"That's impossible! An ordinary spirit manipulator cannot activate Spirit Possession. Even aprimordial spirit manipulator will have difficulty in learning that technique. How did he do that!?"The timber spirit manipulator was awed with what he had witnessed Rocky do. He stood mute anddumbfounded as he stared blankly at Rocky's transformed body.

The figure before him looked like a savage beast. His hands ended in sharp, long claws covered withbrilliant flames. The air in the area slowly warmed as the flames played back and forth around hisclaws and then back again. Two tails protruded from Rocky's back. Sparks constantly flew off fromthe tails as they moved slowly from the left side to the right and then back to the left. His facelooked sharp and vicious, and his eyes looked like burning orbs of molten steel.

"Activating Spirit Possession required that the spirit manipulator possessed extraordinary will, abilityand strength. Even with those attributes, there is no guarantee that they will be able to activate itsuccessfully. It's harder for those who do not meet those requirements! I can't even achieve it. Buthe was able to activate it! And he achieved it even as an ordinary spirit manipulator!" The timberspirit manipulator failed to understand how the event that unfolded before him was possible. Hiscurrent level and skill as a Heavenly Stage spirit manipulator was not even close to the skill and levelneeded to activate Spirit Possession.

While under Spirit Possession, Rocky's strength increased dramatically to the eighth grade of theEarthly Stage. Even his energy was fully replenished. This state allowed the spirit manipulator'spower to be fused with spirit-manipulated beasts and this fusion increased his own strength by twoto three grades.

On the downside, Spirit Possession consumed a huge amount of spiritual energy and stamina. Thusthe form had a time limit. One hour was Rocky's limit. The situation had to be concluded quicklybefore the time limit was up.

Additionally, even though Rocky reached the eighth grade of the Earthly Stage, there was still apower gap between them. The power of a first grade of the Heavenly Stage was still stronger. Rockyhad several advantages, though. The timber spirit manipulator lost an arm during Rocky's surpriseattack just now. And his spiritual energy was almost spent during the battle.

While Spirit Possession was active, Rocky had access to the nature spiritual power that onlyprimordial spirit manipulators used. This meant that Rocky was able to manipulate Fire thatincreased his strength a lot.

The timber spirit manipulator was well aware of this information as well. He was completelysurprised at first, but the realization of the situation that he was in brought a dark shadow to hiscountenance. Rocky proved capable of many things that should not be possible to begin with.

In addition to having Spirit Possession activated, Rocky now possessed an ability that he should nothave access to. The timber spirit manipulator never imagined such a thing was even remotelypossible. It took him too much time and energy to take care of this little spirit manipulator who wasbarely at the sixth grade of the Earthly Stage. He even lost an arm during their battle. But whatmade matters worse was that he gave Rocky the opportunity to activate Spirit Possession, and thatplaced him in a completely disadvantageous situation. As a master of the Heavenly Stage, this battlewas a complete shame to him. He would be a laughingstock if what happened here became knownto anyone in the Timber Deity Empire!

'Who the hell is this guy?! He looked like an ordinary guy but the abilities he displayed areastounding! Unfortunately, instead of trying to replace out who he really is, the only important thingright now is killing him. He cannot stay alive!" the timber spirit manipulator thought with grimdetermination. No matter who Rocky truly was, he gained nothing from letting Rocky live. Hesuspected Rocky's true identity with that thought. Even if Rocky truly did come from an alliedempire, he would still kill Rocky without hesitation. He only saw problems in the future if Rockylived.

Rocky had the exact same thought. If anyone found out that he had the Dark Heaven Insect Queen,he would never be at peace. The only thing that mattered to Rocky right now was to get rid of thetimber spirit manipulator to keep his secret. But the timber spirit manipulator was much strongerthan him. He had to use all of his hidden powers.

The same objective urged these two combatants forward as the confrontation neared the finalchapter!

Unwavering eyes fixed on each other. Their spiritual powers brought forth to its fullest! Withoutwarning and as if signaling the final stage of the contest, a dust-filled wind blew between the twocombatants.

"Fire Cloud!" Rocky immediately took advantage of the dust-filled wind and began his attack. TheSpirit Possession gave him access to the Vast Nebula Skill and this allowed him to merge it with thepower of Fire. A burning flame immediately flew towards the direction of the timber spiritmanipulator.

"Thunder Bursts Strike!" The timber spirit manipulator reflexively summoned a counterattack assoon as he sensed Rocky's intention. Although losing an arm severely weakened him, he had theadvantage of experience in combat. He used the spiritual martial arts that he was most proud of todeal with Rocky's attack. Three lightning bolts emerged from the ground and took an intercept pathtowards Rocky's attack. The attacks took independent paths towards its target.

When the two attacks finally crossed each other's paths, time in the entire area seemed to havestopped for a fraction of a second. No sound and no movement happened for that entire fraction ofa second and then it came. A loud and powerful explosion filled the area with smoke, debris,lightning and fire that destroyed everything it touched. The explosion threw shades of destruction inall directions that looked like shadowy figures running away from the devastation. When the smokeand devastation cleared, almost nothing remained standing where the explosion had hit, except thetwo combatants locked in a deadly battle for superiority. And the death of one of the twocombatants was the only possible ending.

Rocky's increase in power was not enough to give him complete advantage over his opponent. Itwas the timber spirit manipulator's folly of underestimating Rocky that gave Rocky most of hisadvantages over him. But the timber spirit manipulator seemed to have learned his lesson. He nowregarded Ricky seriously. He now fought Rocky with his full skill and ability. He defended againstRocky's attacks with just the right counterattacks. He never overextended himself that mightendanger him from another unexpected counterattack from Rocky. Even the smallest miscalculationby either one of the two combatants could completely turn the tide and end in the defeat anddeath of one of them. They were both locked into this seemingly unending game of attack andcounterattack. Neither of them wanted to give the other any advantage, any hint of an opening, anyhint of weakness. Each one was determined in wiping the other off the face of the planet.

The fight was not kind to the timber spirit manipulator. He did not expect Rocky to be seriouslyaggressive when he was under Spirit Possession. Fire and Thunder were both destructive energiesand they both gained no advantage over the other.

But Rocky was on the brink of collapse, and the Spirit Possession was about to expire. Once itended, Rocky's power level would go back to that of a sixth grade of the Earthly Stage. Moreover,his spiritual power would be almost completely depleted. The only outcome once Rocky dropped tothat state was losing to his opponent and getting killed.

With the knowledge of what would happen once the Spirit Possession ended; Rocky knew that hehad to do something before the Spirit Possession expired. And it was not long before Rocky cameup with an idea. He dug his hand into his silken pouch and brought out a Heaven Divine Lotus Seed.His opponent saw all of Rocky's movements and noticed the Heaven Divine Lotus Seed that Rockybrought out. This particular one seemed filled with spiritual power unlike the previous one before it.His eyes narrowed while he thought about the situation.

The last Heaven Divine Lotus Seed had been used several times and its spiritual power was almostcompletely exhausted. All Rocky had to do was crush it and it released all of its remaining energy.But this one Heaven Divine Lotus Seed that Rocky brought out was different. It had never been usedeven once. Rocky could not crush this one for its energy. And it would be unwise if Rocky plannedto take its spiritual power directly. That would be the same as suicide.

With his spiritual power almost completely exhausted, Rocky had no other choice but to use aHeaven Divine Lotus Seed. Using it allowed him to complete what he was determined to do. It wasthe only way for him to obtain more energy.

But his opponent was fully aware of what he intended to do. He was aware that Rocky could nolonger sustain the Spirit Possession. He smiled slightly at the thought. He knew that it was only amatter of time. Once Rocky used up all his spiritual power and reverted back, he would immediatelykill him.

What the timber spirit manipulator never expected was that Rocky still had enough energy left; heturned into a shadow of fire with a Heaven Divine Lotus Seed in one hand and rushed at full speedtowards him. Rocky appeared to have defeated the timber spirit manipulator in their final clash.
