Rebirth of the Prime Dragon Master -
Chapter 415 Express Gratitude
The prefect of the Evian City was also at a loss for words as Rocky did so. His sight then landed onthe thing Rocky just showed out in front of him. It was a crimson token, on which an awe-inspiringred dragon with four claws was vividly engraved. Beyond doubt, this token was out of the commonAfter giving it another careful glance, the prefect's jaw almost fell to the ground. It took him a fewseconds to eventually utter words.
"Is... Is this..." Beaming at the token in Rocky's hand, the prefect's voice was quavering.
Of course, he recognized what that was. It was the Crimson Dragon Token, which symbolized thesuperior power within the Crimson Dragon Group. There were only two in the entire military groupwho possessed such tokens to his knowledge—the Commander in Chief and the DeputyCommander in Chief. The one who owned the Crimson Dragon Token, had the right to lead all thesoldiers in the territory administered by the Crimson Dragon Group.
Now that Rocky had the Crimson Dragon Token in his hand, it meant his position in the CrimsonDragon Group might be as powerful as the Deputy Commander in Chief.
With that thought, the prefect turned grim-faced.
"Hush!" Rocky placed a finger before pursed lips and afterwards put the token into his pocket.
A chill was sent down the prefect's spine, and he closed his mouth in lightning speed.
"Dear Prefect, do you know how to do next now?" Rocky sneered as squinting at him.
The prefect's face was as pale as a ghost already when he thought the one he had offended wassuch a powerful figure. Although he had never met Rocky before, he recognized the CrimsonDragon Token in Rocky's hand. He had been in office in the Evian City for a long time, so he hadseen the token for several times. It was barely possible that Rocky would use a counter fake token totrick him, because forging the Crimson Dragon Token was a capital crime. He didn't believe thatRocky had that nerve to commit such a severe crime.
The prefect of the Evian City was a clever man. As hearing Rocky, he understood what he meantbehind words. The only way to solve his crisis was to deal with the initiator. He then strode to hisson and dragged his collar. After pulling his son in front of Rocky, the prefect kicked on his son's legto force him to kneel down. With a hard slap on his son's head, the prefect yelled on top of hisvoice, "You idiot! How can you be that stupid? Huh? Do you have any idea what you have done tothis gentleman? Apologize to him! No, you should say thanks to him for teaching you a goodlesson. Be quick!"
The audience around were all caught by surprise as hearing that. There was a melee among them asthey looked at each other. None of them had processed the situation which was going on.
The prefect's son was frozen and squinted at his father with a perturbed face.
"What are you waiting for?! Say thanks to him! Do you want to die?" The prefect glowered at hisson.
"Th-thank... Thank you, mister! For being such a gentleman and teaching me all that. I feel sograteful to you.” The sissy's face already twisted into an awful look. He had never thought thiscoming. In his previous imagination, Rocky was the one who would kneel down and beg for mercyinstead of him.
Rocky raised his eyebrow and said to the prefect of the Evian City, "Your son needs disciplines. If Isee he make the same mistake again, I would not only show him my fist next time. Remember?"Then Rocky shot the prefect a cold glare.
The prefect immediately nodded at Rocky docilely. Then he pulled his son up and they left awaywith their spirit manipulators and guards in haste. Without a doubt, they didn't want to stay here foreven one more second.
Now that the prefect of the Evian City had left, it meant Calvin had lost his influential support. Hisface turned pale as laying his eyes on the prefect's back fading away.
Meanwhile, Rocky walked in front of Calvin and pointed at him. "You are allowed to leave now.Don't let me see you again! Otherwise, you can't afford the consequence! Go!"
"Yes! Yes!" Calvin was so relieved as his life was spared by Rocky. He crawled away instantly in casethat Rocky would change his mind. After a while, he stood up and went like a bat out of hell as fastas he could.
The surroundings echoed with the voices of great surprise at the same time. The audience found ithard to believe that Rocky could even scare away the prefect of the Evian City
"Mr. Bai, what did you just do? Why was the prefect frightened to death by you like that?" Laneywalked to Rocky and wore a confused look.
"Nothing! Miss Laney, you'd better go back now for your safety. If you excuse me, I have to take mydeparture now." Rocky bowed to Laney. At first, he didn't choose to intervene in that business. Yet,he couldn't stand sitting by and watching a gang of men bully a girl.
"Hold on, Mr. Bai!" Laney exclaimed as seeing Rocky was about to leave.
"Anything else, Miss Laney?" Rocky turned around to say to her.
"Well, you just saved my life. How can I do nothing to express my appreciation? I'm not thatungrateful. How about this, Mr. Bai? Would you like to come with me to the Geisha House? I want toserve you tonight to express my sincere appreciation,” Laney suggested tenderly.
It was the first time that Laney invited a man intentionally, which numerous men in the Evian Cityhad been having a longing for.
"Emmm..." Rocky was having qualms about it. How could he turn down a lady's invitation andembarrass her? But if he accepted the invitation, he was worrying that she would think he hadanother intention to save her.
"Mr. Bai, don't worry about it! I trust you one hundred percent. If you refuse my invitation, I wouldfeel too sad to have a sleep tonight.” It seemed that Laney saw through what Rocky was worriedabout, and she gave an assurance to him with a pleasant beam.
"Well, I can't replace any reason to decline your proposal!" Rocky answered with a faint smile. SinceLaney had said that, Rocky had no more reason to refuse her. What's more, Laney's differencealways impressed him a lot. It was not a bad thing for him to make a friend with her.
"This way, Mr. Bai!" Laney then started and signaled for Rocky to head for the Geisha House withher, and her maid followed them.
When Rocky left away behind Laney, a slender figure in purple walked out from a shadow anduttered coldly, "As I expected, that man is not a good person. He even flirted with that kind ofwoman in public. Why did my teacher order me to safeguard a man like him? He is so disgusting!"As the words left her mouth, she already vanished in thin air on the spot.
It was almost at sunset when Rocky set his foot at the Geisha House with Laney. Because the GeishaHouse didn't open yet, it looked cheerless.
Once upon their arrival, Yasmin came to greet them and held Laney's hand as asking, "Where haveyou been? Do you know how much I was worried about you? What took you that long?"
Laney was the best girl in the Geisha House, and most of the guests were here for her. What ifanything happened to Laney, Yasmin would lose at least half of her customers. That explained whyYasmin looked so worried.
"I got a little trouble on my way back. If not because of Mr. Bai, I would have no idea what wouldoccur to me next,” Laney smiled, and then turned to look at Rocky standing behind her.
Yasmin recognized Rocky soon and was caught by surprise. She exclaimed with wide eyes, "Aren'tyou Sheridan's student?"
"Nice to see you again, Yasmin!" Rocky bowed to her politely.
"Good boy! You are as tenderhearted as your teacher. Oh, why doesn't your teacher come with youthis time?" Yasmin asked in a dash.
"I just bumped into Laney and originally planned to come back,” Rocky answered.
"That's it. Now that you saved Laney out of a tight spot, everything you like is on the house. Pleasebe my guest. And I will call two girls to serve you tonight,” Yasmin said passionately.
"Yasmin, tonight I want..." Laney spoke in a hushed tone in Yasmin's ear.
