"So that's how it began,” Rocky exclaimed as he finally came to understand the ins and outs ofAlyssa's problem. But there was still one thing that was bothering him. "He doesn't know. What he knows is that I was sent to the Wood Clan when I was a child. Both of uswere born in the spiritual race, but he was sent back to Timber Deity Empire while I stayed and grewup there,” Alyssa replied with a slight nod.

"I'm curious. Is there anyone like you who has the power of the spiritual race?" Rocky asked again."Yes, there is. As far as I know, there's a person similar to me, just one,” Alyssa ascertained his guesswith a smile.

"Wow! Tell me more about it!" Rocky shouted in excitement. He didn't expect that there wassomeone else besides Alyssa when her very existence was already quite rare.

"Actually, you are quite close to her. It's Marcia. People never suspected her, because the Witches inthe Holy Dragon Empire can control that kind of power like the spiritual race does. The truth isanother long and complicated story however, which can be traced back to a long time ago..."Alyssa's words astonished him. How did he miss something that was this big?

"What? Marcia is the same as you? She has a half-spirit body?" Rocky couldn't help but askquestions one after another.

"What do you think? If not, how could she have the ability to seal the evil power in your body?Especially since it does not belong to humans at all!" Alyssa looked at him with an eyebrow raisedthat seemed to call him stupid for not recognizing all these clues.

"However, we're not completely the same, as she was not made on purpose. According to theinformation I gathered over the years, she was born because the previous chief of the DragonMaster Clan fell in love with a human woman, but she survived like me. "You do know a lot! But this kind of thing should have been kept secret by the Dragon Master Clan,so it would have been difficult to replace this out. How did you do it?" Rocky asked eagerly, as hiswhole attention was focused solely on her.

"Actually, I didn't know that she existed until I fought against her for the treasure box. Maybe it wasbecause she and I are of the same kind, so I recognized that something was off about her themoment that I laid eyes on her. After that, I began to investigate her. If not,I'll kill you without even batting my eyelash. I have to, for the sake of my safety, for you know toomuch about me now." As she spoke, her tone suddenly turned more somber as compared to earlierwhen she just sounded indifferent. She looked at Rocky coldly, and he could not help but shiver as ifher glances pierced his body. He knew for sure at that moment that she was not joking.

"I don't have a choice, do I? It's not up to me now," Rocky replied with a bitter smile. He would nothave asked so much if he knew this beforehand, but then again, he should have expected that shewould go to these lengths just to keep her secrets.

"Smart choice. Okay, let me finish my story. According to the prophecy of Moon Fox, there is onlyone person in this world that can remove the curse on me. I've been looking for this person fornearly thirty years, but I've never found any clue.” Alyssa's voice trailed off, as she raised her headand cast a glance at Rocky before continuing, "Until I met you."

"You mean I'm the one you're looking for? And I can remove your curse?” Rocky asked immediately."I'm not sure yet, but Moon Fox has saved you twice. It told me that you're the one, and the cursehas given me a strong indication that it is indeed you. Every clue indicates that you have somethingto do with it, and even if it's not you, at least you have some clues that may lead me to it. That's thereason why I didn't kill you and allowed my younger brother to take you back to Timber DeityEmpire. However, I didn't expect what would take place later. You created such big trouble for me,"Alyssa said as her eyes darkened briefly.

"No wonder you were so agitated to see me back then, so much that you even took me away infront of so many people.” Now, Rocky finally understood another piece of the puzzle.

"Now, it's my turn to ask you. You need to be honest,” Alyssa said lightly, and hesitation flashedacross her face but it disappeared in an instant.

"Well, I will do my best,” Rocky answered with a mock bow. However, he frowned inwardly, as hewondered where she got so many questions to ask.

"After we cultivated together for the first time, I found the power of spiritual soul inside your body,apart from the evil power and the seal Marcia applied to suppress it. This power controls the evilpower which you're unable to command. It's not Marcia's though, and I know that she can't possesssuch a strong and pure power. So, tell me honestly. Have you met anyone from the spiritual race, orhave you been saved by them before?" Alyssa continued.

Rocky hesitated for a while, unsure whether to tell the truth.

But in the end, he nodded his head, not meeting her eyes.
