On the other side, after they threw off the army of Holy Sea Empire, Rocky and Isis arrived at a hilloutside of Mont City as fast as they could. It was a good place for an ambush. The terrain, thesparse woods and its rocky land-form would help then be concealed before they launched anattack.

When they arrived, Rocky found the rest of Crimson Dragon Army. The group was under thecommand of Fleming. The warriors were concealed around the dense terrain and were ready toattack.

"Commander in Chief! Deputy Commander in Chief!" as soon as he saw Rocky and Isis, Flemingimmediately greeted them with a respectful tone.

"How many soldiers do you still have here?" Rocky asked with authority.

"Less than three thousand," Fleming replied.

Rocky's eyes widened in shock. Such a small force could not defeat the army of Holy Sea Empirethat chased after them. Additionally, there might even be other forces of Holy Sea Empire thatwould join the fray.

"Even if we ambush, I don't think we can repel them. If we fail to repulse them on our attack, thenthe situation would be more disadvantageous for us," Isis said with a worried tone.

"Then, where are the civilians who have already retreated?" Rocky understood exactly what Isis said.After he thought for a while, Rocky immediately raised his head and asked the whereabouts of theothers.

"They're just down that hill, over there.” Fleming pointed at a hill not far away from the camp."Commander Fleming, cooperate with Deputy Commander in Chief and continue the preparationsfor the ambush. We need to deflect back the attackers. The troops of Holy Sea Empire will comesoon. Only when we beat them can we retreat safely," Rocky ordered Fleming. Afterwards, he gaveIsis a glance.

"I'll be fine. Just go ahead and do what you need to do." Isis had already guessed what Rocky wasgoing to do. As such, she replied knowingly.

Then Rocky turned around and immediately walked towards the hill. Soon, his figure receded in thedistance.

"We have no chance of winning with the current amount of forces that we have. Therefore, we haveto strengthen our forces," Isis replied with a calm tone.

"Strengthen our forces? But how can we strengthen our forces? We clearly have only these soldiersavailable.” Confusion became apparent in Fleming's expression.

"We need to do a temporary recruitment!" Isis said as her eyes narrowed.

"Temporary recruitment? What do you mean? Is Commander in Chief planning to recruit from thosewho have just retreated? They are just common people! It's impossible. Those people are cowardsand pathetic. They haven't been even trained before. Moreover, they probably have a lot ofresentment against our Crimson Dragon Army..." After he realized what Rocky was going to do,Fleming felt worried. Moreover, he feared that such means could not solve the current crisis.

"He must have his own plan. I've come to realize that he is a person who can make impossiblethings possible," Isis said confidently as she continued to have faith in Rocky.

"Honestly, Commander in Chief is really young! And now, he is already the Commander in Chief ofCrimson Dragon Group. Is he really the Savior as it's said? Can he really be glorious against all odds?I heard that in the battle of Evian City, with his great skills, he demolished the enemy even thoughthey have twice forces..." "Just watch him. You'll see how awesome he is very soon.” With loyal eyes, Isis smiled as she lookedforward to Rocky's plan.

On the other side, Rocky had finally arrived at the hill. There were about 4000 common people ofMont City. Half of the group were women and children. Some of them were sitting, some werestanding, while some were lying. They all looked terrified as they trembled. It was as if they were stillin the nightmarish war. There were also many people and some children who cried because they'dlost their families. The scenery was truly pitiful!

"I am the Commander in Chief of Crimson Dragon Army. Everyone, please listen to me. I havesomething important to tell you,” Rocky introduced himself with strong vigor and inborn charm.His loud announcement suddenly silenced the noisy crowd. They looked at him, startled, as if theywere all shocked by his impressive manner.

"I know you've just lost your homes and many of you have lost your families. I, too, am burdenedwith grief and sadness. However, the deceased are already gone, but you are still alive. Holy SeaEmpire's pursuing forces are on the way. The Crimson Dragon Army is there to stop them but itdoesn't have enough forces to fight. So, please, I hope some of you can step up and fight with us..."Rocky said with intense passion.

"What the hell! Crimson Dragon Army? You are just a group of bastards. You all fled and left us tosuffer by ourselves. We won't believe your vile mouth once again...”

"Humph! Don't try to butter us up. Do you really think we're that simple and stupid? We're notgoing to be your cannon fodder..."

"Aren't you guys supposed to protect us? Why should common people like us fight with you?"

"We just fled from there. A lot of our relatives have died and now you want us go back just to die!You ruthless bastard!"

However, Rocky's words just irritated the refugees. There were complaints and even vulgar abuse.The hatred in their hearts were because Crimson Dragon Army was then in a disarray and hadn'tprotected these people in retreat. Instead, the warriors deserted them. Therefore, these peoplecomplained a lot and they didn't believe in Crimson Dragon Army anymore.

Nonetheless, since he had expected such negative reactions, Rocky was still very calm. Even beforehe approached them, he already realized that it was not easy to persuade the crowd. However,because of lack of time, it seemed that he had to say some harsh words.

"Are you finished with your complaints?" Rocky suddenly shouted as he widened his eyes.

When they saw Rocky's expression, the people seemed to be scared. All of them shut upimmediately and fixated their eyes on him.

"You are right. The Crimson Dragon Army did something wrong this time. But do you really think it'stime to affix the responsibility? The Crimson Dragon Army can protect you. However, even if wepunish them now, you'll just complain more in the future! So, if you want to survive, stopcomplaining. Just think of your family members who are still alive. Think of your future! You are notfighting for Crimson Dragon Army, nor for Holy Dragon Empire, but for yourselves and for yourfamily members! Rockywas a very passionate speaker.
