Rocky's face darkened at the realization that his power was no match for this.

"Run!" Sabina shouted at Rocky. She predicted that the outcome wouldn't be in their favor. Theirtop priority now was to stay alive.

Out of nowhere, a green light burst out of the skull's mouth. An intimidating spiritual powerappeared before them. It looked as though it was about to swallow both of them whole.

Realizing that there was no time to dodge the attack, Sabina unexpectedly stood in front of Rockyalongside Duchess Silver with arms wide open. Gathering her spiritual power, she quickly formed alarge and thick wall of ice in front of her.

However, the seemingly sturdy fortress of ice was easily devoured by the green light and continuedto spread rapidly towards Sabina and Duchess Silver.

"Go!" Sabina quickly turned around and urged Rocky to hurry up. The summoning of the ice wallutilized all of her spiritual power, and her delicate face was bloodless. Knowing that she had reachedher limit, she knew she couldn't defeat this power on her own.

Rocky wouldn't back down so easily, nor would he run away alone. Suddenly, a black glow burnedall over his body like a blazing flame.

Known as the Evil Flame, this was produced by the fusion of evil spiritual power and the spiritualpower of Fire nature. Once Sabina’s ice wall disintegrated, the Evil Flame gushed forward like a blacktorrent and crashed with the approaching skull and its green light.

Instantly, the entire sky was filled with blinding, dazzling light.

Unfortunately, that didn't hold on too long either. The green light devoured the Evil Flame withease. It had now extended itself to cover more than a dozen meters around them.

"Hell awaits you!" The Dark Lord cackled with a sinister smile as he noticed Rocky growing weakerand on the verge of death.

It looked as though all hope of surviving the green light was lost for Rocky, Sabina, and their spirit-manipulated beasts.

As they hanged on to the thread, a current of cherry blossoms flew in like a storm from the forestbeneath Rocky. The current spun into a tornado and engulfed Rocky, Sabina, and their spirit-manipulated beasts in the blink of an eye.

The green light then enveloped them all along with the cherry blossoms as well.

What followed was that all that had been devoured by the green light withered and died. The sightwas appalling and ghastly, to say the least.

The current of cherry blossoms burst out of the green light and into the air along with four familiarlooking shadows.

The Dark Lord was angered by this. He jumped up and cursed, "You taunting bitch! You've ruinedmy plan yet again!"

As he finished his rant, the cherry blossoms disappeared into the sky along with the four shadowsand left him to toil in his rage.

"You won't get away with this, brat. Ill replace you no matter where you are sooner or later.” The DarkLord proved to be very determined. On his order, the green light surged into a fainter ray of lightthat followed the current of cherry blossoms into the air.

Deep in the woods where the cherry blossoms first appeared, a butterfly shadow had beenobserving them from a distance. As soon as the Dark Lord chased the four shadows, it vanishedwithout a trace.

Rocky and Sabina stared in awe at the sight before them—a current of cherry blossoms that notonly surrounded and protected them but allowed them to fly at an incredible speed as well.

As they both looked at each other, they knew exactly who saved them.

"It seems as though the member of the spiritual race saved us again.” A normally aloof Sabinaconfirmed with a look of sympathy and gratitude.

Rocky nodded silently. This wasn't the first time Cherry saved him. In fact, he noticed that she wasalways there to save him just in time. Strange how she seemed to know exactly where to be as if shewas everywhere at once. He still couldn't wrap his head around why Cherry saved him so manytimes. She was the one who informed Rocky that the power of his Holy Dragon Bead was enough toallow him to own the Sea Blue Magic Jade. Also, she was the one who helped suppress the evilspiritual power within him when it was out of control.

Rocky had a strange feeling that she had arranged for all of this to happen. He felt that Cherry reallywanted him to retrieve the Sea Blue Magic Jade. Otherwise, she wouldn't have been there to savehim from the Dark Lord once more.

"What does she want?" Rocky knew that nothing in this world came without a price. A spiritual racemaster of Cherry's caliber had no valid reason to save a nobody like him constantly.

But no matter how much he thought, he couldn't come up with any explanation.

"What's wrong?" Sabina asked him as she noticed that Rocky's brows were furrowed and he was lostdeep in thought.

"Nothing. It's fine." Rocky shook his head, coming back to his senses. Coming up with validexplanations for Cherry's rescues would have to wait. Right now, they needed to focus on returningto Evian City.

The cherry blossoms that protected them slowly but surely began to gradually scatter anddisappear.

At full speed, Rocky and Sabina flew on Uriah and Duchess Silver at full speed towards Evian City. Itwould take them at least a day and a night to get there from the Myriad Beasts Ground. On top ofthat, the Timber Deity Empire's thirty thousand troops had already broken through three passes twodays ago and were heading in the same direction as well.

It was too late for them to get to Evian City before the Timber Deity Empire attacked.

Within Evian City, the Crimson Dragon Group headquarters was in chaos. All of them were full ofpanic seeing Lance absent and the Timber Deity Empire troops drawing closer.

At the moment, ten commanders were sitting on either side of the headquarters’ meeting room.Among those ten commanders were those who Lance covered and saved, and the EliteCommanders and Frontline Commanders, who had been guarding the headquarters, and Marin whodidn't replace Rocky in the logistics camp and returned to Evian City first.

Upon Marin's arrival at the city, she learned that Lance and a few other commanders had beenblocked by the Timber Deity Empire troops led by Alyssa as they were leaving the Deity UnicornValley. Lance held off Alyssa and her troops on his own so that the other commanders would becovered.

It was worrying that no news had been sent from the Deity Unicorn Valley regarding Lance. Theycouldn't confirm if he would be able to return to Evian City before the Timber Deity Empire's thirtythousand soldiers attacked the city.

No wonder all the commanders present appeared worried and anxious.
