"If that's the case, then why did you come to join the army of the Holy Dragon Empire instead ofstaying with the Sima Clan to continue your training?" Rocky asked out of curiosity.

"My father was once a Commander of the Holy Dragon Empire as well. Nonetheless, shortly after mybirth, he died fighting on the battlefield. My mother was a former member of the Sima Clan. Thus,after my father's death, she went back to her clan. But when I turned sixteen years old, she died aswell. When she was dying, she urged me repeatedly to serve the Holy Dragon Empire by being aCommander just like my father. Then I would fulfill my father's unfulfilled wish,” Dunn sighedheavily. Everyone could tell this was an emotional topic for Dunn to discuss.

"I see," Rocky replied back, sighing too. Dunn's background and life experience surprised him. Hehadn't expected such hardship from this man.

"How about we switch topics, Rocky? You're interested in the Blade Spirit Skill, aren't you? Let meteach it to you,” Dunn offered.

"Honestly, Dunn, I don't think it's proper for you to disclose that to me,” Rocky said, somewhatsurprised.

"Don't think like that. You are my friend now. I'm willing to share whatever I have with you. Besides,the Blade Spirit Skill generally takes at least ten years to gain proficiency and fifteen years to controlit effectively without strain; thus, it is usually taught during childhood. Few ordinary spiritmanipulators can be so patient to practice it,” Dunn explained. He didn't seem concerned about therisks of sharing it with Rocky.

"Okay then, thank you," Rocky replied and nodded.

Dunn then began explaining about the Blade Spirit Skill in detail.

While keeping the practicing method in mind, Rocky went on drinking the wine together with Dunn.He bid his farewell and left the tent. As soon as he walked out of the main camp, he released thefour beasts from the Magic Spiritual Space. They then all went back together.

However, upon arriving at his place, Rocky's face darkened. He discovered that the building was justabout razed to the ground. His laboratory was largely destroyed, in which the tools and sampleswere flung all over the ground.

The two-star and three-star materials and rare items he had acquired from the wild spirit-manipulated beasts were gone. There was nothing left except a few worn baskets left in the brokenlaboratory.

"Damn Timber Deity Empire!” Rocky cursed out loud in an incensed voice, gritting his teeth togetherand clenching his jaw. Unmistakably, his place had been ransacked by the troops of the TimberDeity Empire during their invasion. Fortunately, he had carried the Dark Heaven Insect Queen andthe three Dark Heaven Insects with him before leaving here last time. They were safe. Otherwise, theDark Heaven Insects would have been discovered and taken away by the troops of the Timber DeityEmpire. That was for sure.

Rocky's heart was broken as he looked at his ravaged and destroyed laboratory. Most of thesamples had been wiped out or stolen. Fortunately for him though, he had analyzed and recordedthe data of most of the samples before he left. Otherwise, the amount of loss would have drivenhim to despair.

'lt seems that I can no longer stay here. I have to replace a safer place, and there I will build a moresecure laboratory, * he decided on.

He entered the destroyed laboratory and rummaged around. He picked up some tools and samplesthat could still be of use and threw all of them into the Magic Spiritual Space.

After going through and reclaiming everything, Rocky left for Evian City together with the fourbeasts.

When they were about to arrive at Evian City, Rocky sent the four beasts to the Magic SpiritualSpace. Once he entered the city, he first went to a branch of the Super Beast Farm.

The owner of the branch was Shawn Huang. As soon as he caught sight of Rocky, he grinned fromear to ear. He knew Rocky would give him money, because Rocky did so every time he came here. Itwas good news for Shawn.

"Mr. Huang, please arrange a vacant room for me,” Rocky requested

"A vacant room? Mr. Bai, what do you want with a vacant room?" Shawn asked in confusion.

"Why do you need to know that? Do you want my money or not?" Rocky firmly asked while givingShawn a long glare.

As soon as Shawn heard "money", he left happily to order his men to replace a vacant room for Rocky.He was no longer interested in why.

It wasn't long before Rocky entered his vacant room Shawn arranged. After closing the door andsecurely locking it, he opened the Magic Spiritual Space, taking out many of the three-star materialsand rare items he had collected from the Myriad Beasts Ground.

Rocky then decided to open the door on a hunch. Immediately, Shawn fell into Rocky's room.Obviously he had been eavesdropping by leaning on the door just now. When he raised his head,Shawn saw a big pile of three-star materials, which looked like a hill inside the room. Immediately,without thinking he crawled towards them. His eyes were glittering, just like a dog's eye seeing afresh meaty bone.

"Please sell all these things of mine as soon as possible!" Rocky said to Shawn, who was standing up.Building a new bigger and better laboratory would cost Rocky a lot of money. Thus, he was badly inneed of some fast money.

"No problem," Shawn quickly agreed.

"And please buy some customized materials and tools for me,” Rocky said. He drew a few diagramsand left them with Shawn, telling him to buy the materials and tools according to his drawings.After that, Rocky left the branch of Super Beast Farm for the main camp.

Arriving at the gate of the main camp, Rocky was halted by a few snobbish guards due to hisslovenly appearance. He was forced to show them the Crimson Dragon Token given by Lance. Ofcourse, as soon as they saw the token, the guards changed their attitude immediately, bowing toRocky respectfully and hinting him to come into the main camp, as if he was a god.

Rocky was going to meet Sheridan first. But then he suddenly remembered that he hadn't seen Suefor a long time. Consequently, he changed his mind and went to the Isis Pavilion first.

"Sue?" Rocky called out her name outside the Isis Pavilion.

Very soon, a slim and graceful figure walked out of the Isis Pavilion. Rocky's eyes lit up when he sawthat Sue had become even more beautiful and grown up since the last time they had met.

Sue was delighted to see Rocky. Immediately, she pulled him into the Isis Pavilion.

"Mr. Bai, I heard that you've just made new contributions to the front line. Is that true?" Sue asked,excitement shown all over her small face.

"Who told you that?" Rocky asked, raising his eyebrows slightly.

"Everybody in the main camp knows about it. Even the middle-aged women who wash vegetables inthe kitchen know the legendary hero called Rocky Bai among our Crimson Dragon Army," Sueanswered, looking admiringly at Rocky.

"Really? Strange. I didn't know that I have become so famous," Rocky said with an indifferent smile."By the way, is Rubygon here with you?" Sue asked, blinking. She looked a little sad not seeingRubygon.

"Yes, I brought it, but I'm afraid that you will be scared when you see it in its current state,” Rockyreplied smilingly.

However, his answer made Sue even more curious than afraid. She insisted on seeing Rubygon."Let's go outside first," Rocky warned. He didn't think it would be good to make Rubygon appearinside the Isis Pavilion, so he stood up and walked towards the courtyard.

Sue followed after him immediately.

After stopping in his tracks, Rocky unfolded one of his hands and shook it in the air. Immediately, acrack appeared in the invisible air.

As soon as she saw the crack, Sue asked in amazement and shock, "Is this the Magic Spiritual Space?Mr. Bai, you now possess the power of the Heavenly Stage? Oh my Heavens!"
