Chapter 402 In Exchange Of Help (Part One)

Two days right after the Crimson Dragon Army had muddled through holding the field of the threepasses, the reinforcements demanded by Lance turned up in time. These reinforcements wereconstituted of the Elite Regiment and twenty thousand main forces. Three more days passed sincethirty thousand more main forces led by two Elite Commanders arrived at the frontline, to join theclamor.

For now, there were approximately seventy thousands of Crimson Dragon Army here collectively.With the strongly formidable forces, they were now in a position to thrash back the Timber DeityEmpire. On the other hand, the Timber Deity Empire encountered significant losses when they werebattling at the clamor in Loyal Dragon Pass and Wild Heaven Pass, with substantial casualties ofnearly forty thousand soldiers. At present, these two armies were far apart in strength. His name was Sheehan, deputy head of the Elite Regiment of the Crimson Dragon Group. With thepower of the eighth grade of the Heavenly Stage, he was much superior to its associates in theCrimson Dragon Group.

The several spirit manipulators behind Sheehan, were the core members of the elite forces as well.They were all from the royal spirit manipulators, who had been dispatched by the royal family overthe last dozen years and were trained secretly in the Crimson Dragon Group, to be formed as theelite forces.

However, these Elite Regiment members did not get entangled in the war in a general way. Instead,they would specialize in highly back-breaking and perilous tasks, such as cloak-and-daggeractivities in another country, or assassinating people, and so on. With well-trained, every one ofthem was battle-scarred, very efficient at attacking. Anyone of them solely was even morecompelling than a hundred ordinary soldiers in the war.

The Crimson Dragon Army did have its brawniness doubled with the elite forces entered in thebattle this time.

"Commander in Chief, due to the head of the elite group has been busy with another secret task, soit's me who is heading the twenty members of the group to come and grant assistance,” Sheehanarched his hands and declared, with self-effacing expressions in his face at this juncture.

Then, he turned his head and ordered,"Commander Ron, please do me a favor to take good care of every member of the Elite Regimentwhile they stay here.”

"No problem, Commander in Chief,” Commander Ron responded a split second to Lance. After that,he went down at Sheehan. With one of his hands postured, he spoke courteously, "Please kindlyfollow me in this way."

Sheehan and other members of the Elite Regiment bowed to Lance firstly and later left behindCommander Ron, wending their way outside of the tent.

Right after the Elite Regiment had left, Isis and Marin showed up and stretched their legs into thetent in haste like lightning.

"Father..."

"Commander in Chief..."

Both Isis and Marin arched her hands to Lance as they walked in front of him. They were just backfrom Wild Heaven Pass.

"Oh, you two are finally back!" Lance nodded his acknowledgment at them. At getting a glimpse ofonly Isis and Marin had turned up, he continued, "Where is Rocky Bai?"

"That guy, he departed earlier after the retreat of the Timber Deity Empire made their getaway,”Marin responded as if she was in high dudgeon with Rocky.

"Oh, that case..." Lance spoke with a sullen face and, in a flash, halted as if there was a shift in histhoughts. He then let out a slight sigh and proceeded, "Anyway, without Rocky's advice, we couldn'thave held the field of Loyal Dragon Pass this time. Thanks to him, otherwise, we won't be in aposition to keep both Wild Heaven Pass and Loyal Dragon Pass in the end.”

As Lance was talking, none of the people at the scene had the slightest idea what his actual motiveof saying so. Isis, Marin and other Commanders could only peer at each other and be reticent as amouse at this moment as they were halting for Lance to finish uttering his words so that they wouldhave a definite view why Lance had said so. Sometime earlier, none of them had figured it out whyLance would hand over the army from Frozen River Pass to Loyal Dragon Pass back then.
