Several beast curers including Harry were stunned when they heard the question. It was soobviously beyond the scope of the examination. Even the disciples of the Xiao Clan weren'texpected to know the answer, not to mention Rocky who wasn't even a veterinarian.

The interviewees around them also felt that it was no normal test as this question was too difficultand noisily clamored together.

"Come on, Rookie... you can do it," said Juey. She could tell that Mary was obviously making thingsdifficult for Rocky and it was almost impossible for him to answer the question. However, despiteher worry, she was looking forward to seeing him create a miracle again.

Not a single word left Rocky after he heard the question.

A smug smile crossed Mary's face when she saw Rocky's expression. A poor and self-righteous manlike Rocky could never win against her.

While everyone thought that Rocky wouldn't be able to answer the question, someone burst intolaughter. It was no other than Rocky, who had been standing there in silence for a while. Laughterspilled out of him as if he was going insane.

Everyone else could only stare in confusion.

"Don't play dumb. If you can't answer my question then get out of here. Don't disgrace my family,"Mary spat out. For her, it was clear that Rocky couldn't answer the question and was playing the foolto buy time.

"Miss Mary, you misunderstood me. I laughed not because I don't know the answer, but becausethe answer is... It's too easy." Rocky's words stunned everyone who heard him.

A moment of silence filled the interview area as everyone, including Mary, Harry, and the otherbeast curers, were stunned silly by Rocky's words.

"What did you say? It's... it's easy?!" Mary's eyes popped wide open at Rocky's bluntness.

"Yeah, it's really easy.” Rocky nodded calmly with a straight face.

"You're lying! Even the disciples of our Xiao Clan can't answer it. It's impossible for you to know theanswer.” Mary impatiently tapped her foot on the ground. She didn't believe Rocky could give herthe answer. That kind of spirit-manipulated beast was rare, so ordinary people had never seen itbefore. Even if they did, it was impossible for them to know anything about it.

When Mary finished her words, thunder echoed around them, and made her jump in surprise.Everyone was also startled.

"It seems that God believes me.” Rocky looked down at Mary as his lips pulled into an evil smile.When she heard his words, Mary's temper burned even hotter but she quickly reined herself in. "Ifyou know the answer, just tell us. Don't stall for time."

"The spirit-manipulated beast you mentioned is called the Fire-Cold Cicada," Rocky easily repliedwith a smug smile.

"How did you know?" Mary gaped at him. It was beyond any of her expectations that Rocky couldknow the name, much less when it's about a very rare spirit-manipulated beast.

"There's a Fire-Cold Cicada habitat in my hometown so I know of it.” The lie rolled easily off Rocky'stongue. In truth, he'd never seen one before except for a detailed record about it in the BeastEncyclopedia. When Mary asked him the question, that's how he knew the answer.

"So what? You haven't answered my question yet,” Mary grumbled, her face darkened. "I told you.The answer's simple. Its body structure is opposite to that of a normal spirit-manipulated beast.

Its vital energy and blood go in the opposite direction. In winter, it absorbs lots of cold air which willbe released in summer. And in summer, it absorbs a lot of hot air and releases it in winter. Simplyput, it's like an air-conditioner which can adjust the temperature of its living environment," Rockycalmly recited.

Even Mary was completely stunned and could only stare at Rocky as if he was a monster. She didn'tbelieve that in coincidences and yet, Rocky did give her a complete answer.

"Not only could he answer it, he also gave an accurate explanation.” Even Harry and several beastcurers nodded in acceptance.

"Rookie, you're so awesome!" Juey cheered and gave him a grin full of happiness.

Interviewees outside the interview area also began to applaud as if Rocky won on their behalf.However, Mary's face turned even darker. "Miss Mary, can he pass the second test?" Harry asked"Humph. There's still the third test, isn't there?” Mary grouched.

"But you told me that as long as he could answer your last question, he'd be accepted as a discipleof the Xiao Clan. Besides, he's not a spirit manipulator. It's unlikely that he'll pass the third test,”Harry couldn't help but argue.

"Miss Mary, a promise is a promise. Do you want to go back on your word in front of us?" Rocky'sgrin was wicked as if he gained the upper hand against Mary.

Even the other interviewees began to hoot as the situation devolved into chaos.

"Miss Mary..." Harry called out firmly. If she went back on her word, the Xiao Clan's reputation wouldbe damaged. After all, they were recruiting disciples, not simply making things difficult for theirinterviewees.

"Today's your lucky day. Just you wait. You'll regret this soon,” Mary whispered lowly to Rockybefore she turned on her heel and left.

"You passed the test. From now on, you're a disciple of the Xiao Clan. Did you learn any medicalskills before? If you haven't, how could you identify nearly twenty kinds of medicinal herbs?" Harrycuriously asked.

"I know because my grandfather grew medicinal herbs." Rocky calmly spouted out another lie.

"I see. You have talent and basic knowledge. Work hard.” Harry happily patted his shoulder.

When the interview commenced once again, Rocky walked out of the interview area.

That was when Juey excitedly walked up to him.
