When Alyssa finished speaking, she walked straight ahead and brushed past Rocky. Seeing that heremained frozen in place, she urged, "Let's go. What are you waiting for? If you don't come, I'll justgo without you." Then, she turned around and continued walking.

'Why do women always say one thing and mean another?" Rocky wondered, shaking his head with abitter smile as he watched Alyssa's back. It would save him a lot of trouble if he could heal hiswounds with Alyssa, and he had been hoping that she would have the same line of thought.

He knew that Alyssa already knew a lot of his secrets, so she might “torture” him to replace out more,but he still followed her because he needed to confirm a few things.

At dawn the next day...

In the Qi Clan's mansion, many people had stayed up all night because Alyssa had suddenly takenRocky away and hadn't returned. Needless to say, a lot of rumors would spring up about the two ofthem if they didn't come back soon.

Besides, the final result of the competition had not been announced by Alyssa yet, so the winner ofthe Beast Master Contest was still uncertain, and no one knew who would win.

In the wing house where members of the Cao Clan lived, Woods and the members of the Cao Clanhad also stayed up the whole night, waiting for Alyssa and Rocky to return. Their disappearance hadput all of them on edge.

"Your Royal Highness, why haven't Mr. Rookie and Her Royal Highness come back yet? Could theybe in trouble?" Lucilla asked worriedly. As the chief of the Cao Clan, she was the most concernedabout their disappearance. After all, to the Cao Clan, Rocky was like a priceless treasure. Even if theCao Clan did end up losing the Beast Master Contest, it would not be a bad thing for them, sincethey had gotten this chance to replace out about Rocky's hidden talents and abilities.

Woods shook his head, frowning. He also had a feeling that something was wrong. He knew that nomatter how much his sister and Rocky had to talk about, they couldn't possibly talk all night long.What was more, his sister was so decisive that she would have either just killed Rocky or let himcome back after a while of talking to him. She would never have stayed out all night of her ownaccord. Hence, he felt that something was wrong.

"How about sending people to look for them?" Lucas started to fidget with his hands. He was sodistressed that the white wisps of hair on his chin had almost fallen off.

"I'l go and look for them,” Queenie volunteered, jumping out of her seat impatiently. It was not thatshe actually cared about Rocky. But if something happened to him, she would not have the chanceto play with the flying spiritual beast anymore. Or at least, that was what she told herself. The truthwas, the fact that Rocky hadn't returned for a whole night had made her inexplicably agitated.

"I will go with you," Juey said immediately.

"Don't worry. My sister knows what she is doing,” Woods said immediately. Although he wassecretly worried about them as well, he didn't want the members of the Cao Clan to getunnecessarily worked up.

Just then, a disciple of the Qi Clan suddenly walked into the wing house.

"Your Royal Highness, our Chief invites you, the Chief of the Cao Clan, and Master Lucas to the fronthall," he said to Woods, cupping his hands respectfully.

"What's the matter?” Woods asked seriously.

"He didn't tell me. He just asked me to invite you there.” Woods narrowed his eyes suspiciously. Itseemed that the Qi Clan didn't want them to know what was going on. He turned to Lucilla andLucas to gauge their thoughts.

After hesitating for a while, he nodded and said, "Chief Lucilla and Master Lucas, please come withme." Then, he stood up and followed the disciple of the Qi Clan with Lucilla and Lucas trailingbehind him.

When the three of them arrived at the front hall of the Qi mansion, they saw that the members ofthe Qi Clan, including Alexander and Samson, the chiefs and beast masters of other big clans thathad taken part in the Beast Master Contest, a few royal members, and the five judges of the BeastMaster Contest were all in the hall.

"It turns out that there are so many people here,” Woods said calmly. He seemed to have guessedsomething.

Upon seeing Woods, all the people in the hall rose to their feet and saluted him

Woods waving his hand and walked ahead, led to his seat by Alexander. Meanwhile, Lucilla andLucas, like the others, took a side seat.

"Your Royal Highness, where is the princess?" Samson asked. After coming back and learning aboutthe whole matter, he had discussed with Alexander to replace a countermeasure last night. That waswhy, early in the morning, Alexander had invited Woods, Chiefs of all the clans that had participatedin the Beast Master Contest, and the judges here.

"I don't know," Woods said honestly, shaking his head.

"Has she given you any opinion on the final result of the beast curing competition?" Samsoncontinued to ask.

"No," Woods said after a moment's hesitation.

Upon hearing this, Samson shot Alexander a meaningful glance.

"Your Royal Highness, didn't the princess say that she would leave it up to you?" Alexanderimmediately asked.

"Well, she seemed to say so,” Woods replied, acting as if he was unsure. He knew that the Qi Clanwas eager to know the result since it was of great importance to them. If they won, they would beable to surpass the Cao Clan and become the largest clan in the Timber Deity Empire.

"So you will announce the final result?" Alexander continued.

"I've already told you that it will be announced when my sister returns,” Woods said impatiently. "Iknow.

But people all over the capital are talking about what happened yesterday. I think it's better if theresult was announced as soon as possible in order to avoid unnecessary suspicion and trouble.Don't you think so?" Samson asked.

"Master Samson is right. Since Her Royal Highness has not shown up yet, it is likely that she will notcome back anytime soon. We are the five judges of the beast curing competition, so it is reasonablefor us to announce the result in her place,” one of the five judges said, rising to his feet.

"Then what's your decision?" Woods asked, raising an eyebrow.

The judge who had spoken looked at his companions before turning back to Woods. "Although thebeast master of the Cao Clan managed to bring the spirit-manipulated beast back to life andcompleted the competition, we can't overlook the fact that he caused the beast to die first, whetheraccidentally or deliberately in order to attract attention. Therefore, to ensure the fairness of thecompetition, we've decided after a night of discussion that the final winner should be the Qi Clan.After all, the beast master of the Qi Clan, Tate, didn't make any mistakes in the last round of thecompetition, and his performance was outstanding. So, he deserves to be the winner."
