Chapter 480 It's A Trap

After successfully leading the four beasts to the edge of the Myriad Beasts Ground, Rocky paused toconsider his next steps. He knew that his power had reached the third grade of the Heavenly Stage,and he had reached his goal of coming to Myriad Beasts Ground.

He thought of the Crimson Dragon Army, but they had been quiet and had indicated no threats orissues. Wanting to do something productive with his time, he decided to continue his cultivation inthe Myriad Beasts Ground. He also took his time to scavenge for rare treasures and Beast SpiritualPills.

'l wonder if Cherry is nearby, ' Rocky thought to himself. Rocky had spent every day thinking aboutthe girl who saved him from his fall from the cliff. He was aware that he was starting to feelsomething for her. It was as if there was a thread that connected them together.

What Rocky did not know was that Cherry did more than just rescue him from the fall; she also fedhim spiritual soul that restrained the evil spiritual power in his body. That way, his second life camefrom the spiritual soul. This soul was what gave Rocky the impression that he could sense Cherry,like she was with him all the time.

Rocky's deep thoughts were interrupted by a tiny beast that flew directly over him and landed onhis shoulder with a howl.

"Perhaps this is the news I've been waiting for from the Crimson Dragon Army," Rocky said withamusement in his voice. Rocky smiled at the sight of a letter under the feet of the Carrier Beast. Itlooked like it was a letter from the Crimson Dragon Army. Rocky assumed it was merely asking forhis help as they must had encountered a crisis. However, the first line of the letter shocked Rocky."Isis" army is trapped in Mount Clouds." Rocky read the first line multiple times. The letter reassuredhim that troops from the Crimson Dragon Army were on their way to Mount Clouds. However,Rocky knew that it was still best if he could go there himself.

Interestingly, the letter had no signature. There was no indication at all of who sent it.

Rocky figured that Isis must have fallen into a trap set by the Timber Deity Empire. However, if theTimber Deity Empire was indeed behind this, then they must also be using Isis as a bait. Perhaps itwas a setup to lure them into an ambush. The Crimson Dragon Army was walking on a very tightrope.

Rocky could not decide if he should trust the letter. On the one hand, Isis could really be in danger.On the other, he might be walking into a trap.

Either way, Rocky had to go to Mount Clouds, and he had to go there fast. If the Crimson DragonArmy troops were walking into an ambush without warning, they might suffer an even bigger loss.Apart from that, Isis on her own was of big value for them. He was, after all, the Crimson DragonGeneral. He could not leave Isis in danger.

He summoned the Rubygon, put the Rainbow Glow Unicorn and Ghostly Ice Fox-wolf back into theMagic Spiritual Space, and led the way to Mount Clouds with Uriah behind him.

It took them two days and two nights of journey before they arrived at Mount Clouds. Rocky lookedup and was intimidated by the size of the mountain. Where could Isis be inside that huge mountain?He looked around and noted that there was no sign of any troops coming.

If Crimson Dragon Army sent the letter to him, they must have been ahead of him and should havebeen in the mountain. It did not make sense for them to still be behind him.

Rocky saw a faint flash of red light shine through the forest on the hillside.

"Let's go there first.” Rocky pointed towards the direction of the light. He tapped Rubygon to signalit to follow suit.

At Rocky's touch, Rubygon screamed and dashed towards the direction of the red light. Uriahfollowed behind.

When Rocky decided they were close enough to the source of the red light, he ordered Rubygonand Uriah to enter the Magic Spiritual Space again and he moved towards the red light alone.Rocky passed through the jungle and found wooden pillars. They were interlaced with lights shapedlike thunder and lightning. Beside it, a huge white dragon was lying down next to a delicate figure.Rocky took a moment to comprehend what he was seeing. The delicate figure was no stranger tohim; it was Isis.

"She is really trapped,” Rocky realized. Rocky inspected his surroundings. He sensed that there wasthe breath of Heavenly Stage warriors near her. He froze. Obviously, it was a trap.

He doubted that he could free Isis from the trap. Not alone, at least. He knew he needed to callassistance.

Rocky was getting ready to release a Carrier Beast from Magic Spiritual Space when he noticedfigures with the aura of the Heavenly Stage appear suddenly.

It was all the confirmation he needed to know that he indeed walked into a trap. As soon as heentered Mount Clouds, he had already been targeted by someone. It seemed as if these masters ofthe Heavenly Stage had been waiting for him specifically.

These masters were mostly at the first grade of the Heavenly Stage. Some had higher cultivationstage, perhaps third grade just like him. Rocky knew he could fight them one-on-one, but it wasimpossible for him to fight all of them at once.

He took a glance at Isis, who was trapped in the array. If he could rescue her, he might have achance to win those masters with her help.

At the thought of this, he turned into a light and flew towards three different directions.

Instantly, the Heavenly Stage masters also scattered in all directions.

In an attempt to confuse them, Rocky went back to where he started and then disappeared. Beforethe masters could react, Rocky flew towards the totem wooden pillar, pulled out a Frozen WindDagger and turned it into a Flaming Blade. All of a sudden, his body was black and red all around,and he looked sinister.

Finally, Isis woke up. The moment she opened her eyes, she saw a figure with a strange glow spedtowards her. She was shocked to realize something unavoidable was happening

"Rocky," she shouted, "why are you here?" Isis panicked. "This is a trap!" she warned. She let out aloud scream.

Her scream stunned Rocky but he was able to regain composure easily. Suddenly, the Flaming Bladeburst into flames.

Rocky threw the Evil Flame towards one wooden pillar. It turned into a moon-shaped knife andpierced the pillar upon contact.

It merely broke through the pillar. "This is useless,” Isis said in frustration. Isis was panicked. Sheknew Rocky was trying to save her.

However, an electric light came up from the collision and swallowed the Evil Flame.
