"That's to say, Commander Rocky is willing to command the Evian City's troops. But why did heleave so suddenly?" Commander Wang asked, confused and surprised.

This left all the commanders even more baffled than they already were. They had no idea whatRocky was thinking. Since Sabina was carefully following the battle strategy he had laid out, Rockystill commanded the Evian City's troops after all. Whether Rocky or Sabina gave the orders, it didn'tmatter.

Marin, on the other hand, still wasn't quite sure what was going on. Although Rocky left without atrace, Sabina insisted that Rocky had left them with a battle plan for the Evian City's soldiers.Although it angered Marin because he never showed an ounce of care for the city, her rage hadnow dissipated.

"What the hell is he doing? This is so unlike him,” Marin said as she pursed her lips together."Listen carefully. Here's the plan,” Sabina announced as she gave the commanders a cold, assuredglance. She continued, "Once the Timber Deity Empire begins its attack, Commander Wang will leadtwo thousand troops to the south gate to fight. The other areas won't require any defending. Youand your troops just need to lead the majority of the enemy soldiers to that specific location.

As for the other three Elite Commanders, they'll be leading two thousand soldiers who'll be waitingat that spot. Once the time comes, those soldiers in hiding will regroup with Commander Wang'stroops and attack our enemies,” Sabina explained to them all in detail.

"We are greatly outnumbered by our enemy. It might be a good idea to separate them by leadingthem off in separate groups for our ambush. However, if they are on the alert, they might take theopportunity to besiege us once they get inside the Evian City. By then we will be trapped and willnot stand a chance," retorted Commander Li, one of the Elite Commanders.

Some of the commanders nodded in agreement.

"Once we lure the enemy troops to the designated position, we'll proceed to blow up the southgate wall," Sabina continued calmly.

"Bomb the city wall?" This shocked all the commanders. The city wall was built to not only defendthe city from enemy invasions but to serve as a vantage point, an additional advantage for theirtroops. Destroying it would mean that the city and its troops would become more vulnerable toattacks. The Evian City would be conquered by the Timber Deity Empire's troops in no time.

"Is Rocky insane? That wall serves as a barrier from the Timber Deity Empire troops—one of ourmeans of protection. Demolishing it would spell victory for the Timber Deity Empire and defeat forus," Commander Lin, one of the Elite Commanders, shouted in protest as he jumped off of his seat.He was a highly experienced commander who successfully defended the Crimson Dragon Groupand Evian City multiple times before. In all his years as a commander, he had never heard one planas foolish as this. To him, it was no different than surrendering.

"This battle plan is indeed a bit odd...” Commander Wang added in a more polite tone.

The rest of the commanders agreed that this was akin to them digging their own graves. Rockylooked like a maniac to them at this point.

"Yes. Once the city wall is destroyed, we will be more prone to the enemy's attacks. However, thecity wall will still be occupied by the enemy in less than two hours regardless of whether the wallstands or not. You all know this very well, don't you?" Sabina answered the commanders with a coldgaze.

Her words left the commanders speechless. They admitted that the troops within Evian City wereincapable of guarding the city wall

"On the contrary, if we bomb the city wall, we can temporarily block the enemy troops’ entranceinto the Evian City. This will cause the troops trapped within the city wall to panic and allow us toseize the opportunity of executing an ambush. If successful, we'll be able to cut down their energyand resources effectively,” Sabina explained to them once more.

"Even so, we won't be able to guard the Evian City. Those troops would still easily outnumber ourown and attack the city. It's too risky..."

"I agree. There are too many lives involved and we have too little resources. It will be impossible towin with this strategy.”

"What does Rocky intend to do anyway? He barely cared for the Evian City before. Why would hecare now? This all might be a trap!"

Immediately, the commanders began to murmur and discuss the reliability of the plan.

"Don't be so quick to judge. Sabina hasn't even finished explaining the whole strategy yet!" Marinexclaimed above the noise and stood up.

"Correct, Marin. I have only explained the first step of the plan Rocky has come up with," Sabinareiterated.

"The first step?” All the commanders focused their attention back to Sabina.

"Yes. Now, as I was saying, the second step will be as follows. Fetch me a topographic map of EvianCity," Sabina ordered.

Soon, a detailed map of Evian City was handed over and laid out before her.

"Once the first step is completed, we move on to this—step two. We will make use of the EvianCity's terrain. Its winding alleys and paths will be advantageous once we lay down traps common inguerilla warfare. These will serve to slow the enemy down." Pointing at the map, Sabina added,"Tonight, we will be arranging various traps in the streets and alleys nearest the south gate. I willleave Commander Marin in charge of this.”

"Right away.” Upon hearing this, Marin nodded in approval. She was the first to leave the room.
