Chapter 808 Juey, Come With Me

The Cao Clan disciples ran away in a hurry, abandoning Conrad in Rocky's hands. Rocky lifted himup as Mary stood beside them, her heart fluttering in fear.

"Boss, please! Have mercy on me. It's all my fault! I failed to recognize you. I shouldn't haveoffended you. Please! Please forgive me! Spare me, I beg you. If you want, I can give this girl to youinstead,” Conrad pleaded with desperation. Fear flooded his eyes. He was genuinely afraid thatRocky would harm him. Conrad was surprised at Rocky's extraordinary strength even though helooked like an ordinary man.

Not far away, Raef and other Xiao Clan members heard the noise. They rushed out to see whathappened. They were shocked at the sight of Mary looking ravaged and Conrad being lifted into theair.

"Mary, are you okay?" Juey stepped forward to ask.

The rest of the Xiao Clan members turned to look at Rocky and Conrad.

"Is that who I think it is? Mr. Conrad? The only son of the hall leader Tod of the Cao Clan?" Raefgasped as soon as he recognized Conrad. He was also the cousin of Chief Lucilla, the current leaderof the Cao Clan. Conrad's father was the elder brother of Chief Lucilla's father. Raef looked at Rockywith horror. He knew Rocky shouldn't have messed with the Cao Clan. How dare he harm Conrad?If only Rocky wasn't affiliated with the Xiao Clan, then Raef could have easily turned a blind eye. Buthe knew that Rocky's actions would also harm the entire clan. The Xiao Clan would becompromised.

With that in mind, Raef stepped forward and called out to Rocky. "Mr. Rookie, please put himdown!" he ordered. "We can't hurt him! Don't put the Xiao Clan in big trouble!"

"Raef, is he your man? How dare he be so rude to me! If I tell my father, the Xiao Clan will bedoomed!" Conrad could tell that Rocky was from the Xiao Clan just by how worried Raef was.Immediately, he found his exit. Since pleading did not work, he chose the route of intimidation."Mr. Conrad, this young man isn't really a member of the Xiao Clan." Raef tried to distance himselffrom Rocky but couldn't figure out how.

"Damn Rookie! Just free Mr. Conrad now!" Travis added. Travis hated Rocky to death. Since Rockyappeared, the Xiao Clan had not seen peace. There were troubles each day. He once even made themistake of hurting Travis. And now with Rocky going against Conrad, Travis knew they were in formore troubles. For Travis, Rocky had the intention to destroy their clan.

Travis was Raef's adopted son. He knew that this gave him very little influence in the Xiao Clan.There was no chance that he would take control in the future. He was used to the feeling ofhumiliation. But with him qualifying for the upcoming Beast Master Contest, he had earned aplatform. He thought that once he made a great success in the contest, he could draw the supportof the Cao Clan. In this way, he would get the chance to be the head of the Xiao Clan. Therefore, thecontest meant a lot to him.

However, Rocky kept on causing them troubles. A few more of those and the Xiao Clan might getdisqualified from the contest. If that happened, Travis’ plan would be ruined. He had to make surethat it wouldn't happen.

He had the contest in mind when he stood to stop Rocky. But when he saw Rocky flashed a piercinggaze at him, he stopped himself. He suddenly remembered the feeling of being thrown out byRocky from before. He didn't want to experience it again.

Rocky turned to Raef. "Chief Raef, he was forcing himself on your daughter. Do you still think Ishould let this son of bitch go?"

"What?" Raef was horrified. He looked at Mary, her clothes torn in places, and he realized that it wasConrad who had caused her pain. But he did not want to offend Conrad. He took a deep breath andswallowed his pride and anger instead.

"Mr. Rookie, I'm just trying to avoid any more troubles. Perhaps this was all a misunderstanding?”Raef tried his best to downplay the situation.

"Piss off! Don't show your face in front of me again,” Rocky sneered as he threw Conrad to theground. He didn't even exert that much strength yet he sent Conrad leaping across the air andfalling down a few distance away from them. Conrad screamed.

The Xiao Clan members stood aghast. Rocky threw Conrad like a pebble. He must have hadextraordinary strength.

"You bastard! I won't let this go easily!" Conrad winced in pain and got to his feet. He shoutedcurses at Rocky but when his eyes met Rocky's cold gaze, he trembled with fear and ran away.

Raef refused to accept Rocky's actions. He feared Conrad's threats. He did not want the Xiao Clan togo through hell again. He knew that they were already experiencing a lot of troubles, and thatRocky had something to do with it. He clenched his fists and bottled up a grudge inside him.

"Juey, will you come with me?" Rocky asked Juey. He then turned back to look at Mary. She lookedawfully distressed.

Juey hesitated as she knew Mary was the one who needed her more. She must have beenfrightened. Juey looked at Rocky and said, "I'll follow you later, Mr. Rookie.” She had decided toattend to Mary first.

Rocky nodded and proceeded to leave.

Mary stared at Rocky as he walked away. She never thought she'd be saved by the man she loathed.She knew he must have done it for Juey's sake. But she also acknowledged that if it wasn't for him,she would have been in deep trouble.

"Mary, are you okay?" Raef ran towards her with his eyes full of concern.

"I'm tired. Accompany me to my room, Juey." Mary cast an indifferent glance at her father. Shefinally shared Juey's feeling when their father just stood by and watched her be threatened byQueenie. But she also understood why her father could not stand up for her. They could not affordto offend Conrad. Her father was just trying to protect the entire clan. She shrugged it off insteadand asked Juey to walk her back to her room.
