"Commander Zuo was killed!" "Commander Zuo is dead!" Panic-stricken, all the soldiers and spiritmanipulators of the Timber Deity Empire looked at the head of Commander Zuo that was lying onthe ground. A while later, Rocky was surrounded by hundreds of overjoyed people who were dancing andchanting joyful melodies. Their cheers were so loud that they sounded like thunder. They were alsoplaying football with commander Zuo's head instead of a ball.

"Attention, everybody! It's not time to celebrate yet. I want you to divide yourselves into twogroups, and then burn the two camps of the Timber Deity Empire in the east of the Rough Slope,”Rocky ordered. Despite Rocky's joy, he could still think straight. He looked calm and serious.

The soldiers and spirit manipulators immediately left to carry out his order.

Rocky walked to the bloody head of Commander Zuo, which was already covered in dust and sand.He picked it up by its messy hair, and disappeared on the spot.

Meanwhile, the troops of the northeast military army led by Marin were attacked by two camps oftroops of the Timber Deity Empire at the same time, and they were about to break down. "Go!" Commander Zhou waved his hand at his soldiers after getting angered by Marin's refusal togive up. In an instant, thousands of soldiers and spirit manipulators rushed to the northeast militarytroops from all directions, just like a flood.

Upon seeing this frightful scene, Marin became panicked. She didn't know whether Rocky couldmanage to kill the other commander of the Timber Deity Empire or not, but she did know that thenortheast military army could no longer hold up. They just had to fight their way out of the siegeand retreat as planned.

After hesitating for some moments, Marin decided to show her ace in the hole. She made a crack inthe air, and a giant dragon immediately came out of the crack. When it spread its wings, a gust ofheavy wind came through like terrifying waves.

"Jesus! That's a dragon!" the troops of the Timber Deity Empire exclaimed in astonishment.Regarded as a higher species among spirit-manipulated beasts, dragons could only be manipulatedby the royal spirit manipulators of the Holy Dragon Empire. Since there were not many royal spiritmanipulators, and since not every royal spirit manipulator had such a spirit-manipulated beast as adragon, seeing a dragon in such a small scale battle was something that had never happenedbefore. Also, dragons rarely appeared in the front line, so this was such an unpleasant surprise forthe Timber Deity Empire.

The dragon that came out of the crack was Verdanim, Marin's spirit-manipulated beast. Marin hadno other choice but to call Verdanim to fight even though it had just recovered from serious injuries.Now that the northeast military army was in an extremely difficult situation, Verdanim's health wasno longer her priority.

The sudden appearance of Verdanim that kept flying in the air successfully shocked the troops ofthe Timber Deity Empire. Once it waved a wing, several dozen soldiers were thrown away and fell onthe ground. The imposing manner of Verdanim immediately energized the northeast military troops."Break out!" Marin shouted enthusiastically as she was led by Verdanim, whose body was as big as atank. Together, they bound Verdanim tight.Verdanim struggled to get rid of the grip of the wood rattan with all its might but it still failed. Thewood rattan was just as stout as reinforcing steel bars.

"Verdanim!" Marin called her spirit-manipulated beast's name with a worried voice. She was aboutto move forward to help it when Commander Zhou from the Timber Deity Empire got in her way thesame way a ghost would.

Marin glared at the man in front of her eyes, and tried to use her dragon spiritual power at thesecond grade of the Heavenly Stage. When her eyes turned colder, the dragon mark on her armshowed itself. Immediately, a dragon together with water roared past between her two hands, andrushed towards Commander Zhou.

Commander Zhou didn't seem to be scared at all. His reaction was to exert his power at the thirdgrade of the Heavenly Stage. He drew a circle in the air and a spiritual ball immediately took shape.It then moved towards Marin's dragon. When it met the dragon, the collision resulted in a very loudsound and various dazzling sparkles

The two figures instantly began fighting. Unfortunately, Marin's power was indeed inferior toCommander Zhou's to the extent that she was no longer able to defend herself.

While Verdanim was bound tight by the wood rattan and Marin was fighting against CommanderZhou, the troops of the Timber Deity Empire took the chance to attack the northeast military army.As a result, the northeast military army kept losing ground. With a loud sound, the wood rattan was burnt by the spiritual flames. It looked badly hurt to theextent that it retracted to the ground and quickly disappeared.

As soon as Verdanim got rid of the wood rattan, it shouted to the figure in a way that showed that itwas extremely happy to have seen its master. Then it stood up, stamped its right foot on theground, and a big crack appeared on the ground. A weird spirit-manipulated beast that was as bigas a tree came out of the crack. It didn't have any limb or head. There was only a ferocious eye onits trunk-shaped body that was twined by numerous strings of wood rattan, which kept wrigglingand contracting. According to its power, it should be a four-star third grade spirit-manipulatedbeast.
