"Are you really not afraid of death?" asked Rocky. He was disturbed by Woods' action, rather thelack of it, as he was about to kill him. Woods was strangely composed as though he had acceptedhis fate.

"The fear of death does not make me immune to it. So why not accept it as a part of life and diepeacefully?” Woods replied with a reassuring smile.

"Well, you at least resent me, curse me, haunt me till the end of my days. If it weren't for me, youwouldn't be here in the first place,” Rocky said, still confounded by Woods’ calmness. He knew whatAlston was planning. He was just a bait to lure Woods into the trap. Woods should have known thisas well. He should have hated Rocky for it, but still he didn't.

"Maybe I should hate you. But then again, if I didn't insist on catching you, things might not haveended like this. But who knows? There is no "if in this world. And what has happened is already inthe past. It's impossible to go back in time. Plus, you are doing this to save the person you care for.It's one life for another,” answered Woods in a tranquil tone.

"If I don't die, I owe you my life," said Rocky. He then stretched his hand into his arms as his spiritualpower began to rise. He made his way to Woods.

The faces of Woods' three bodyguards changed when they saw this. They wanted to rush forward inorder to save him, but they were tightly surrounded by their opponents. All they could do waswatch helplessly.

Just as Rocky was in front of Woods, he suddenly shouted and pulled out his hand from his arms.Strong waves of beast-like energy shrouded Woods, and a bright, dazzling light appeared out of hischest.

Blood spurted out of Woods' mouth as he howled in pain. He was sent flying backwards by amysterious force. He rolled on the ground for a few times due to the force of the impact beforestopping completely. There he lay still on the ground, as if he was dead.

"Your Royal Highness!" Woods’ bodyguards were in utter disbelief. They didn't expect Rocky wouldactually kill their master.

The black-robed spirit manipulator beside Alston immediately appeared next to Woods to check onhis pulse. He then nodded to Alston, signaling that Woods was indeed dead.

Alston burst into laughter and applauded upon seeing this. "Well done! Well done, Rocky! Yousurely have made an invaluable contribution to the Holy Dragon Empire! If our father knew of whatyou've done, he will surely be happy. But unfortunately, he doesn't know you are Basil. What a pity,ha-ha!"

After attacking Woods, Rocky immediately turned around and started to rush towards Sue. He knewthat Alston would never let anyone who saw his true colors live. So Sue's life was on the line.

"Mr. Bai..." Sue subconsciously rushed to Rocky as well.

In the blink of an eye, Rocky held Sue in his arms. He gathered his spiritual power to open the MagicSpiritual Space so that he could leave with Sue with the help of the Rainbow Glow Unicorn's abilityto become invisible.

As this was happening, the air around Alston suddenly turned cold. A curve appeared on the edgeof his lips forming an eerie smile. A black figure teleported behind Rocky, hitting him with a rush ofstrong spiritual power.

As Rocky was busy opening the Magic Spiritual Space, he couldn't dodge on time.

"Mr. Bai, watch out!" Sue, who was in Rocky's arms the whole time, saw the black figure approachinghim. She immediately pushed him away and stood in front of the figure.

"Don't! Sue, you must stay safe...” Rocky roared and his voice filled the quiet space of the forest andreached into the sky.

"Mr. Bai..." Sue dropped into Rocky's arms again and called out his name for the last time. She thenclosed her eyes and sank into his arms.

"Sue!" With his eyes bloodshot, Rocky was in an utter loss. He could not believe what hadhappened. How could Sue die just like that?

"Oh my! How touching! I'm almost moved to tears. But this is just the beginning. I'll torture you tillyou beg me to put an end to your miserable life." Alston laughed out loud as he watched whathappened. He drew every pleasure imaginable from the look on Rocky's face. He was almosteuphoric. Alston couldn't help but wait to turn Rocky's life into a living hell.

Rocky's heart seemed to stop. In fact, everything around him seemed to do so. He felt his bodyfreeze as the scene of Sue's death kept playing on his mind over and over again as if it were on aloop.

"Alston! I'll make sure to drag you with me to the pits of hell!" Rocky's eyes turned colder than ice ashis will spoke nothing except the death of Alston. Fury and anger burned inside him, giving life tohis frozen body.

"You? Kill me? Ha-ha! You must be joking!" Alston didn't falter at the threat made by Rocky.

"Hey, foodie! You're not my spirit-manipulated beast yet. I don't want you to get caught up in thisbattle. If I die, then you'll be set free. You're grown up now, and you can take care of yourself,”Rocky said to the Rainbow Glow Unicorn. After he was done speaking, he forcefully closed theMagic Spiritual Space. Although he knew its ability would be somewhat of use during a fight, heknew that the battle did not favor him. The chances of him surviving the battle against a spiritmanipulator at the Supernal Stage and five at the Heavenly Stage were slim to none.

At the same time, Alston's four spirit manipulators at the Heavenly Stage rushed to Rocky aftergetting rid of Woods’ three bodyguards.

"You have two spirit-manipulated beasts? It turns out the rumor is true, but so what? I'll let my menplay with you first," Alston sneered. He then turned to the four spirit manipulators and gave them alook with his eyes. "Just beat him half to death. His life will be left at the hands of Alyssa.”
