by the blue-coated guard and soon found the Isis Pavilion. ThePavilion was a two-story cottage. Standing among several imposing buildings, it looked so delicateand graceful. Its elegant architecture did not match with its surroundings; after all, it was in amilitary camp. All of the buildings appeared to be more masculine and imposing, but this one wasmore feminine. It looked very out of place! A house like this should be located in the southernriverside town or someplace else that boasted idyllic scenery. One would easily think of a noble ladyliving in it.

As he approached, Rocky caught a glimpse of a pretty figure. That person was immersed ingardening. He could faintly recognize it was Sue, so he walked closer and took a closer look. Yes,she was Sue! Rocky grinned happily.

"Sue!" Rocky joyfully called her name out aloud and quickly walked over.

Sue wasn't expecting anyone, but at the sound of the voice, she immediately turned around. At thesight of Rocky, she beamed with surprise and joy as she sprang up to greet him. "Mr. Bai!" sheexclaimed. The next moment, she started looking around him anxiously. To her disappointment, shedidn't see Uriah or Rubygon trailing after him.

"I didn’t take my spirit-manipulated beasts with me for fear that Rubygon might cause unnecessarytrouble in this camp,” Rocky explained as he noticed Sue's disappointed face.

"Never mind. But will you bring him with you next time you come here?" Sue had always been aconsiderate girl and quickly let go of her disappointment. Rocky nodded and ruffled her hair. Shethen showed him the way and entered the Isis Pavilion.

"By the way, Miss Isis happens to be out. So make yourself at home before she returns and don'thesitate to tell me everything that has happened,” Sue said joyfully as she motioned for Rocky to sitdown and poured him a nice cup of tea.

"I am so happy to see that you've grown accustomed to living here. I worried about you a lot andfeared that you might be treated badly here,” Rocky said gently. He was relieved and glad to seethat she seemed to be doing well. There was even a sparkle in her eyes! He had been worried thather naivete would make her vulnerable.

"Excuse me? Me? You think someone would bully me? No one dares to do so," Sue bragged.

"So Miss Isis? She is the cousin of Marin, isn't she?" Sue's words perhaps reminded Rocky ofsomething, so he asked.

"Yeah, she is. Didn't Commander Marin tell you anything about Miss Isis?" Sue was confused andhad no idea why Rocky asked like this.

"No, she didn't explain it. So, tell me more about her. Who on earth is she?" Rocky noticed Sue'sastonished face, which made him even more curious.

"Let me tell you then! In the Crimson Dragon Group, Miss Isis is the... " Sue didn't finish her wordsbecause she was interrupted by a voice calling from outside. Someone wanted her. She went out atonce and came back a moment later.

"I am really sorry, Mr. Bai. I must go on an urgent errand and fetch some stuff for Miss Isis. I need togo right now. I will be back later. I don't think she'll be back anytime soon today. So, you can justwait for me here. Just in case she comes back earlier than me, you can explain that you're mybrother and came to visit me. Miss Iris is a generous lady and I'm sure she wouldn't mind youstaying here alone." Sue quickly finished her words, embracing him hastily before she left in a hurry.
