"Deputy Commander in Chief, it seems I have no other choice, now that disaster is imminent.However, I'd rather join the Timber Deity Empire than die here alongside you," Rocky said wistfully."At least there, I can enjoy a few precious moments of glory and wealth.” Upon seeing that Isis wasseething at his words, Rocky remained calm.

"I must have misjudged you," replied Isis haughtily. She felt rage surging within her; she knew sheshouldn't have trusted him from the very beginning.

Woods and Liam sensed the tension between Rocky and Isis. They exchanged glances."Commander Bai, if you are truly willing to join Timber Deity Empire, you have to prove your loyaltyto His Royal Highness. If you can fulfill my request, I will believe you." As Isis had begun to fume atRocky, Liam had been observing them coldly.

"Fine then, what is your request?" Rocky asked nonchalantly.

"Kill her!" Liam said with a flourish, pointing a finger at Isis.

Rocky turned to face Isis, a frown planted firmly on his face.

"Liam..." Woods was stunned. He knew it was not in their best interest to have Isis killed, so he wasdubious as to why Liam would test Rocky's loyalty this way. After some thoughts, however, herealized that this might be the only way to test Rocky, thus he allowed Liam to have his way.

"You evil bastards!" Isis spat at Liam. She glared at him, her eyes filled with rage.

"Commander Bai," ignoring Isis, Liam turned to Rocky. "If you kill her, I swear I will introduce you tothe lovely princess. I promise you a life full of luxury." Liam's eyes shone mischievously.

"But I'm no match for her,” Rocky answered reluctantly.

"That's easy," Liam replied with a devious smile. He nodded towards the only girl among theHeavenly Stage masters.

The woman acknowledged him by gently waving her slender arm. A wooden mark climbed upseemingly from nowhere, like vines intertwined. At its peak, a tender flower blossomed. The flowerglided through the air, entering the magic array. It seemed to be making its way towards Isis.

Upon seeing the approaching flower, Isis stepped back, gathered her spiritual power, and infused itinto her arm which turned into a wind dashing toward the flower in a flash. Hit by the blow from Isis,the flower exploded into a large amount of power which engulfed Isis. In surprise, she instantlyreleased a huge wind to puff away the powder.

"It's too late. The pollen has poisoned you the instant you touched it," said the woman with a laugh.Hearing that, Isis felt hot all over her body and it seemed that something strange was tantalizingher. She attempted to resist it with her spiritual power but only to replace that the strange feelingincreased so much that she barely had strength to keep standing anymore.

"Haha, to tell you what, this philter pollen is designed for men but is also effective in women.Exerting more spiritual power could only increase its effect,” the woman revealed and then leered atRocky, seeming to hint at something.

Liam then turned to Rocky and said, "You may now begin. She is no longer able to use her spiritualpowers here."

Rocky faced Liam with a dubious smile. "Are you really going to kill her? She is such a good andmeek hostage. It's a pity if we don't make good use of her.”

"It doesn't matter. Killing her would be like breaking one of Lance's limbs. It will greatly reduce themorale of the Crimson Dragon Army. With their forces weakened, you could defeat the CrimsonDragon Army within a month, yes? That would be enough for the princess,” Liam replied with asneer.

Rocky listened to Liam's words carefully. He glanced at Woods, who had been silent all this time.Woods remained wordless. Rocky struggled — “These people of the Timber Deity Empire truly arevicious, they are actually testing me!" However, he knew that if he didn't do as they said, he wouldn'tbe able to fool them.

Rocky knew he couldn't waste time. If they sensed his hesitation, the people of Timber Deity Empirewould instantly see through his plan. But the pressing problem was that Isis had been caught offguard; it was impossible for her to escape by herself.

Rocky felt anxious. Still, he tried to summon spiritual power from within his body, and immediatelystrode up to Isis. Rocky knew he could only take a gamble now.

"Are you actually going to kill me," Isis whispered in disbelief. She looked directly at him,disappointment filling her voice. Of course, she wasn't in Rocky's plan. She didn't know that Rockyhad been pretending this whole time, in order to gain the trust of the people from Timber DeityEmpire.

"Everyone lives for themselves," Rocky replied. "Deputy Commander in Chief, don't blame me forbeing ruthless.” The look on his face seemed vicious and murderous.

Rocky raised his right palm, which shone with a black light.

"That's enough!" seeing that Rocky was actually about to kill Isis, Woods intervened. "CommanderBai has proven his loyalty. Isis is still of value to us, we need her alive."

Rocky immediately lowered his arm, breathing a sigh of relief. He turned to look at Woods with asmile, and said, "Your Royal Highness is really far-sighted.”

"Your Royal Highness, this can't be good. What if he is faking it?" Liam whispered anxiously toWoods.

"Leave this to me," Woods said to Liam. Waving his hand, he reached into his sleeve and took out apiece of milky white jade and handed it to Liam.

Liam shot a cold glance at Rocky, but took the jade. He then walked up to a wooden pillar, where heplaced the jade.

Immediately, the jade emanated an extremely dazzling light, which was then absorbed by the pillar.The pillar then collapsed.

As soon as the magic array was broken, Rocky grabbed Isis. Simultaneously, he opened the MagicSpiritual Space.

"Lad, you are a good actor!" Liam shouted as soon as he saw Rocky's moves. In a flash, he movedtowards Rocky, as though he had anticipated this betrayal.

The other Heavenly Stage masters followed closely behind.

Right at that moment, a Rainbow Glow Unicorn's head emerged from the Magic Spiritual Spaceopened by Rocky. Colorful clouds appeared on the unicorn's forehead, and Rocky immediatelypressed his hand on it.

By the time Liam and the other Heavenly Stage masters realized what was happening, Rocky and Isishad vanished like vapor.

"Where are they?" Liam roared furiously. Liam's eyes widened in shock. He desperately looked backand forth, unable to grasp their disappearance.

"I didn’t expect Commander Bai to perform such a strange feat,” Woods commented in wonder."How interesting!" As opposed to his people who were furious and anxious, Woods appeared to bevery calm despite the fact that Rocky had vanished from thin air.

"They can't be far. Find them for me right now!" Liam demanded.

Just then, Silver Wind, who had been lying on the ground all the whole time, suddenly came totrouble them. It rushed towards Liam and other Heavenly Stage masters to block their way.

Two masters quickly summoned their spirit-manipulated beasts to attack Silver Wind.

The rest of the masters split up, trying to replace Rocky and Isis.

"Your Royal Highness, you knew that Rocky was lying. Why did you let him go?” Liam asked,confused and frustrated.

"The poison in Isis could lead to her death if her burning sexual desire cannot be satisfied. So theonly way to save her is..." Woods said with a mysterious smile. "We don't need to search for them.Instead, inform the Crimson Dragon Army of the news that Isis is captured in Mount Clouds andthen wait for an excellent show," he added.
