Rebirth of the Prime Dragon Master
Chapter 495 She Really Lost It

The wind caressed the grass gently like the touch of silk on the skin. The sky was bright with themorning sun, not too harsh but not too cold either. It was a perfect day in the Deity Unicorn Valley. It was a complete contrast to the palpable tension that escalated by the minute in the CrimsonDragon Army's camp.

Inside the temporarily-built beast stable, Lance paced restlessly. He looked anxiously at Silver Windwhose injuries were gradually getting worse since it arrived. Its health deteriorated in every breath ittook while the beast curer of the army was too dim-witted to heal it.

"Where are the beast curers of the main camp? Shouldn't they have arrived by now?" Lance askedthe guard furiously as he passed that corner of the stable for probably the fiftieth time on that day."They are on the way," the guard answered hesitantly. He cowered away from Lance's restlessmovements, afraid he would anger him if he gave the same answer to his repetitive questions.Lance didn't notice his guard's reactions, of course. He was too preoccupied with Silver Wind'scondition, worried it could die at any moment. It was his daughter's beloved spirit-manipulatedbeast. His daughter's condition was already grim; if something happened to her precious beast, itcould be detrimental to her. The last thing he wanted for her was to suffer more.

Soon, a commotion sounded from outside. Three people were rushed in, escorted by severalguards. Before the guard even announced their presence, he was on his feet.

"Commander in Chief, the three beast curers of the main camp have arrived.”

"Commander in Chief..." The three beast curers went to Lance and bowed in homage.

"Enough of this courtesy. Go and check the injuries of Silver Wind,” Lance immediately orderedthem.

The three beast curers surrounded the dying Silver Wind and scrutinized its injuries. They looked ateach other and shook their heads in resignation. However, they all looked reluctant to tell Lancetheir diagnosis.

"How is it?" Lance asked. He glared at the three beast curers who were as useful as a bag of rocksThey were just standing around when he expected them to be healing Silver Wind.

"Commander in Chief, all the organs of Silver Wind have been damaged. Its heart, its arteries, andits veins have all been torn into tiny fragments. I'm afraid..." One of the curers started talking buttrailed off as Lance's face darkened with every word he uttered.

He glared at the useless curers until they could not help but fidget in their places. He didn't expectanything from the three beast curers and their poor medical skills. He needed Sheridan to saveSilver Wind but he was in the camp in Evian City. It would take him at least two days to come butSilver Wind would probably be dead by then.

"Do what you must to keep it alive. Or else!" Lance pinned them with a stern glare. He hoped hecould scare them to produce good results and thus, good news.

The three beast curers managed to nod before they scurried away. He would follow them and glareat them for all the hours it took if he thought that would produce better results. However, hestopped short when a soldier called his attention.

"Commander in Chief, Deputy Commander in Chief has awakened.”

"She has awakened?" Lance's eyes widened at the news. His anger was promptly forgotten as hehastily went to see his precious daughter.

In one of the tents, Isis was half-sitting on the bed. The coma she had been under for the past twodays left her pale and weak since she hadn't eaten anything yet.

"Come on, Commander, you have to eat something," the female guard urged. She had brought insome food for her earlier and had been intermittently urging her to eat since she woke up.

"No, thanks. I have no appetite. Where is my father?" Isis asked softly as she waved her handdismissively.

"Isis!" Lance exclaimed as he rushed into the tent and by her daughter's side in one fell swoop. Hiseyes were bright as she clutched her close to him, comforted by the sound of her breathing.

"I'm sorry, I made you worry, father," Isis apologized quietly. She looked down, unable to meet hiseyes. She knew that she made everyone worry.

"It's good to see you awake," Lance said. He leaned away from his daughter to stare lovingly at herface and gathered one of her hands to him. He was greatly comforted by the repetitive thump ofher pulse.

"Where is Rocky? I want to see him..." Isis asked hesitantly.

"Rocky? I have relegated him to the logistics camp,” Lance shouted as he burst in anger."Relegated him to the logistics camp? Why?" Isis asked with surprise. She stared at his obviousanger, confused.

"Do you remember what happened before you passed out?" Lance asked tentatively. Of course, hehoped that she didn't remember what had happened. That way, he could punish Rocky after heconfirmed Rocky's crime.

"Before I passed out..." Isis whispered to herself. She looked back and thought of the extremelyembarrassing scene before she lost her consciousness. An embarrassed flush painted her face pinkbut she brightened from the pleasant memory.

"Isis?" Lance asked, puzzled by his daughter's pleased expression.

"Yes, I do." Isis smiled brightly. Lance was stunned to see her in such high spirits but he composedhimself quickly.

He looked at the female guard that was standing guard and motioned for her to leave.Immediately, the female guard left without any questions asked.

"Isis, is he the one that slept with you? I know you are sad. It doesn't matter. I won't let anyone elsereplace out. I'm going to torment him myself. Even though I can't kill him, I'll make sure he will hold histongue forever,” Lance promised with a determined gleam in his eyes. His daughter was a strongwarrior but she was still a fragile flower in his eyes.

"Father, you know that Rocky and I have already..." Isis trailed off as she realized that her father hadalready found out what transpired between Rocky and her. "Why was Rocky relegated to thelogistics camp?’ she thought in puzzlement. She did sleep with Rocky but it was only thanks to himthat she survived. Surely, there was no reason for her father to send him away.

"So, it was really him! I'll send someone to take him back now!" Lance shouted angrily.

"Father, what are you doing? Yes, Rocky did something but he had to do that to save my life. Were itnot for him, I would have died. Didn't he tell you?" Isis asked in confusion. Rocky had saved her andyet her father was acting as if he had disgraced her. However, she didn't know that Rocky didn't tellher father what truly happened back then.

"What? He... he saved you?" Lance stuttered in surprise.

"Yes, he did that to save me. Besides, I did it voluntarily, so it's not his fault. Timber Deity Empirewould have captured me if he hadn't arrived on Mount Clouds in time. He saved me," Isis explained. She wondered what her father knew already and what she could tell him.

"What happened when you were on Mount Clouds?" Lance was starting to realize that he had madea mistake. He was beginning to see that he did not know the whole story and he had judged Rockyprematurely.

Isis patiently told him the whole story. She told him how the Timber Deity Empire used Rocky toseduce her and then used her as a bait to lure Rocky out until he was tricked into joining the TimberDeity Empire. Rocky pretended to join the Timber Deity Empire to save her without any hesitation,no matter what the cost. She explained that the reason that Rocky slept with her was that she waspoisoned by the aphrodisiac powder. He could have left her and she would have died of her sexualdesire.

Lance felt more and more embarrassed as Isis told him the whole story. He thought that Rocky haddone something unforgivable to his daughter, but it turned out that Rocky had actually saved hisdaughter. His daughter lost her reputation but, more importantly, she was alive. His daughter didn'teven blame Rocky, instead, she saw him as her savior. Despite all that, Rocky never protested. Hekept his peace even when he was sent back to the logistics camp and even when the CrimsonDragon Token was taken from him.
