Chapter 404 A New Position

Everyone in the tent was taken aback when they turned to see where a certain sound came from.The person who entered was no other than Rocky, the man who saved the Wild Heaven Pass fromdanger before disappearing for a few days.

Once they recognized Rocky, everyone seemed to have mixed reactions. Admiration, disbelief andeven shocked expressions were scribbled across their faces. Some of them even seemed to bejealous of him. A bitter expression, meanwhile, was coming from a certain person called Flank. Rockyhad taught him quite a lesson lately.

Flank was badly injured by Rocky in that fight and had to lie in bed for a few days before he made afull recovery. When Flank saw Rocky, he looked at him with rage-filled eyes, as if he saw a murdererwho had killed his father.

However, when Flank accidentally met Rocky's eyes, a chill immediately ran down his spine. Itseemed that Frank was subconsciously afraid of Rocky. He still had no idea how Rocky was able tobeat him last time. To his knowledge, he knew Rocky could not be that strong. Such a powerfulattack was possibly at the Heavenly Stage. Of course, Flank would never believe that Rocky hadalready reached that level.

"You finally came," Isis said as she shot a cold look at Rocky. She couldn't help but let her gazelinger on him for a while.

If not for Rocky, she would have lost the Wild Heaven Pass. She would have drowned in guilt if thathad happened. After all, it was her mistake that the Crimson Dragon Army suffered a huge loss ofthe thirty-thousand main force and had been pushed to a corner. In other words, Rocky not onlysaved the Crimson Dragon Army, but also fixed her mistake. So she should actually be grateful toRocky. However, whenever she'd like to thank him, her words never seemed to come out.

"Ha-ha! How could I not? The Commander-in-Chief still owes me something,” Rocky joked as hewalked to Lance under the careful gaze of the others. He then asked directly, "Commander in Chief,you will keep your word, right? Can I get the reward you promised me?"

Lance nodded and then took out a Dark Heaven Egg. It was about the size of a palm. The DarkHeaven Egg was gleaming with faint light as if was a black pearl. As soon as one laid eyes on theegg, they could feel the strong spiritual power radiating from it.

"This is a top Dark Heaven Egg!" exclaimed an Elite Commander, whose jaw almost fell to the floor.It was the first time for most of the commanders to see a top Dark Heaven Egg, which was few andfar between. It was a superior treasure suitable for a Heavenly Stage spirit manipulator's cultivation.Hearing the Elite Commander, the other commanders stared at the egg with awe. They couldn'thelp but feel jealous of Rocky, even thinking that Rocky didn't deserve such a precious treasure.“Come on! He saved the Wild Heaven Pass, and so what? Big deal!

"Wow! How fancy!" Rocky's eyes lit up since it was also his first time to see a top Dark Heaven Egg."Thank you so much, Commander in Chief!" Rocky said happily as he bowed and stretched out hishands.

However, Lance didn't put the Dark Heaven Egg into Rocky's hands. Instead, he turned to thecommanders. "Other than Rocky, Isis and Commander Marin, the others can leave now. Dismissed!"The commanders looked at each with confused expressions. They stole greedy glances at the topDark Heaven Egg in Lance's hand before leaving.

A few moments later, Lance, Rocky, Isis and Marin were the only ones left behind in the tent.

"I have something to tell you before giving away this top Dark Heaven Egg.” Seeing that thecommanders had already left, Lance shot a serious look towards Rocky.

"What is it about, Commander in Chief?" Rocky wondered, “Does Lance want to bring up the offeragain? Damn it! What excuse can I use this time to refuse to be a Frontline Commander?’

"This time the Crimson Dragon Army can successfully drive away the enemy and defend the WildHeaven Pass and the Loyal Dragon Pass, you deserve credit for all of that. If we had lost the WildHeaven Pass, we would have fallen into a deeper plight. Now that you have fulfilled your promise toprotect the Wild Heaven Pass from danger, of course I will keep my word and give you this top DarkHeaven Egg," Lance spoke up with a solemn expression.

"What's your point, Commander in Chief?" Rocky could tell that there was something hidden behindLance's words.

"I, Lance Liu, am a man who cherishes talents. If you can stay and work for the Crimson DragonArmy, I will give you whatever you want." Lance's eyes flashed with an appreciative expressiontowards Rocky. He seemed to be deeply in awe of Rocky's brilliance.

"Father!" Even Isis was taken aback by what Lance had just said. It was her first time to see her fatherintend to do everything to have a man as his helper.

As the word just left Isis mouth, Lance shook his head, gesturing for her to keep silent.

"If what Commander in Chief wants is to offer me the position as a Frontline Commander, then I'llhave to refuse again. Sorry, I really have no interest in that! I have my own business to take care of,so I have no time to spare for the Crimson Dragon Army." Rocky chose to speak his mind. Theposition as a Frontline Commander was not attractive to him at all. He only had interest in thepower of the Crimson Dragon Group.

"Well, that's not what I want to say. Actually, I can understand why you refused that offer previously.How about this? I'll set up a new position for you. We can call it Crimson Dragon General. The mainjob is to solve tricky troubles and problems for the Crimson Dragon Group, and there will be norules or restraints for that said position. What you need to do is to simply protect the CrimsonDragon Group from danger whenever trouble arises. This position is as high as the DeputyCommander in Chief. Furthermore, this special position will be confidential. Only the four of usknow about this." Lance handed an olive branch to Rocky.

"So, Crimson Dragon General?" Rocky never expected that Lance would put forward such atempting offer.

"Here is the Crimson Dragon Token. So long as you have this, you will have the same power as theDeputy Commander in Chief and will gain the right to lead thirty thousand soldiers. You will onlyreport to me, the Commander in Chief. Apart from me, there is only Isis who possesses the CrimsonDragon Token in the entire military camp.
