"Rocky, if you continue acting like that, I will be short with you.” Isis was a little bent out of shape.But Rocky made tremendous contributions this time. Then she cooled down and spoke as tenderlyas she could, "It was thanks to you this time that we could hold the Rough Slope and safeguard ourmain force."

"Commander Marin led the army with brilliant tactics and delayed the speed of the army of theTimber Deity Empire, which is the most critical reason we won the battle. I just did what I shoulddo," Rocky said with a shrewd smile. His smile shined like the stars in the sky.

"Give yourself some credit. If you hadn't murdered the Commander of the Timber Deity Empire andslashed the military morale of the enemy, we wouldn't have had such a great chance. And all thetactics were proposed by you. Compared to you, I did very little. I don't deserve to be theCommander. I suppose I should identify someone who is as competent as you to replace me,” Marinsaid with a chip on her shoulder tone, rolling her eyes at Rocky.

"It's none of my business whether you are the Commander or not,” Rocky said coldly to Marin,turning a blind eye to her boiling resentment. He didn't get worked up about such thing at all. Whathe merely wanted was that no problem came to him.

"Do you literally need to be so mean? You are so narrow-minded!" Marin retorted, perceiving thatRocky irritated her on purpose. It was as if she had swallowed that anger when it was a fire-seed andforgotten to drink something cool, and so it grew in her belly until it came out as hot as any dragonhad ever flamed. She opened her eyes wide, and her cheeks were pink, looking very cute.

"Well, both of you performed well this time. As for the rewards, we will converse about it later. Wenow shattered the plan of the Timber Deity Empire, but I assume they will try every means toretaliate against us. So we should be vigilant and can't lower our guard. But we managed to holdthe Rough Slope and triumphantly killed the leading Commander of the Timber Deity Empire. It is atremendous strike for them. What's more, their whole plan has been disrupted by us, which is aprecarious problem for them to make the follow-up plan. So I intend to assemble the army andinaugurate an ambush against them in a rude awakening way in three days. I'm going to storm theirright-wing defense line which is their vulnerability.” Isis talked about her master plot to halt thedifference of opinion between Marin and Rocky.

"It's not my job. If you don't have anything else, I'm taking my leave,” Rocky said, raising hiseyebrow. He had set the seal on his task, and where the Crimson Dragon Group was going to stormwas none of his business.

"Marin, cool your heels for me for a minute outside," Isis said to Marin.

Marin nodded and glared at Rocky before going out.

"I've accomplished what I pledged you. If you have other plans, I'm not in,” Rocky said directly toIsis, in an attempt to give thumbs down to the requirements Isis might make for him. He perceivedthere must be a reason that Isis said her intentions against the Timber Deity Empire in front of him."I pin my hope on you to lend a helping hand to me one last time," Isis requested earnestly withoptimism. Although she hadn't participated in the battle at the Rough Slope, she knew that shewould not be able to buy three days for her main force in that situation. But Rocky did that. So sheconceded that Rocky was a genius in military tactics. She hoped that Rocky could help her give theTimber Deity Empire a deadly strike when their military morale was low.

"I stated I bail you out only once.” Rocky rebuffed Isis, paying no heed to her request.

"You are so petty," Isis complained, pouting her mouth.

Rocky didn't care about how Isis talked about him. He curved his lips and turned around to leave."Hold your horses! You haven't told me about your requirements. What do you want from me?" Isiscalled to Rocky quickly as a flash of lightning when realizing he was leaving.

"Marin has mentioned that she is going to marry me for you," Rocky turned his head back and saidwith a smirk.

"No way! If you pluck up the courage to do anything to Marin, you will see how brutal I am to you.”Isis threatened Rocky coldly.

"Well then, both of you can marry me. I'm happy to accept that. Ha ha..." Rocky laughed andsauntered out of the camp.

"You bastard..." Isis didn't have any slightest clue on what to do with Rocky who constantly didunpredictable things.

Rocky stepped out of the camp and saw Marin who undoubtedly was still furious at him. So he justnodded at her and left without a word

At the same time in the main camp of the Timber Deity Empire, Alyssa glared at Commander Zhouwho was kneeling in front of her. She didn't utter a single word, but the power and presence shewas showing were disheartening.

The commanders of the Timber Deity Empire standing on both sides exchanged looks secretly andno one had the courage to talk, not to mention intercede with Alyssa for Commander Zhou. TheTimber Deity Empire had sent twenty thousand soldiers to attack the Crimson Dragon Group at theRough Slope, but they didn't take the Rough Slope nor panic the Crimson Dragon Group. Instead,they had lost many soldiers and one commander at the Heavenly Stage.

The failure at the Rough Slope reduced the military morale and disrupted Alyssa's deployment.

"It's my fault. Please condemn me to death,” Commander Zhou proposed calmly, not horror-stricken of death at all.

"To die is simple as a playful lamb." Alyssa suddenly reached out her arm and pointed at the swordcarried by a commander beside her, applying her spiritual power on the sword which dashed out ofthe sheath and twirled fast in the air before slipping past Commander Zhou's neck.

Seeing that, the commanders at present broke into a cold sweat of fear.

A strand of hair dropped on the ground and a blood trail appeared on Commander Zhou's neck. Hewould have been dead by now if the cut were a little deeper.

The sword dropped on the ground with a loud sound.

"If killing you could make up for this failure, I would finish your life without delay,” Alyssa said,clenching her teeth. She thought her plan was flawless and would have given a horrendous beatingto the Crimson Dragon Group. But the result was the opposite. The Crimson Dragon Group hadbeen reinforced and would definitely take this opportunity to take the initiative and attack thebattlefront of the Timber Deity Empire.

"Thanks for sparing my life, Princess,” Commander said with gratitude.

"Tell me what happened from the Crimson Dragon Group delivering the army provisions to youbeing defeated by their reinforcement. I want the details. So I can figure out what exactly led to thefailure," Alyssa said to Commander Zhou coldly in her seat.

Commander Zhou nodded immediately and started to elaborate on the process.

Alyssa's expression grew severe as she listened. She had made it clear that the one who had comeup with the tactics could manipulate Commander Zuo and Commander Zhou's minds easily.

'Who on earth is this man that had such novel ideas?’ Alyssa thought, keen interest blazing in hercold eyes.
