The guests that were gathered at the first-floor hall of the Magical Beast House along with thosewho had just entered the gate heard the loud cry as well. With their attention caught, they allstarted flocking towards the third floor. Rocky found himself trapped in the sea of people that weremaking their way towards the third floor. He couldn't summon his spiritual power without causing ascene in front of so many witnesses. Thus, he decided to blend into the crowd for now.

The third-floor auction house was full to the brim with countless people.

From the front of the dense crowd came a voice that scolded, "You, the Magical Beast House, dareto auction the poisonous pill that killed my spirit-manipulated beast! How dare you! My beast hadcost me ten thousand taels of silver coins, and yet it was poisoned by that pill. Before him laid the dead body of a spirit-manipulated beast, its mouth covered withwhite foam and with purple splotches all over its skin. It looked as though it had been poisoned.Beside the spirit-manipulated beast's carcass hovered a tall, thin, and aggressive-looking spiritmanipulator who was flanked on either side by two other spirit manipulators. After assessing them,Rocky got the impression that they wouldn't be a threat.

"What pill did this gentleman buy?" Willie immediately inquired with the staff that led the auction."It's the Ethereal Spirit Pill of our Magical Beast House." The staff immediately took out the lastEthereal Spirit Pill from a box and handed it to Willie.

"We only hand out three Ethereal Spirit Pills per month. We sold one just a few days ago. Nothing'swrong with the pills we've sold!" Willie exclaimed with a confused expression as he gazed at theEthereal Spirit Pill in his hand.

"Butler Willie, you're not implying that I was the one who poisoned my beast, are you? I can call onmany witnesses in this room who saw my spirit-manipulated beast foam at the mouth and dropdead all because of your shitty pill!" the man yelled in anger.

Many of those witnesses nodded their heads in agreement, proving that the furious man was tellingthe truth.

Willie's face darkened as he saw this. This would jeopardize the Magical Beast House's reputation ifit got out of hand. He needed to investigate the matter as fast as he could. The compensation wasnot a big deal, but what mattered was the Magical Beast House's reputation.

"Alright. I'll call our beast curers to come and have a look. If what you say is true, then we willprovide you with an answer,” Willie said as calmly as possible. Now he needed to figure out how tocalm down the other guests as well.

He sent for a servant to summon Harry and other beast curers of the Xiao Clan as well as informMary.

Soon, Harry and the other beast curers rushed to the auction house on the third floor.

"Master Harry, you're finally here.” Willie hurried towards the group of beast curers and gave themall the details of what had just happened

The beast curers were left confused. The Ethereal Spirit Pills were made exclusively by the Xiao Clanwith a confidential refining process that produced nothing less than high quality. What went wrongwith this pill? How could they have produced a pill that poisoned a spirit-manipulated beast?

Harry and the other beast curers began to examine the beast body to come up with a diagnosis.After a thorough examination, they concluded that although the beast appeared to have beenpoisoned, there was no evidence of a reaction to the poison within its body. This meant that thebeast wasn't actually poisoned but only shared similar symptoms. In the end, there was no clearcause of its death.

This was a first for Harry and the other beast curers, and they were at a loss for words. This led themto doubt the quality of the Ethereal Spirit Pill they sold.

The enraged man from earlier then approached them and said, "Don't dawdle. If none of you arecapable of figuring out what happened to my beast, then tell the Xiao Clan Chief I'd like him toexplain this to me in person.”

"Sir, our Chief has been out for days. He hasn't returned yet,” Willie answered quickly.

"Then your Chief is a coward!" sneered one of the two men standing behind the angry client."Brother, don't talk nonsense with them. We have so many witnesses. If the Magical Beast Housedoesn't give us a reasonable explanation, then we'll have no problem spreading this news to theentire Barren City tomorrow," the other man said.

This made Willie livid with rage. All he could do was hope that any second now, Mary would cometo help them.

At this moment, someone shouted from outside the auction house, "Miss Xiao is here!"

Upon hearing this, Willie felt a momentary relief. However, when a young woman appeared as thecrowd dispersed, Willie could feel the knot in his stomach tying itself up again.

"Miss Juey? What are you doing here? Where's Miss Mary?" Willie asked her immediately.

"She went to purchase goods and hasn't come back yet. I heard that there was something wrongwith the auction house, so I came here first," replied Juey.

“We're doomed!" Willie thought. Both the Xiao Clan Chief and the young master were gone whileMary went to purchase goods. Even if Juey was here, she didn't possess any Beast Curing Skills at all.She couldn't provide the help they needed.

"What happened?" Juey asked.

"Miss Juey, even if I did tell you every detail, you wouldn't be able to help. I'm afraid only Miss Marycould solve a problem as huge as this one.” Willie shook his head as he realized the direness of thesituation they were in. He never thought of how his words might have made Juey felt.

"Alright," replied Juey, who didn't seem to be irritated.

At that moment, the three men noticed Juey. They approached her and asked, "Isn't the Xiao Clanfamous for their Beast Curing Skill? Being the Xiao Clan Chief's daughter, you surely must knowwhat the hell is going on.”

"I'm truly sorry, sir. I can't answer that. I don't possess any Beast Curing Skill," Juey apologized asshe gestured with the shake of her hands.

"You don't know the Beast Curing Skill? The daughter of the Xiao Clan Chief doesn't know the BeastCuring Skill? Unbelievable! Surely, as a representative of the Xiao Clan, you plan to fool us and thenpresent me with some form of compensation for my loss, right?" The man raised his voice. Itappeared he was trying to cause a scene.

The onlookers took notice and began to murmur among themselves. Was the pill truly the cause ofthe beast's death?

Rocky, who had been quietly lurking in the background, turned towards the pill that Willie stillclutched in his hand. After a few moments, he finally guessed what was going on.
