Chapter 213 Took The Green Hand Along

That day, as Rocky had raced to the Spiritual Fairyland, he hid his carriage in a secret corner, thenset foot in the Fairyland alone. The moment Rocky reached the beautiful scenery of the SpiritualFairyland, he was able to feel the threat lurking there. Due to his past encounters with the spirit-manipulated beast, he could sense the beast's presence everywhere. And it was very strong, too.With the utmost caution, Rocky marched along the footsteps left by the other spirit manipulators.He saw many bodies of spirit-manipulated beasts along the way, as well as some bodies of otherspirit-manipulators. Yet, thanks to the efforts of those predecessors who removed the obstacles onthe way, Rocky was now able to reach the interior of the Spiritual Fairyland without any trouble.Rocky knew that it would not be an easy task to replace either the precious treasure or the RainbowGlow Unicorn even if they really existed in this Fairyland. Although he could now enticed theRainbow Glow Unicorn to show up by magical saliva, he might not be able to subdue it by hiscurrent cultivation base. After all, the Rainbow Glow Unicorn was comparatively strong. Rather thanrisking his chance, he would like to observe the situation for a little longer in order to establish agood haunt. At this point, it was the best choice for him to blend in within the group of spiritmanipulators, so that he would not have to deal with the unnecessary risk on his own.

Suddenly, he was struck by a thought as he watched those spirit manipulators for a few seconds.Rocky squatted down and smeared his robe and his face with the dirt on the ground. And heseemed to have just emerged from an extreme circumstance. Then, he rushed in to the spiritmanipulators in a panic expression.

Gathered under the old tree, the spirit manipulators were on immediate alert as they saw thebushes vibrating violently a few meters away. In secret, they had gathered their spiritual powerready to fight for any possible attacks. At that moment, they saw a dirty and messy man comingfrom behind the tree.

"Help!" The scrambling figure was, of course, Rocky. He hurled toward the spirit manipulators, as iffleeing from some terrifying and deadly beast that was running after him.

The spirit manipulators looked warily at the back of Rocky, as his panicking flight made themanxious about the situation. Yet, after some tense moments of safety, nothing came up. They turnedto check Rocky's build and observe the extent of his strength. The spirit manipulators immediatelyrealized that it was just Rocky who had overreacted. The realization made them break into fits oflaughter. "Hey, aren't you overestimating yourself? How dare you come to the Spiritual Fairyland?Do you want to die here?" one of the spirit manipulators asked.

"Oh, my brothers, help me out!" Rocky sprinted in front of the spirit manipulators as he cried, still ingreat fear.

"Is this guy losing his mind? Why is he still yelling for help, even though nothing is coming up?"Asked by one of the spirit manipulators with disdain as he glared at the frightened Rocky.

"Why are you here, young man? Based on what we have observed, we think it is too dangerous foryou to come to this Fairyland,” Carl asked in a very serious manner.

"I have come here with many people. I have learned that there are a lot of treasures and spiritualbeasts. But not long after we reached this area, we were blocked by a very powerful wild spirit-manipulated beast. Before I could see how it looked, all my companions were killed. I had bent backto run here,” Rocky said in a terrified voice. He didn't waste his acting talent.

"I think you and your companions are a bunch of idiots who fail to understand your ownboundaries! How dare you come here to look for treasures and the spiritual beasts at your presentcultivation base? It's nothing more than a suicidal attempt to me," the yellow-haired spiritmanipulator taunted as he gloated over Rocky's suffering. It looked like he was having fun."Archer, stop kicking this young man when he's down already. He had suffered enough,” Todfrowned as he talked to the spirit manipulator in ginger hair.

"Brother, can I go along with you? I feel that all of you are very strong. It must be safe to comealong with you. I just want to leave here safe and sound. It is too dangerous. I'm afraid I can't leavehere alive by myself," Rocky begged in an innocent look to Tod. He knew this man was the leader ofthis group and he looked kind enough to take him along.

As expected, Tod was swayed by Rocky's words. He eyed Rocky for a few seconds as if he wasthinking it through.

"Tod, you do not really want to take this burden with us, do you?" Archer, the spirit manipulator inyellow hair exclaimed in surprise as he saw Tod pausing in hesitation

The other spirit manipulators also chimed in with Archer. Because they thought Rocky's survival ratewas too low that he must be a drag on the group. He would have hindered their process to searchthe treasure and the Unicorn if they took him along.

"But isn't it too inhumane if we leave him here alone? It's true that his strength and experience areweak but he is a spirit manipulator. He should be able to protect himself. I don't think he's going tobe such a burden and delay us in the process. I'm afraid he's going to be killed here sooner or laterif we leave him alone in this Fairyland. We are all spirit manipulators. We shall help each other underthis kind of dangerous situations.” This was what Tod stated. He looked at the rest of the spiritmanipulators.

"But..." Archer still wanted to say something but chose to remain quiet because he had realized thatTod seemed to be determined by his decision.

Considering to the fact that Tod was their leader, the other spirit manipulators also chose to keeptheir protests in mind.

"Hey, dude, you're not going to lower down your guard just because you're with us. You'resupposed to watch your back carefully. Don't be a burden on our schedule, otherwise..." Archerclenched his fist at Rocky as an unsettling warning.

"Yes! Yes, I will," Rocky nodded his head quickly to demonstrate his full understanding of Archer'swarning. Yet his smooth lips had a sly smile as he bowed his head.

None of the spirit manipulators had any idea about Rocky's facade. Everything was under Rocky'scontrol now. And they were completely fooled by him.

"I am Tod Cao. What is your name, young man?” Tod greeted by introducing himself.

"My name is Rookie," he answered. Rocky could not reveal his true name so he just made up onerandomly.

"Rookie? That's quite you," Archer sneered. Rookie reminded him of the image of an idiot.

The other spirit manipulators had burst into laughter, thinking the same thing as Archer aboutRocky's supposed name.

Immediately, several spirit-manipulated beasts rushed back from different directions. They seemedto have just finished scouting the way. Among the spirit-manipulated beasts, there was one single-horned beast with snow white fur identical to the form of a wolf. It approached Tod and suddenlyhowled.

"Hurry, let's go this way!" Tod pointed to one direction after he heard the howls of the wolf-likespirit-manipulated beast.

In a snap, Rocky left the place along with the spirit manipulators under the guidance of Tod. Theycontinued to move deeper into the Spiritual Fairyland.

It was because of Tod that Rocky learned more about the Spiritual Fairyland. It was a very big landthat was divided into three districts from outside to inside. The place where they had stoppedbefore was the end of the first district, also called the peripheral area of the Spiritual Fairyland. Theyhad spent two days finishing their journey in the first district, since they had to spend time dealingwith the powerful beasts that seemed to block their way. This only proved how dangerous theSpiritual Fairyland was. The closer to the core of the Spiritual Fairyland, the higher the risk.

If the first district was taken as a dangerous place, the second district was even more terrifying. Thewild spirit-manipulated beasts from the first district were equivalent to spirit manipulators at thefifth or the sixth grade of the Mortal Stage. The strongest ones would be barely equal to the spiritmanipulators at the seventh grade of the Mortal Stage. However, it was another story in the seconddistrict. The power of the wild spirit-manipulated beasts was much stronger in this district.

They encountered two wild spirit-manipulated beasts which were equal to the spirit manipulator atthe seventh grade of the Mortal Stage shortly after they reached the second district. The two beastswere well-built and vicious in nature.

"Everybody, disperse and exterminate them now!" Upon Tod's command, all the spirit manipulatorssplit with their own spirit-manipulated beasts immediately to encircle the two wild spirit-manipulated beast. They spread out a formation they used to engage with other wild beasts in thefirst district.

Almost immediately, Rocky withdrew himself from the group to see how Tod led the spiritmanipulators to battle the two powerful wild spirit-manipulated beasts.

Rocky had to admit that as the leader of the group, Tod was capable enough. He knew exactlywhere the Achilles’ heel was of both wild beasts. Even though the average cultivation base of thegroup barely reached the seventh grade of the Mortal Stage, they were overpowering the battlewith their number and the leadership of Tod.

Eventually, they subdued the two wild beasts roughly half an hour later. With the exception of Tod,every spirit manipulator sat down on the ground, panting exhaustedly. The smug image of them inthe first district was gone. They looked worn out now. Although the two wild spirit-manipulatedbeasts were defeated, some spirit manipulators were also hurt in combat. This was because the wildbeasts were stronger in the second district.

Although Rocky was content to be a spectator, he would have done it in less than half an hourwithout any trouble on his own. But he had made up his mind that he wouldn't do anything unlesshe had to. He wanted to preserve his power for the treasure and subdue the spiritual beast that hewas looking for.
